Secluded log cabin in Manistee Nat'l Forest with access to Lake Michigan beach.

If it is your first time in this location; highly suggest you do NOT try to locate cabins in the dark. We were forced to go back into town and stay in a hotel and return the next morning; then we located the cabin, which ended in a fantastic stay.

It was very private and relaxing with things to do near by. The cabin was very clean, well taken care of and will equipped. We had a great time and will return.

Owners were nice and thoughtful.Thought the lake access and view was in the rental backyard so was surprised.A rug (or something) was very musty and we had to keep the windows open.Bed has a big slope in middle.The peaceful beach access was lovely. As were the sunsets.

This place sounded good from what I read! But man it passed my expectations! I like forests! There’s something calming about them. And when we pulled up I was captivated. Forest all around and beach access across the street. There are neighbors but still secluded and quiet. The cabin was very clean, warm and inviting. Plenty of closet space and places to sit and relax. We didn’t make it down the stairs to beach but it sure was beautiful. We watched sunsets from the top of the bluff 2 nights in row and it was perfect.. Our hosts were very nice and gave us all the information that we needed for our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer

My best friend of 44 years and I pick a new location near the water every year for our annual weekend. The Little Bear cabin proved to be clean, comfortable, and beautifully situated in the woods near Lake Michigan. The hiking trails in the area were nearby and offered easy access to water. The hosts reached out early with very detailed information that made travel and access to the cabin a breeze. The binder they provide is full of information regarding the area and helped us locate the best hiking trails for us and the dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found ourselves relaxing and enjoying the scenery and wildlife.

Very peaceful and quiet location. The lake is absolutely beautiful. We had a great time.

The Little Bear Cabin in Manistee is a wonderful vacation destination! My sister and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the cabin! We enjoyed the patio with a fire in the fire pit and the secluded area by the forest! Would most definitely want to reserve this cabin again!!

Very nice clean secluded cabin. A short walk to Lake Michigan to enjoy the beach ! If you don’t want to climb the stairs from the beach you can sit up top and enjoy the view. You can have a campfire at the cabin in your private back yard surrounded by beautiful pine trees. A Perfect place to stay !

Had a wonderful time at the cabin. The cabin was as described as was the beach. The kids, myself, my wife, and our dog all enjoyed our time. From swimming to playing fetch to just relaxing with coffee on the porch.

Great place to stay. Love getting back to Michigan. It's been 14 years since we last visited. First time staying in a cabin. It was amazing.

We stayed a week. It is very clean and cozy. Close enough to town to head in to shop/eat, yet far enough for peace and quiet.

Located in the vicinity of the Manistee National Forest yet still only about 10 minutes to the nearby city of Manistee. Wonderful place to visit. Take in a movie at restores historic Vogue movie theater, shop the unique stores and enjoy delicious food and local libations. In addition to the private access beach at the Little & Big Bear cabins, there are a number of amazing public beaches in close proximity. The owners/hosts of this property, Kent and Pam, have arranged for all the basics and then some. Can’t wait to return.

Cozy cabin across the street from the lake, easy access to Lake Michigan. Dirt road in, so your vehicle will not stay clean.

Loved our stay! Perfect clean, cozy and private retreat. Loved having the entire beach to ourselves! Best view for sunsets as well!

The cabin was wonderful! All the immenities were above and beyond. We love the privacy and do much to do we could have stayed there ready g, playing games, or cards. We made great use of the fire pit. We fished and froze, lol then spent time by the fire. Hosts were awesome and very responsive. We will definitely think about coming again

We had planned to find a place to just relax and read a book for a couple days, but were enticed to check out some local spots that ended up leading us to other sites we wanted to see. Our laid back mini vacation turned into a fun site seeing few days. October allowed us to see both the salmon/trout making their way upstream at the Little Manistee Weir and the fabulous color changes traveling up Lakeshore Road. Each roadside park we stopped at had a beautiful view. The cabin was spotless, cozy yet had a lot of space. Also, the water in the cabin tasted good. We are so used to hauling our bottled water to our vacation rentals due to odd tasting well water, this was a pleasant surprise. Beds were comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. Took our dog for walks down the road every morning and to local dog friendly beaches. All three of us had a surprisingly active and wonderful stay. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us!!

Kent and Pam have a wonderful cabin hidden in the woods. It is close to both Manistee and Luddington. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and the firepit was perfect for fall evenings. We had a great time playing with our dog in the pine forest behind the house. The lakefront area across the street was wonderful. Amazing sunset views and access to the beach. Kent was very attentive to our needs while still ensuring our privacy.

The cabin was so charming and cozy, with an amazing Lake Michigan view. It was very clean and well stocked. Our host was very friendly and accomodating.

This is one of the nicest cabins my husband and I have ever stayed in. It's clean, cozy, well stocked, and a short walk from absolutely stunning views of Lake Michigan. Even with the secluded setting, there was still plenty to do nearby. Beaches, dunes, trails, and grocery stores were easily accessible. We would love to stay here again!

The cabin is perfect-sized for a family or group who want an escape up north. It was great, would absolutely stay there again!

Pam and Kent's cabin was a blessing, very secluded area amongst the forest with a very cool and private space to watch Lake Michigan, unfortunately it was a bit too cold when we went but it was AMAZING watching the sunset.

Great property. Very spacious, plenty of inside space, covered front deck. Short walk to the lake, 100 steps down to the lake but worth it!
