Talkeetna, Alaska
We are so happy to host you at this mountainside retreat. We have poured our hearts into creating this relaxing getaway. Only a few miles from downtown Talkeetna & just a 1/4 mile from the Talkeetna Lakes trail system. You will find miles of running, biking, and skiing trails. Nestled on over an acre, you have a ton of privacy to get away and relax.
Built in 2023, this cozy 700 sq ft cabin has top-of-the-line amenities like heated tile floors, a heated towel rack, bidet, back-lit mirror, an in-unit washer & dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, solid wood doors, and custom lighting.
This home is a year-round retreat with a spacious arctic entryway to hang up your skis and gear after hitting the trails. Outside you will find over 500 sq ft of south-facing deck to soak up the afternoon sunshine! Our custom home has a 6-foot overhang allowing you covered seating outside so you can get fresh air and stay dry no matter the weather. BBQ, Firepit, and yard games are all on-site.
There is plenty of space for your group to park and bring up ATV's or boats if you plan to recreate in the area. The third "bedroom" is a second smaller dry cabin on the property we call the bunkhouse. The bunkhouse has a much more rustic feel with a bunk bed, futon, wood stove, and small fridge.
**The main cabin comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults and the bunk house comfortably up to 4 adults - Max capacity for the entire property is 9 people.**
Please note this property is located in a residential neighborhood and parties are not allowed. Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
ATTENTION WINTER GUESTS - The bunk house's main heat source is a wood stove. There is a back up electrical space heater as well. If you are not comfortable operating a wood stove this may not be the best option for your stay.

We were blown away by our stay at the Tri River Retreat! The location for us was perfect - we could venture downtown within a few minutes and within a mile the X Y trails have some of the best skiing, hiking, biking and ice skating in the area. All the activites we could ask for, and when we wanted to relax there was plenty of room with our family plus another: solo stove out back plus deck hangout, bunkhouse for the rambunctious kids or as adult reprieve. Clever interior decorations, modern amenities were a plus that let us relax and everything was quite comfortable, especially the radiant heat floors. We'll be coming back in the near future!
With the computer trying to book I had difficulty
Host was very accommodating. The house is fabulous.
This was the perfect retreat for us to get away from the city and visit Talkeetna! The cabin is 5 mins from town yet tucked away to where it feels private and secluded. It’s also very close to lakes and trails for summer and winter activities. The cabin has so many upgrades and is very comfortable. We brought our baby with us and we were able to set up the Pack n Play for him in the bedroom to sleep near us. We enjoyed the quiet by cooking on the grill and having a fire outside at night. We had additional members of our party stay in the bunkhouse, which is just steps away from the main cabin. Can’t recommend this place enough for your stay in Talkeetna! We will be booking again in the future!
Wonderful cabin. Very peaceful and quiet:)
This house and bunkhouse were great! The location is hard to beat across from the Talkeetna Lakes park and just a short drive into the town. It’s also close to Denali brewing company, the bakery, AND the birch syrup place! The house has two places for sleeping, a super cute bunkhouse with wood stove and bunks as well as the brand new and very well appointed main house. The house is new with great finishes and some covered deck for a great outside sitting situation. The host was communicative and let us use the fire pit. The only reason that it didn’t get 5 stars is that there was a minor plumbing issue during our stay that made things a little unpleasant at times. I would definitely stay here again with a group up to 4, but sharing a single bathroom with more than 4 might be a little tough. Definitely an awesome place in Talkeetna!
This house was amazing! Perfect for experiencing Alaska. Liz was a great communicator and very accommodating. Appreciated how she checked on us from time to time to make sure we were good. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. Thank you again! If we make it back up to Alaska again we would definitely come back. ?
Everything was super clean and brand new. There were bikes and kayaks on site for us to rent from the hosts which was a huge bonus for us. Super relaxing and private. Close access the trails and Talkeetna bike path. Will definitely be coming back, thank you Liz!
Great place to stay and the neighborhood has all newer places.
In Talkeetna for just the weekend, drove up from Anchorage to visit family. Property was new and clean, tiny dry cabin was perfect for the young men. Easy drive to town, good stay overall
Our family really enjoyed our stay here. We loved being just off the bike path and a short ride down the hill to town. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was all super comfortable and we loved the decor. When the sun finally came out, the deck was heavenly. We had dinner on the grill, built a fire and the kids ran around exploring the property. If we'd seen a little more sun, we would have taken the kayaks over to the lake, but it wasn't meant to be this trip. Already talking about booking a weekend this winter to come back for some skiing.
This was the cleanest “cabin” I’ve ever stayed in. The location was superb. Close enough to downtown Talkeetna (5 min bike ride) but still a ton of privacy. It had all the amenities we could’ve asked for and the host was super helpful!
