Stayed Jul 3, 2025Myself, partner, and 2 teenage kids love to get away from the city on long weekends to explore small towns and hike gorgeous state parks. This 4th of July was no exception and Utopia River Retreat lived up to its name. A perfectly sized cabin with anything we could need was a perfect home base to our adventures in Hill Country. It was quiet, clean, surrounded by nature, and close to the Frio and Garner State Park. The fireworks we perfect and the sunsets absolutely stunning. Will definitely be back.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024We liked the cabin; it was cozy and comfortable. The first 2 nights, we were the only ones in the property, so, it was truly an away-from-it-all vacation. Our pups loved it too and was super thrilled to see deer in the yard in the morning. The river was dried up (in November), but, the trees had turned colors, so, it was nice. This location is perfect if you want to visit Garner State Park and Lost Maples.

Stayed Nov 1, 2024This was really nice area and it was very quiet. The cabin was cute and you had a lot of space. There are other cabins there but you have a lot of space separating yours from others. The place was very clean. Had all the amenities needed. Definitely recommend staying there and would stay again.
