Likes: the scenery , the peace and quiet , and well shaded . Great size cabin for myself and bf Dislike : and its not even a dislike more like a suggestion lol iron and ironing board should be in laundry room lol !
The property was perfect. Remote yet close to town. Loved the screened in porch and access to Elk River. The cabin was clean and cozy with everything you would need to feel at home.
The riverside cabin and property is so relaxing! It's a peaceful and quiet place to get away from the hectic schedule of life. We especially loved the screen porch. Check in and check out was a breeze. Our stay was just as we hoped it would be. Thanks to the owners for sharing this beautiful property. ♥️
We had a wedding in Fayetteville and family stayed there. It was a very scenic, and comfortable place to stay. Plenty of room also!
This was our second time at this cabin, and it didn't disappoint. It is a great place to relax and spend your time in Fayetteville. It is centrally located near everything you may need but is removed from all of it so you really feel as if you are off in the woods, away from the fray of life. The steep stairs to river are a bit of a challenge for older individuals but, otherwise, provide enjoyable access to the river. We will look to stay here again when we return to Fayetteville.
This was truly a great place. Everything about the experience was great.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this little cabin in the woods! It was very peaceful and serene. The check-in was simple and easy, and the cabin was very clean. We’ve never been to Fayetteville, but we definitely look forward to coming back. The people in the town were very nice! Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Diehl for having an amazing property!
We stayed in this beautiful cozy cabin for the second time while visiting our good friends who own Pilaroc Farms. We love the privacy and view of the river. My husband caught about a half dozen fish in the river. It's a fun property to play hide n seek with the kids!
Loved it!
My wife and I loved the cabin so much we did not want to go back home. Quiet, serene, artistic, genuine are just a few words to describe this place in the woods with a river running next to it. We shared this experience via word of mouth with some family members; they want to share the experience when we go again, but as selfish as I am not, the family will not be invited to a vacation that's intended for my wife and I. I didn't want to write a review, worried that others will jump at the chance to steal our spot and book before us, leaving us waiting for a chance for the dream location. Nonetheless, I thought about the nice people with whom we interacted who lives out of sight on the property. They may want the business more than I want to keep this place to myself. So in all fairness: That stay in the cabin was the best money I've ever spent on something I could not keep. I could go on and on about the cabin, but others have done that. I will say this though: The pictures on the site doesn't give it the justice it deserves. Ain't nothing like the real thing, baby.
What a great get-away!! Penny is fabulous! The cabin is awesome! We will be coming back!
Very nice and quaint cabin on the river. Has all the amenities one would need. And the screened in porch was amazing for taking in the views of the river and wildlife. Would definitely visit again!
Perfectly decorated, well-equipped, very clean little cabin in the middle of a quiet, serene woods on a ridge overlooking magnificent Elk River. Easy to get to, but very private. A few short miles from quaint downtown Fayetteville with it's lovely antique shops and history. Absolutely loved the screened in porch and sat out every morning and evening just to listen to nature, read my devotional, and watch for wildlife and lightening bugs. Would love to make up another excuse to visit the area just so I can stay there again!
Friendships can sustain both distance & time but must be nourished to flourish. This truly stunning cabin on the river gave ours sunshine, gentle rains and plenty of space to grow. Many miles between Texas and Michigan separate us, but we regularly get together to laugh, share our ups and downs and tend our friendship. This time, we met up in TN. The cabin was perfect-we had the opportunity to cook in the fabulously outfitted kitchen and share meals together, sit on the screened porch in the cool of the evening and bring each other up to date on our life stories and rest well on some amazingly comfy beds. We explored the river, the grounds around the cabin, Fayetteville and beyond, including a quick daytrip to Huntsville for TopGolf and a visit to Burritt on the Mountain. We went antiquing at some great shops around the Fayetteville square and had a famous slawburger at Honey's. We played horseshoes at the cabin and streamed our favorite movie one night. We relaxed in the tranquility. We watched the Elk river pass by below from the limestone bluff, listened to the breeze in the trees above and enjoyed the sweet sounds of birdsong all day long. We read, slept in (or napped) if we wanted, and had an absolutely wonderful time! Our hosts could not have been nicer! They pay attention to details and got it oh so right with this comfy, cozy cabin.
If I could - would rate the property & owners, Susan & Douglas a perfect 10! Absolutely refreshing area to soothe mind, body and soul. My adults kids and I spent a week here and enjoyed our entire stay. Though, it was early spring - you can see the trees budding and flowers blossoming. Had rain during the week but sitting on the front porch and listening to the sounds of the rain, the songs of mother nature; watching deer grazing, rabbits hopping, bird singing their songs. Gosh - nothing beats that! :-) . Will definitely make reservation @ this cabin again. Can't wait to see the owner's again...Super folks!
