Woodsy/modern cabin, BIG VIEWS, firepit, close hikes, WIFI, close to BR / Boone

Loved our time here! Alison and Brad really thought of all the details - we had everything that we needed. The privacy and view were amazing. Definitely recommend - a great place to get away!

The cabin was amazing, it was very clean, neat, quiet and peaceful. All bedrooms, kitchen, TV room, bathrooms, dining area, outdoor areas, grill, and appliances were immaculate. It also smelled clean. It really is a beautiful blend of modern and rustic. The fridge, stove and range hood literally look brand new. We didn’t really use any dishes to speak of, but they were all very clean too. The home furnishings were nice too, the bathrooms have updated toilets/sinks as well as great water pressure in the showers! That was nice. Brad & Alison were great hosts as well, excellent communication before, during and after the stay! Thanks for having us, we would love to come back to the cabin with our kids to visit Tweetsie again. (it’s been a few years) The location is convenient to Tweetsie and a close drive to the following: Boone/App St, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mtn, Banner Elk & Linville. While at the property we saw rabbit, deer, red squirrel, turkey, chipmunk, hummingbirds and other birds. We really enjoyed the reduced light pollution that you experience on the mountain. It was excellent for stargazing! Don’t get me wrong, there is sufficient light at the cabin (a “street light” over the driveway)We had great clear nights with no cloud cover and could see the stars, galaxy, comets/meteors passing behind the stars with the naked eye. If my wife wasn’t with me, I would have slept on the deck. It was so beautiful and peaceful. You could also hear owls “Talking” to each other. :)

We absolutely loved our stay! The host was extremely welcoming. Even during the devastation of Helene we wouldn’t think of messaging to check on our reservation and in fact had came up with a backup plan for our kids Christmas trip. But she reached out and said she would refund our entire trip if we chose not to come but that their house and personal home we untouched and if we still wanted to come, they were more than happy to have us. We decided to go and so glad we did. The house is absolutely beautiful, in fact I want that kitchen in our new house the location is great, 15 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock. We have 5 kids (teens & preteeens) and had plenty of space. We didn’t get to use the fire pit bc it snowed and the wind was blowing like crazy but we definitely plan to come back and stay with her again! We ride our Harley on a lot of over night trips and stay in a lot of VRBO/AirB&B and this was by far our favorite. This house has everything you could possibly need to cook and I loved her dishes. We had breakfast at the house 2 out of the 3 mornings. We also loved the limited cell service and no wifi!!! It’s nice to disconnect and this is the perfect place to unwind!!

The property had a large porch to enjoy the mountain views. The firepit was a great place to relax after the days adventures. It is beautifully decorated and was close to both Boone and Blowing Rock but far enough away to feel secluded. The beds were the most comfortable of any VRBO we ever rented. The owners were very quick with communication and great to work with. We will DEFINITELY be back!

We chose this place for a long weekend getaway. Pics did not do it justice. It has everything needed and is close enough to Blowing Rock but far enough to avoid the crowds and traffic. We will definitely be booking this unit again very soon.

Only one tv and no internet that I could find. Other than that great place. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
