Why stay in the same old cabin or condo when you can stay in our beautiful, clean and unique A-Frame surrounded by trees and abundant with wildlife.
The location of this home is perfect for your Estes vacation. It is located in a very quiet collection of a few cabins about a 15 minute hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or the the YMCA property and a 1.5 mile drive to Downtown or the Beaver Meadows entrance into RMNP.
You will have a marvelous Rocky Mountain vacation in this clean, quiet, fully appointed vacation home. We have two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony where you can hear the Big Thompson River through the trees. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Downstairs is tastefully decorated with cabin style furniture with a pull-out queen and pull-out twin bed. Downstairs is great for kids to sleep in while the grown-ups sleep quietly upstairs.
We have a newer remodeled full kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher and microwave. We also have a full sized washer and dryer too.
You can relax and read a book by the wood-burning stove, watch DVD's on the TV (we have a large selection of DVD's stocked), play classic Atari video games or sit on the front or back porches and watch the elk, deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds etc. that are frequently seen on the property.
If you want to hike, this is the location for you. You can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park along the picturesque boulder strewn Big Thompson River and be in the Moraine Park area (prime fishing and elk viewing area) in about 15 minutes (accessed through the corner of the YMCA property). You can also hike along Glacier Creek for more fishing and beautiful trails. The YMCA has numerous trails where mountain biking is allowed. We are close to quite a few restaurants, shopping, horseback riding, fishing, miniature golf and all that Estes has to offer on Highway 66 (Tunnel Rd) into downtown Estes.

This cabin was perfect. My family enjoyed this cozy cabin with games , movies and the wonderful view. They had pretty much everything you need to spend a few days.
The house was very cute and convenient for getting to Rocky Mountain National Park. The house had plenty of space for my family of 4 and was very clean. The only part my daughter didn't like was the spiral stair case, it was steep but in the listing so not a surprise.
Nice stay. Accurate description of property, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The location of this property is IDEAL as it is very close to the park entrance and it is quiet. Our sons LOVED the spiral staircase. The A-frame has so much cuteness potential, but it needs some TLC. When we pulled up, the grass/weeds had grown high, and it was clear that the yard had not been addressed in some time, so the first impression wasn't excellent. The interior needs deep cleaning. Most major surfaces were clean, but the nooks and crannies had dust, dirt, spiderwebs, and many places needed fresh paint. There were also some issues with bugs. My husband woke up in the night to a large moth on his face, and we killed multiple moths and spiders during our stay. There is also a strong musty smell, which is concerning for guests who have allergies. This place is great if you are looking for a place to sleep with a bathroom and kitchen. It worked for us, but we probably wouldn't repeat.
Found this place kinda last minute and for a great price. Overall I think we got what we paid for. Nothing fancy which is fine but the place really needs a deep clean. The upstairs was especially lacking in cleanliness. There were what looked like a few pet stains on the carpets and I assume they were pet stains because it smelled like urine. It was a real turn off and we were glad when our stay was over.
Our family had a great time! This as a perfect spot for us to land each day after exploring/ hiking in RMNP!
This A frame had everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. The couches are worn, but everything else was well kept for an older home. It felt clean and comfortable. The spiral stairs are a bit challenging if you are tall and with the younger kids but are sturdy and needed for this space. The owner was very responsive with my questions and very knowledgeable of the area. The location is wonderful and peaceful. I would definitively recommend this space!
Home was perfectly located between National Park and Estes Park.
Had a fantastic time. Some small suggestions would be a few things would need to be updated. The screen doors should be replaced and the beds upstairs are very old queen beds. It would be nice to replace one with a king size bed, especially the back bed is very uncomfortable and loud when tossing and turning. Over all we enjoyed our trip
Overall very good, but there was no coffee, coffee filters or laundry detergent.
Cozy, clean, and perfectly comfortable cabin that was well stocked and perfect for a weekend getaway. I loved that is was close to hiking trails in the YMCA and several great restaurants. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck, with views of mule deer and wild turkeys. I would definitely stay here again!
Great location, good value, comfortable, and scenic! For the benefit of very elderly people, the property description should Include a cautionary note about the spiral staircase access from upstairs bedrooms to the only bathroom located on the ground floor!
It was a great fit for the two of us, had what we needed as far as amenities included. It was close enough to town for us, but far enough out to get away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park for rest and relaxation. Some driveway maintenance for low ground clearance vehicles is desired, we had to split the track in our Taurus to keep from dragging the bottom, but it added to the adventure. It is still a neat place to plop in the overstuffed chair, put feet up, and kick back with whatever libations interest you. Thank you!!
Only issue was the lock box was hard to open.
My husband, adult daughter, and I enjoyed our stay in this charming A frame home. It has all the comforts of home and we enjoyed many meals right there after our long hikes in the RMNP! It is very close to the entrance to the park so makes a perfect place for serious hikers. The washer and dryer were awesome! The road up to the house is a rocky dirt road so you do need a good car.
Likes the idea of being close to RMNP. Did a lot of mountain hiking and liked the Roku TV in the cabin when not out and about.
This property was tucked away, rustic, and close to everything we wanted to do. Close to town, 5 minutes from the National Park and YMCA of the Rockies, and all services you could need (gas, groceries, food). The screens in the house need some repair, but other than that, it was perfect for our family. It was not fancy, so it was affordable for us in a very expensive area. It was quiet, except for the nice sound of the rushing water in the river, we saw deer feeding by the property several times, and when we had trouble with the fans, the owner had one brought to us. My children want to come back to the same place when we go out west again!
We had a fabulous Stay in Estes. The Aframe was quant and cozy. We saw some beautiful wildlife out the back window doors. We had all the amenities we needed.
Great location to entrance to park.
The property was great and we really enjoyed our stay. The location was fabulous. The driveway to reach the a-frame was quite rough and challenging for a low clearance vehicle. We had some challenges reaching the property managers regarding unclear check-in instructions. Phone calls, texts, and e-mails went unanswered. Fortunately, the rep at VRBO was able to help us or we would not have been able to locate the code to open the property.
We loved everything about this vacation. This charming A frame is ideally located. It's a bit out of the hectic town center and very close to the park entrance. Based on the images I thought the cabin would be a bit more secluded and that there was a stream, but those things didn't matter much. Additionally, the owner provided his phone number. This was extremely helpful when I had problems with the lock box. Overall the cabin is rustic, cozy and a wonderful place for a getaway.
Unique little property close to the park and town. Outside of the hub bub of town but close enough to get everything you need. Nothing fancy but all the basic needs. Must be ok with steep twirly staircase to get to bedrooms. Great place for a weekend getaway
