The Neighborhood:

Situated just half a mile from the property is the local BKSA Kite school and national training centre. The centre offers lessons in kiteboarding, powerkiting, kite buggying, kite landboarding, hydrofoiling, stand up paddleboarding along with a variety of group activity days.

The house is only a few minutes’ drive to the medieval Cinque Port town of Rye for shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Why not take the opportunity to reconnect with nature by visiting the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Here you can discover the wildlife in a mosaic of coastal habitats- shingle, salt marsh, saline lagoons, coastal grazing marsh, freshwater gravel pits and reedbeds. Explore the ever-changing coastline and military history, or simply enjoy a walk beside the sea.

The area also contains considerable historic interest with military fortifications from the 16th, 19th and 20th centuries, a lifeboat disaster and evidence of people’s early efforts to defend the land from the sea. The flat, open, and historic landscape is popular with visitors. It can provide an incredibly special experience. There is a good network of footpaths that enable much of Nature Reserve to be visited from access points in Rye Town, Winchelsea Beach and Rye Harbour.

Why not bring your bike and try out one of the local cycle paths, from Rye you can pick up the National Cycle Network Route 2 just after the last few houses on the right-hand side The cycle path follows the course of the road for the most part, dipping inland a couple of times until crossing the road just after the sailing lake. It then cuts across the sheep fields, on a tarmac path, arriving at Rye at the road bridge.

Well appointed chalet, everything you need and only couple of minutes walk to beautiful sandy beach. Views over the marshes are stunning, but..... For me, I was disappointed at the location right on the 60mph limit road. Motorbikes and cars took full advantage of no speed cameras and this did detract from the otherwise peace and great beach location. I stayed with a small dog, and couldn't open the patio doors or use the outside space as even though she doesn't tend to stray, felt too risky with the fast road only metres away.

Lovely little cottage across from the beach, with expansive views across the fields beyond. Light and airy, great sunsets. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to places like Rye, Dungeness, Bodiam for those wanting to explore.

We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, nicely decorated and good facilities. the view of the fields was lovely, great for wildlife spotting and so convienient for the beach, and enjoyed jogging the coastal path in the evening, and taking my cup of tea there first thing in the morning. Very close to Rye as well and regualry served by buses.

Jury’s Gap is 1k from the main Camber beach but the beach here is just as beautiful minus the crowds. The cottage is directly opposite steps up and over to Broomhill beach. Quiet, perfect for dogs, running, cycling and early morning swimming. The cottage is compact but modern with everything you need. Great shower, plenty of parking and a secure area for doggie. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend. The weather was fab. for us and the cottage did get quite hot during the day, would suggest always keeping blinds down to reduce this as opening the windows at night attracted lots of mosquitos. Outside eating area is in full sun all evening. Great views over the Marshes. Fabulous sunsets.

Stayed here with my husband and small dog. Lovely and cosy as soon as you walk in. Much more spacious on inside than you would think from outside. Well appointed with all mod cons and kitchen equipment. Beach is only a few feet away across the road. Our dog loved the easy access. Only negative is the cobwebs. There are quite a few of them and they have been there a while. My husband got the hoover out and tried to deal with them himself, but hoover has very little suction, which didn’t help. The cleaning team need to address this, as I can see it has been mentioned on several reviews on other sites.

This is truly a beautiful, quiet and very stylish place to stay. It’s warm and cosy, is very well equipped, clean and surprisingly spacious. Great for dogs with a contained space and just across the road from the beach which is wonderful and clean. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. The owner is also very lovely and helpful. Thank you

My wife and I with our little dog had such a great stay. Even with torrential weather we had such a super time, not too far a drive away from anywhere and a lovely walk along the front with the dog in the morning. The property was as we hoped, cosy, clean and warm. Perfect New Years getaway, can’t recommend enough.
