The Lakota: Privately situated couples cabin w/hot tub + king bed: Hocking Hills

Our stay at the Lakota was really nice! The cabin was easy to get to and close to everything. It was very clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay very much!

It was like the quintessential cabin in the woods. It was very peaceful.

Everything was great. Cabin is secluded and was very clean.

The overall stay was fabulous. The only downside was the hot tub jets weren’t very strong. We talked to the maintenance guy about it and he said he would see about getting a bigger motor for it. Also, it would be nice to have a bigger coffee pot instead of a 2 cup pot. Other than that, it was a nice cabin. Peaceful. I would recommend this cabin to others.

Cute cabin tucked away in the woods close to most of the parks/trails in the Hocking Hills area. I would have given it a full five stars, but the jets in the hot tub barely worked, and the bed was a bit wonky. The support slats under the mattress bowed down, so we got to cuddle up close, which we love, but also caused poor sleep. We loved the peacefulness this place has and enjoyed our time!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lakota. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and we really had the chance to unplug.

Very easy check-in/out instructions. Very clean space. Nice kitchenette. Hottub was very nice for the colder nights. Directions were easy to follow to site.

The cabin was clean, cute and well put together. The host was great and responsive to any questions I had and was very accommodating us!

Lost a day of hot tub use because it was set in power save mode which prevented it from going past luke warm. Couldnt figure it out because the control panel was missing the cover that told what buttons were which. Due to no wifi and very poor cell service, we couldnt get it fixed until next day when breaker blew to bathroom/living room. Also bed was just ok as far as comfort. I honestly would have only given a 3star, but the maintenance guy was very prompt and professional.

A perfect couples’ get away. Selfishly, my wife and I would want to keep this cabin a secret so it doesn’t book up. The reality is that it was perfect for a 2 night getaway. I would suggest the owner or property manager check the deck where the hot-tub is located…the deck has shifted over time and is tilting aggressively; probably needs to be jacked up to level and reinforced.

Very intimate and cozy. The property was easy to find. Cabin was clean and the hot tub was easy to use. The 5AM suspected racoon visitor above on the roof trying to serenade us with its claw love song was authentic.

It was the perfect place to stay for two people and still close to lots of attractions.

Very clean. Careful with the shower cause it goes from super hot to super cold. Just shower fast. Great experience otherwise

Very nice cozy cabin for a couples getaway. Only complaint is that the shower head has zero pressure, and hot water came and went all the time. But other than that, great!

Everything was perfect! I took my 9yr old niece and we loved everything about the cabin. Cozy, clean, location. It was all wonderful and we enjoyed relaxing.

Please don't make the same mistake as us by booking this cabin!!! the deck that the hot tub sits on is NOT structurally sound or appropriately supportive for the weight of the hottub. The entire deck is sloping towards the back of the property and there is almost a 5 inch slope of the water when you open up the hottub because of this. My husband and I felt very unsafe and were truly baffled at how clearly inappropriate the engineering of the deck was in order to support the weight of a hottub. Also due to the location of the AC unit inside, the entire ceiling across the cabin was wet (condensation) and literally dripped down on us, the couch, and the floor during our stay. You can see the areas on the ceiling that are moldly that remain condensated the most often. We believe the mold also attributed to an odd mildewy smell in the cabin. We decided to make the most of our trip and I won't say it was the worst experience we've ever had (hence 2 stars instead of 1). But this cabin was so disappointing and we will not be returning.

This property was great! A perfect getaway for a couple. The cabin was extremely clean and had nice furnishings. Communication with the host was excellent. The location was perfect for hiking the trails of Hocking Hills. Would definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed our long weekend trip, Cabin was clean cozy enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck looking out into the forest. So close to all the attractions and hiking! Definitely will be back!

Had a wonderful stay. Property was clean and well stocked. Bed was comfortable and the hot tub was a pleasant way to relax after hiking. We spent much of our time on the porch and felt like we were in a tree house. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this property. It was so perfect for a quiet and relaxing weekend away. The moment we opened the door to this little gem we were blown away. Sooooo clean and the covered porch with the hot tub and grill was an extra bonus. We will definitely be back!

This cabin was perfect for a newlywed couple to escape the day to day rat race and get in touch with the beauty of nature in a clean, comfortable, and disconnected space! We didn’t look at our devices all weekend and very much enjoyed the intimate yet spacious Lakota cabin together! Everything about this trip was easy from booking to checkout. Would highly recommend this place to friends and family looking for a nice place to stay for the weekend!

Cabin was very clean and tidy, all services worked as expected. Kitchen is a little under stocked, but manageable. Appliances were new and worked great. Overall a nice place to stay in the Hocking Hills area.

Adorable cabin! Clean, up to date, hot tub was perfect. We’ve stayed at many other cabins, this is our favorite by far. It’s also nice to know this cabin is non-pet friendly which was perfect for my husband since he has allergies. Very private, but we brought a clothesline to up hang towels to block the cabin to bottom right of hot tub. Close to all the hiking trails too.

Very nice little cabin perfectly located close to many of the Hocking Hills best hiking trails.Thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities the Lakota had to offer. Hot tub, king bed, kitchenette and DirecTV.Probably the best thing this cabin has to offer is the solitude. There are a few more properties nearby but enough room in between to provide you plenty of privacy.

We very much so enjoyed our stay at the Lakota. The place was clean and everything inside was nice and modern. It has the bare essentials to sleep comfortably, cook food, and enjoy the area.

Everything was absolutely beautiful due to the cabin and hocking hills.. getting to the cabin by gps was alittle agrevating but its was a blessing and wonderful stay at the lakota.. everything was very clean.. we r recommending to family and friends and we will be back again..Thank u so much

My husband and I are both teachers and were on Fall Break. We just needed a few days to disconnect and this place was exactly what we were needing. Quiet, clean and perfect for dinners, game nights a relaxation.

The property was perfect, and we had an amazing time in Hocking Hills. Plenty of towels, kitchen was stocked well and we enjoyed the deck very much. Even though the temp was very high this week, being under the blanket of trees was very comfortable on the deck.

Had a beautiful stay at the Lakota for a kid-free weekend away. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and soaking in the hot tub after some hikes in the state park. The cabin was very clean and exactly as described. Would happily rebook again if we are in the area again.
