Stayed Aug 17, 2025This home, with its bounty of Lake Michigan views , is a delight. A highlight was the generous porch with room for a dining set and several conversation sets too and the four of us spent lots of time there, enjoying the ever changing views of Lake Michigan. The home is pristine, and we appreciated the open floor plan and the quality of the appliances . One of our daughters was working remotely , so having the lower floor was a plus. We explored Nordhouse Dunes, the Acadia marsh boardwalk Legacy Art Trail and the charming downtown Manistee area, all within an hour's drive. The nearby Magoon Creek Nature Reserve, just a few minutes from the house has a pleasant trail and a beach perfect for sun bathing and finding the perfect rocks for skipping. We had such a nice time here and highly recommend it.

Stayed Jul 19, 2025Grandparents, Kids and grandkids had a wonderful stay. Plenty of towels, nice sleeping accommodations, well supplied kitchen, great porch, all contributed to making this a memorable week for our family. All though this 85-year-old didn't go to the beach (104 steps down and back) the younger ones went at least daily. The view of Lake Michigan from the platform at the top and porch were the biggest hit for me. Highly recommended. Thanks.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025We are two families who have been traveling together to MI over the summer for the last 20 years and this house was our favorite! The views and the sound of the lake from the porch and house can not be matched. The cottage was clean and provided so many items, spices, laundry detergent, beach chairs etc. We loved having the beach just down the stairs (be mindful of the erosion control posts in the water along the beach shoreline) We also appreciated having Magoon Creek and Sundling Park beach, just down the road. It was as if we had our own secret paradise. The town of Manistee, with its quaint shops, restaurants and relaxing river walk provided excellent alternative activities a short drive up the coast. One of our favorite activities was spending a day kayaking the beautiful Little Manistee river. The 6 mile to Old Stronach Bridge run we booked through Rick owner of Manistee Adventure was stunning and will be a cherished family outing. Would also highly recommend Big Al's in Manistee. Their motorhead pizza can not be missed if you're a fan of Detroit style pizza. Bottom line, the owners have provided a fantastic getaway. We loved our stay here. Getting to wake everyday to the beauty and sounds of the lake and surrounding nature renews the soul. We hope to be back.N and K

Stayed May 25, 2025We had a wonderful family vacation in Manistee, MI. The home was perfect. It had everything we needed. Our daughter, son-in-law and three grandsons (ages 8, 4 and 2) were with us and we all absolutely loved the beach. The boys played in the sand and we adults loved looking for sea glass. The weather was a little cool, but that didn't bother us. We built a fire in the firepit almost every night and watched the beautiful sunsets. There was a lot to do nearby. We went to town, riverwalk, toured the S.S. City of Milwaukee ship, visited the North Pier Lighthouse, beach and playground, Magoon Creek Natural Area, Little River Casino, Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We loved all of it, but we especially loved hanging around and relaxing at the house and it's beach.Thank you for use of your wonderful home and beach!
