I will start by saying that the cabin is beautiful until you get inside. There were hot wires laying on the floor and coming out of the walls. Not very ideal with kiddos in the house...... It was -22 outside and they kept turning the thermostat down to 67 at nighttime. We woke up freezing every morning. Kept messaging the host every morning and never got it resolved. The beds are as hard as a rock. There also aren't any tvs in the rooms other than the main living room. There are wires sticking out where the tvs should be though. The beds are as hard as a rock. Worst beds I have ever slept on. Also be prepared that there are no blinds on any of the windows, so you get woken up right as the sun comes up in the morning, especially if your a light sleeper. The cabin was absolutely disgusting. No clean blankets that were just thrown in the floor in the lower level closest. The appliances were filthy. Also should be a warning of how high of elevation that the cabin was at. Everyone was so sick due to being at such high elevation. If you've never been to Colorado you would never know or even think about that! They couldn't even leave firewood for the fire. Wouldn't stay here for the amount of money we paid.
Plenty of room for everyone- the extra cabin is great for family that needs quiet time. Pots and pans need to be updated but we were able to come up with ways around. We loved our time here, beautiful view, close to Breckenridge, Frisco and FairPlay.
Really enjoyed the property, the listing is accurate.
We really enjoyed the house. The only issue was not all outside lights worked on the deck. We knew we were in high altitude but was not aware at how bad it would really effect you. But the house itself was great. They even cleaned the driveway within reasonable time of snow.
This house was truly beautiful inside and out. The views from the balcony were spectacular. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable time we spent there with the family. Everything worked as it should and it was all in great condition. Loved the fun amenities like the pool table and hot tub. I would definitely go back.
What a gorgeous location we seen moose a heard of elk and birds that fly right up to you. Just an amazing beautiful property with so much to see. Can't wait to stay here again!!
Loved the overall house, tons of space and very quiet. Hot tub was not great from a water quality stand point and jets didnt seem to work, chose not to use the hot tub.
We very much enjoyed our family vacation to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday in this beautiful location. Having the 2 cabins together was ideal for our son and his new wife to have their own space yet gather together for meals and family time. We were close by all of the mountains we hoped to climb. With binoculars I could see my family at the top of Mount Democrat from the cabin. Sure they were tiny pixels, but I could see all 5 of them up there. We were blessed to see a bear near the cabin as it ran across the road and a moose grazing in the nearby marsh. We also enjoyed worship at The Stone Church Gathering in Alma. Thank you to our host for such a great place to spend 10 days!
We never figured out all the lights. My daughter-the bride was bummed about the Jacuzzi tub not being able to be used. Other than that it was great, birds ate right out of hands. Very spacious for all guests to be separated
We enjoyed our stay at this nice quiet property. Lots of room to spread out but, also nice areas to come together. Visited a lot of surrounding towns. Property management responded promptly to small issues that came up. Some of the furniture and towels could use updating. If had the opportunity would stay again.
A group of friends and I stayed in this cabin for 4 nights and had a great time. The location is remote and quiet, very little light or noise pollution. Easy to get to with Google Maps, just make sure your car is even marginally capable of driving on rough roads for summer months. Our AWD Toyota Sienna made it without any issues, so it isn’t crazy by any means. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay again.
Where are we going…that might be what you’re thinking as Google takes you off on a gravel road up in the mountains! But then you turn into the driveway and in front of you just around the trees is this exquisite cabin! The views from the balcony of 14,000 foot mountains is the BEST way to start your morning with coffee. This beautiful home has everything you need and will exceed your expectations. All it needs is you and your friends and family to fill it! Definitely a place we will return and rebook.
We had a great time and really enjoyed the house. Everything was as expected. The process was very easy. Would love to stay again!
Beautiful view, guiet, alltitude was hard on us. Relaxing in Alma and Fair Play. We also enjoyed Breckenridge!
This cabin was the perfect getaway for a family vacation. The location was great and we were able to see and hear some wildlife as well as just spend time out on the patio with the mountains front and center. Would definitely go again!
Breath taking views and a comfortable stay. Great!
Wonderful property with a cozy fireplace centrally located to enjoy the beautiful views.
This house was very nice the only thing I would complain about is that, the heat was not able to turn on at all.
Very peaceful property. Owners were very accomodating. The small cabin was very cozy, perfect for a winter vacation. Beautiful views all around and breckenridge was very accessible.
My wife and I had a good time in Alma staying at the Lodge at Flamingo Acres. We did get altitude sickness which put a damper on the stay and experience and caused us to have to check out a day early. The only complaint I would have regarding the lodge itself was that the beds were not at all comfortable. We both had to take turns sleeping on the couch some to break up the uncomfortable sleeping. It seems when the two of us were in the bed it would naturally cause us to roll to the middle. The pillows were too flat as well and were not comfortable.
Beautiful property that is well cared for. Prop mgr is on top of things. Very responsive and helpful. Super quiet. After a day of fishing, hiking etc was awesome place to come home to Would rent again!
Very nice stay
Spacious, well-equipped cabin/kitchen. Beautiful views from deck and kitchen/eating areas. Really enjoyed hiking a couple miles right on the property along old mining flumes; very beautiful, peaceful, and relatively flat (important at 10,774 feet elevation). Included a white notebook with guidelines and excellent nearby activity suggestions! Spent time in Fairplay (excellent museum), Alma, and Breckenridge (free gondola ride). Highly recommend.
