Scenic Mount Sopris View: Historic Alpine Cabin!

Loved the location, outside the town but close enough if you needed to shop or get something to eat. Home was perfect, big area to get together and talk at the end of the day. Everything was in great working order!

The cabin was rustic, and we were prepared for that. It was exactly the vibe that we were seeking as a family. The house itself was quite functional for us and the location was amazing. our primary complaint was that we were not sent arrival instructions, and therefore did not have the door code. This was remedied by discovering at the back door was unlocked. The host was quite apologetic when we finally made contact – and otherwise our stay was wonderful!

We loved it! The views the peace and quiet. Yet, it was not that far away from everything! The space was wonderful. My whole family absolutely loved Glenwood Springs.

Rustic cabin was just what we were looking for. We spent lots of time outdoors enjoying the views and peace and quiet. They had all the amenities that we needed. Great way to relax and rejuvenate.

We had an excellent time at this cottage! The location was beautiful and the home had enough space for us to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was a bit lacking as far as dishware and cookware goes, especially with a full house, but that wasn’t a huge issue. The view was gorgeous and the lack of AC wasn’t an issue at all even mid-July as it cools off plenty at night. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Wanted something outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough for modern conveniences. This cabin was perfect! Amazing views and wonderful hosts.

The house, area, yard were all GREAT! I had sent a message, as soon as I booked the house, asking for an early check in due to us taking a red eye into Denver. I knew we would be bushed from our East coast to CO red eye. I figured because we scheduled so early this was why I wasn’t hearing back. The week before I sent another message. It was also not answered. So we found other things to do and weren’t upset about not being able to go to the house early. While there the house was GREAT! It had everything we wanted including Moose wandering through the yard. I needed to bake for the wedding and the kitchen was amply supplied with what I needed. I would absolutely recommend visiting this house.

The property was exactly as described in the listing, and the views were tremendous! Best of all, though, the responsiveness of the owner was outstanding! Any questions we had were answered very quickly and completely! Highly recommended!!

Just what we all needed for a relaxing fall break. The house was perfect for the 5 of us! Everything was clean and comfy. Love that the location is private but close to town. Highly recommend!

We came to the Roaring Forks for a family wedding. I made, froze and then brought cookie dough from home to bake in CO for the wedding dessert table. All of the baking needs were available, the house had ample work space and provided excellent views during down time. The one mishap we had was a critter, maybe mouse, ate through a ziploc bag to eat my daughter’s airplane snack bag and the bag of powdered sugar left on the kitchen counter. Overall we loved this spot. Had a moose family visit on our last morning staying. We would come again.

The location of the property tucked in the side of the Colorado mountains was awesome. The view and wildlife were amazing to see. We saw and heard several elk, mule deer and little critters during our stay.

Overall we enjoyed out stay. We traveled in the heat of the Summer and while fans were provided the upstairs did get quite hot, Usually would not be a big issue but we had an infant that naps during the day and this did present a problem. The host did go out of her way to bring us extra fans but it would be nice to have some window AC Units in this upstairs bedrooms as it was hard to manage the very hot during the day to quit nice and cool at night closing and opening windows for kids rooms. The property was great with swings the play on and lots of rooms to explore for kiddos, beautiful view and privacy.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The scenery alone was unmatched! The house was clean, tidy, and cozy as well! Definitely will be booking again!

It was a rainy weekend when we stayed (pretty rare for Glenwood), so some of the time we couldn't enjoy the views. It's a nice rustic cabin in terms of the location. Some of the seams are showing a bit (sticky doors, creaky floors). If that stuff is not a bother to you, great place to stay and probably great stargazing.

Great place to get away and feel like its just you and the mountains.
