The property was as advertised and we enjoyed our stay. Two things to know - total enjoyment of the property is weather related and you should have a vehicle that can “off-road” to the tent. It was very windy and less than 40 degrees, with sporadic drizzle in early May, so we couldn’t enjoy anything outside of the tent. Heater and heated blanket, along with many extra blankets, kept us warm in the tent. Once you exit off the main road toward the tent, only half of that entry road is paved with the other half being dirt and stone. A car with a low wheel base may not do well.

Everything was wonderful! The views were great and the site was great. It was nice and quite. Very relaxing. We had the opportunity to meet the owner while he was out checking the property. Very friendly and professional.

My second time staying at El Glampo! It is nothing short of spectacular. The accommodations, timeliness in response and views! My favorite place to bring out of town guests!

Simply Unforgettable: El Campo Glamping Delivers!I can't recommend El Campo Glamping highly enough—it was an absolutely phenomenal experience that truly exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a private, breathtaking getaway near White Sands National Park, look no further. The location is the star of the show. We enjoyed incredible privacy and the views were nothing short of amazing. The sunrise painted a spectacular scene over the landscape, and the sunset was equally beautiful, offering a perfect, uninterrupted view of the distant White Sands National Park. It was the perfect backdrop for a tranquil retreat.Beyond the stunning scenery, I have to give a massive shout-out to the host. There was a slight misunderstanding with our Vrbo reservation, but they handled it with immediate, professional, and courteous service. They corrected the issue quickly and made sure our stay went off without a hitch. This kind of excellent customer care really cemented our positive feelings about El Campo. If you value incredible views, peace and quiet, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, book your stay here. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at El Campo! We stayed 3 nights: 2 in El Segundo and 1 in El Primero. We actually liked the shelter of El Segundo a little better, but both were excellent - VERY clean, VERY comfortable …. My wife says “nicer than a motel room!” The road in and out was easily passable, the bathrooms were really clean and kept up well. We even got to visit with the owners on Saturday afternoon when they came for a routine maintenance visit! If we are ever in this area again in our travels, we will MOST ASSUREDLY try to stay here.

We had an amazing overnight stay to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The place was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located—just a short drive to Cloudcroft, with restaurants and shops nearby. We’d definitely stay again, maybe even try one of their other sites!

My recent stay at John's Yurt in High Rolls Mountain Park was absolutely breathtaking! Tucked away in a private, quiet, and truly beautiful location, it offered an unparalleled escape. The night sky was simply unbelievable – a blanket of what felt like a billion stars. The yurt itself is a marvel, equipped with everything you could possibly need and surprisingly spacious, never feeling cramped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pull out sofa was too guaranteeing a restful night. We were particularly impressed by the spotless shower and bathroom area, and the incinerating toilet was a brilliant, eco-friendly touch!Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by an unexpected dust storm that closed the interstate, preventing us from reaching the yurt for one of our planned nights. While disappointing, it only fueled our desire to return and enjoy a few more nights in this magical spot.John is an exceptional host; the booking process was seamless, and communication was excellent throughout. An added bonus? It's dog-friendly, so your fur babies can join in the fun! If you're seeking a unique, comfortable, and cozy getaway under an awe-inspiring celestial display, look no further. You won't be disappointed – in fact, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised by this truly enjoyable experience. Kudos to John for creating and sharing such a magnificent place!

We were looking for something different than another hotel, in natural surroundings but not too rustic. This glamping experience provided just that, it felt exotic! John David thought of everything, from heating, AC, blankets, towels, and complete instructions on using the facilities. There was enough seating indoors and out for all 4 of us. SPECTACULAR views! The futon sleeper was more comfortable than I was expecting. When we had trouble unlocking the door (because we didn’t re-read the instructions) we got an immediate response. We had a front wheel drive van and made it up the steep, windy stone road, but a 4 wheel drive would have helped. Highly recommended!

This property was stunning, both from the location and the facilities themselves. The tent was charming and cozy with options for cooling off during the warm day and staying warm during the cooler nights. It was fairly easy to find and I had no problems reaching it in my rental car. The view itself was beautiful, both during the day and night. Fantastic glamping experience, highly recommend!
