Fire stove built for whiskey and big skies. Inside: spiral staircase, Dolly Parton loft, record player, vinyl collection, electric fireplace & a freshly remodeled designer bathroom. Yellowstone's north entrance is 37 miles away. Come for the mountains. Leave having forgotten what day it is.

We are available by phone 24/7 during your stay

Emigrant, Montana is one of the last genuinely unspoiled small towns in the American West. Tucked into Paradise Valley where the Yellowstone River winds south toward the park, it sits in the shadow of the Absaroka Range with the kind of quiet and dark skies that most people have to travel very far to find. Your address — Sagittarius Place — is not an accident. The stars here are extraordinary.

In town you'll find exactly what you want from a Montana escape and nothing you don't. The Old Saloon is a local institution, cold beer, good burgers, and characters worth meeting. Pine Creek Lodge hosts live music in the summer and is one of the great hidden gems of the valley. A handful of galleries and shops round out a town that punches well above its weight.
Adventure is everywhere. The Yellowstone River runs through the valley and is legendary among fly fishing circles, some of the best dry fly fishing in the country is minutes from the cabin. Hiking trails fan out into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in every direction. Wildlife viewing is exceptional year-round. Elk, deer, eagles, and the occasional bear are all part of life in the valley.
Yellowstone National Park is 37 miles south via the north entrance at Gardiner, the only entrance open every single day of the year. Whether you're chasing geysers, bison jams, or wolf sightings in the Lamar Valley, the park is an easy day trip in any season.
In winter the valley transforms completely. The peaks go white, the hot tub becomes essential, and the sauna earns its place as the best seat in the house. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow coaching are all within reach, and the roads stay passable year-round.

This is not a location you stumble upon. Guests who find it tend to come back.

You will have the entire home and 35 acres to yourself.

THE SPACE AT A GLANCE

Cedar hot tub with Absaroka mountain views

The Yellowstone Sky Cabin sits high on a hillside above Emigrant, Montana, private, remote, and positioned for arguably the best views in Paradise Valley.
Outside is where the magic starts. A brand new Sleeping Giant barrel sauna with a glass panel faces directly into the Absaroka Range. Sweat with one of the most dramatic mountain panoramas in the West filling your view. Step out and sink into the cedar hot tub on the deck. As the sun drops, move to the fire stovw, pour something good, and watch the alpenglow fade over the peaks. There is no bad seat at this property.
The main level welcomes you with soaring vaulted ceilings, warm wood floors, and a personality that announces itself immediately. A leather sofa, cowhide rugs, and a mounted deer set the Montana tone. Then a neon sign reading Home is wherever I'm with you reminds you this place has a sense of humor too. The electric flame fireplace makes the living room impossibly cozy on cool mountain evenings. The fully equipped kitchen handles everything from morning coffee to a proper dinner, with a SMEG refrigerator that deserves its own mention.
When the mood strikes, drop the needle on the record player. The vinyl collection covers serious ground.
The primary bedroom is a fully designed room, bold southwestern wallpaper, an orange woven king bed, and a sliding barn door opening into a freshly remodeled en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is boutique hotel quality: a walk-in glass shower tiled floor to ceiling in dramatic geometric black and white tile.
Up the spiral staircase, the loft is presided over by Dolly Parton herself. Featuring floor to ceiling wallpaper, vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a mini-split for year-round comfort. It sleeps three: one queen bed and a twin trundle. The second full bathroom off the loft carries the same Western-chic spirit as the rest of the cabin, cowboy boot shower curtain and all.
The numbers:

1 bedroom + spacious loft
2 full bathrooms
King bed · Queen bed · Twin trundle
Brand new glass-panel barrel sauna
Cedar hot tub
Fire stove with Adirondack seating
Outdoor deck with dining

I wish someone had fully prepared me for the trek to the cabin. It’s at the top of a tall mountain with a winding, steep road made of mud. The road is extremely narrow with no guard rails and takes about 10 mins to get from the main road to the door. If you were to have an accident or need help no would be find you for a while. There’s also only one place to get anything decent to eat at Chico’s resort about 20 mins away. On the other hand the views are very pretty and the house is very cute and clean. The owners are obviously no where close by and answer within about 5 hours or so. I was extremely disappointed because I unfortunately was only able to stay one of my two nights and cut my trip short. Me being a great guest always I inquired about any kind of refund which they ignored and after inquiring again said no. So they made a lot of money off me. I’d go back to the montana area but wouldn’t stay at this cabin again.

Absolutely breathtaking views! The cabin was clean and comfortable in every way. Beds were amazing. Very much a high end boutique vibe on a mountain. Advice I would give is, make sure you have what you need from town (dinner/breakfast) because once you get there you will want to stay in and take in the beautiful views. Also it’s 40 min to a store.Best place I have ever stayed! It was my husband and I and two kids 18 and 17. We explored Yellowstone and did a whitewater rafting trip.Book it!

We loved how the owners communicated very quickly, the home decor, the hot tub, and HOA snow plow.

First the road...it is NOT bad at all. Drive 15ish MPH and your are fine. PLENTY of room for two vehicles with multiple guard rails. We passed FedEx and UPS trucks as well as a propane gas truck and had ample room. The place is amazing and the views are exactly as pictured. The place was extrememly clean and very neat. Just a cool vibe and very relaxing. Ms. Kameko always responded very quickly. Everything was perfect!

It is a delightful cottage with plenty of room. Whimsical decor. And you are definitely away from everything and at the peak of the mountain. The views are breathtaking. This is a romantic and lovely cottage. A true privilege to experience.

When you come from the hospitality business, finding a stellar accommodation is rare, and this property was certainly that! Great property to celebrate a milestone birthday. We’ll certainly be back.

This property is updated, modern and has the most amazing Montana views. It was hard leaving the front yard with such picturesque rolling hills. It takes about 15min of sriving off the maon road, but a drive well worth it!

The drive to the property is about 15 minutes off of what I would consider a main road. At first I was taken back by this but after I saw the property, it was well worth the drive! The property was spotless. There was plenty of entertainment and it was well supplied with paper towels, cleaning supplies, cooking appliances, etc. The owners of the property we easy to communicate with and kindly answered all questions. We considered it one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. Definitely a 10/10.
