Stayed Aug 10, 2022The Shirk family was so easy to deal with. Available by phone whenever needed and extremely helpful and friendly. The cabin far exceeded our expectations. It was like going to Grandma's house for a sleep over. Everything we needed (and more) was available. All the comforts of home hidden deep in the woods. That is, if your all does not include paved roads, phone and internet. And OUR all certainly does NOT include them. The best place in the world to un-plug and un-wind. (Just as the owner advised - the internet and cell phone service was a short drive away - at the top of the mountain.). Private, secluded, clean, well-appointed, wonderful, reasonably priced and over all; PERFECT.!!!

Stayed Jul 22, 2022The owner was wonderful. There is no signal there at all, so be prepared. That’s not a bad thing! Lots to do in the area. The outside deck and front porch needs some TLC. But it is in the woods.

Stayed May 4, 2022If you are looking for a relaxing place with no WiFi, cell phone service, or television this is the place to go. If you are looking for something else, this is not the place. Google will not get you to this property and you are given really bad directions from the property owners. For the love of God don't try and find it in the dark! The house was clean but has a really bad musty smell. When you arrive you will need to turn on the water heater and figure out how to turn on the heat. The house was freezing and nobody was able to shower until the next morning. When you are finally ready for bed you will have to find the linens because none of the beds are made. All in all the property was ok, but could be so much better.
