Trail Ridge: Pet friendly + private couples cabin w/hot tub in Hocking Hills

Spent 4 nights at Trail Ridge and it was just perfect! We hiked, explored several local communities and relaxed in the hot tub each day. All areas in Hocking Hills were easily accessible from this cabin! It was spotless and had all the amenities to feel like home.

Pros- nice area, decent cabin, central air worked great. Cons, water pressure was super weak couldn’t shower and the water wouldn’t stay hot. Hot tub was so filled with chemicals it burned your eyes… over all 5/10 for me

The property and cabin are beautiful! Perfect for a couple get away. I would recommend purchasing a new mattress because the current one is broken down and very old. Also, the shower does not have any pressure, unfortunately.

Cabin is in a secluded location with lots of privacy. Kitchen has all needed necessities. The grill on the back porch worked perfectly. Hot tub was also fully functional. Very close to the park. We slept well in the bed. I did, however, bring my own comforter and pillows. On the downside, the toilet was stained completely brown. Definitely needs some CLR or an acid wash. It is extremely shocking, especially the first time you lift up the toilet seat. Bathroom sink was severely stopped up. I did leave a note for housekeeping. Wood paneling in the bathroom is covered with black mold. Most likely this is why cabin smells like musty mold. The Couch is severely broken down. When you sit down in the middle you sink to the bottom. It felt as if it was used as a trampoline at some point. I will say location is excellent and I loved the privacy.

Great access to the park with nice room and hot tub

First time using VRBO and we will do it again for sure. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing get away for 2 plus our Dog !Comfortable bed, nice fire pit area, comfortable seating areas, surrounded by nature. Close to hiking areas which was a plus.

It was a very cozy cabin. Cabin was clean and very quiet area. The host was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Clean room No fireplace

Was very clean but very well used. Kitchen table wobbled. Bathroom window cracked. Screen door torn and didn’t close properly. Couch very uncomfortable. No closet or anywhere to hang clothing or put belongings.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway here. The cabin was very clean, the hot tub was lovely, and maintenance was very easy to contact and quick to respond when we had questions. We would love to come back again soon!

The cabin was great! We had a great time. The only issue was that there was no hot water in the shower.

Loved the location, the quiet dark of the area. Kitchen was perfectly stocked and everything was neat as a pin when I arrived.

Everything was super clean

It was so easy to book the stay & communication was great. The cabin was clean & had everything & more for our stay. When the listing says 4WD required, they are definitely serious. Hoping to return in the spring!

Cabin was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and secluded. The staff was very helpfully. Wish we didnt have to leave early it was an amazing time.

The space was perfect for a cozy and private get away. The bed was SUPER comfortable and the hot tub has a great view!

The Trail Ridge cabin was small but comfortable for 2 people. It seemed to have been recently remodeled and would have been ideal, except that mineral buildup in the shower head meant poor water flow, making showering difficult, and the water heater was not sufficient for sustained hot water (we visited on the first truly cold days of November). In addition, the oven thermostat seems to be broken, so we were only able to use the stovetop effectively. Hopefully, those issues can be addressed in the near future so others can enjoy their stay here completely.

Great little cabin for 2 in the best location for hitting all the popular trails and things to do. Very clean cabin and nice king size bed. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials for our stay. The hot tub was perfect for those aches and pains after the strenuous days on the trails. Very private and beautiful settng. We knew it going in, but not gonna lie, the no wifi part was difficult after a day or so! At least our texts and phones worked well there, though. Giod cabin fir a long weekend stay.

Cabin was very clean and neat. Bed was comfortable and good pillows. Hot tub was good. Instructions were all clearcomfortable and very nice. Fire ring was a plus. Chairs for porch and fire ring were included. All needed utensils were provided in the kitchen. The Bathroom towels were plush very nice. New Shower curtain. Was near to most trails so very conveniently located. Will stay here again if we return to this area. Recommending highly.

Amazing experience relaxing while in the cabin. Very private. Super clean! We will be back to the area in the spring to complete a couple more hikes! Loved this area

My wife and I had a great time here for our anniversary! The cabin was great for a couples retreat and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time around the fire, hiking or soaking in the hot tub!

Overall a great stay. Interior was well clean on arrival. However we found a beer can outside on the mantle right as we had checked in which was no biggie. The appliances are a little out dated. The freezer worked amazing however fridge took a while to get cool but is noted side of the fridge that it may take a while. Hot tub was awesome and worked well. However the only issue we had was that toliet would run all night, but did flush. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Great to place disconnect.

Great location and secluded cabin within minutes of hocking hills state park. Only thing I would like to add that the water smelled like sulfur, the toilet could use some love, and there was no wifi. But other than that it was a great place to stay!

Overall our stay was pleasant. The lack of a closet or space to put clothing was a draw back. The lack of cell phone reception or wifi was also unfortunate since we had family emergency calls coming in with no way to respond.

The cabin was very nice and clean. Very secluded which we loved. We went to Hocking Hills Old Man’s Cave. I would definetly stay here again.I have to say that a new couch is needed, and the toilet needs some work.The bed was very comfortable and view was great. Thank you

We celebrated our anniversary with a 2 night stay. The cabin was a perfect retreat. Cozy and clean with everything we needed. Even though it rained both nights and we didnt get to enjoy the fire pit, we enjoyed the covered deck with the jacuzzi. So relaxing. We have some time during day when it didnt rain to enjoy hiking and sight seeing all around hocking hills. Highley recommend this cabin, great location, clean, comfy bed, equipped kitchen with all you need, and great communication with owner! *be aware steep hills. We had trouble backing up hill in our 2 wheel drive when we arrived. Ended up going past cabin and long story short got stuck. Cabin was very nice everything worked besides the lights in the hot tub. The shower could use an update but other than that everything was nice. The driveway is very steep for the last few cabins so plan accordingly, also there appears to be a loop around on the maps I would advise not to take that.

Overall comfortable and quiet. Couldn’t stand to use the water due to the sulfur smell.

It was a great experience at Trail Ridge. The environment is very serene and perfect for relaxing and clearing your head. The only cons I have are the toilet bowl. It looks disgusting honestly, something can be done about it. The water pressures aren’t the best but it’s understandable.I know it’s a pet friendly space but at least can the space be well vacuumed so I don’t have to see dog and cat hairs in the sofa and on the beds? Not everyone likes that. But overall it was a good experience

Even though the cabin was very secluded in the woods, it was very clean, very quaint, and had great amenities. Having cable was very nice at night while it rained and we were unable to go anywhere. Communication was very clear via email for check in and check out as well as it being clearly posted inside of the home,

We wanted a small quiet cabin to share and engage in our memories we have made 30 past years of marriage. And we got exactly what we asked for. We both have never been here and it was great to experience the beauty of the wilderness and the community.

Trail Ridge was just magical in Spring! The cabin was perfect: woodsy & yet contemporary, hot tub so soothing after my hikes, nearly put me to sleep! The grounds themselves are idyllic and couldn't have dreamt up more perfect natural surroundings. Quiet here in spring and great time to see the burgeoning flora. Drive way down the hill was a bit daunting-looking, but managed with my Corolla. Gravel was more stable than expected!

My 6 year old and I stayed at Trail Ridge the week of spring break. It was perfect for the Hocking Hills experience we desired. Nestled perfectly just a few miles from all the trails, we also felt completely isolated from everything. We truly enjoyed the location, amenities, and value for this space.

The cabin was very comfortable for two people. We really enjoyed it. We were there off-season so the area was quiet. The cabin had everything we needed for a stay of a few days.

This was mine and my husband’s first getaway in 2 years and it did not disappoint! The cabin was so cute and cozy. We LOVED soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking. We will definitely be back!

Bathroom sink needed some better drainage!! Toilet. Had buildup on it the inside! Didn’t flush very well at the end of our stay but my husband cleaned it some then it worked better! Thank you

The cabin is perfect for 2 people. The location is wonderful. We couldn't see anyone else from this property. So peaceful to sit on the deck and listen to nature. Our only concern was the shower. The water pressure was less than we hoped for and the hot water didn't last long at all. But we made it work. One note for anyone wanting to cook - the kitchen is stocked sparingly and prep areas are small. You may want to bring along a few of your favorite cooking items to make it easier. Overall, we loved the place and had a wonderful time!
