ROMANTIC LOG CABIN ~ Quiet, Clean, Cozy ~Walk to Trails, 3 Min to Town!

. The cabin was just as advertised. It was in a very quiet setting, very clean, had all the amenities you could possibly need. Would definitely come back again.

This was my first trip to Idyllwild and I took my mother who came in from Denver for Mother's Day. We absolutely loved the log cabin which was spacious and so well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Larry was very nice and accommodating and reached out a couple of times to check on us. We loved the location with the ambiance of being out in the woods with the peacefulness and serenity of nature all around us. We walked up to the swing and down to the stream and my mother, 83 yrs old, said it reminded her of her childhood. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, my husband came down sick and was not able to share this amazing experience with us.

Beautiful property in a great location

The cabin was so clean. Every utensil you would need was available in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The host was great at communicating with us for anything that we needed. It was a girls get away trip. We definitely be returning and stay more than 2 nights next visit. We couldn’t think of anything that was missing. There were games, books etc.

Our host was very welcoming and responsive. The place was well appointed and very clean. We appreciated the clear instructions on how to use the wood burning fireplace plus all the necessary supplies. Close enough to town for shopping and dining but far enough out to feel secluded.

Larry (our host) represents his place perfectly. And it lives up to how it is represented and then some. We were very happy with the outdoors and many of his suggestions. Do yourself a favor, take your short drive to get out of the city you love in and visit Idyllwild. And

The cabin was in excellent condition. Very clean and all the amenities seem to be relatively new. The host Larry was very attentive and cordial.

Beautiful mountain cottage. Large outdoor deck with beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. Close to town and hiking trails. Would highly recommend.

Our family of 4 loved this cabin! It’s close to town but also very private and relaxing. The cabin is very cozy and clean. Our kids loved the books and games and it had everything we needed.

So beautiful, relaxing! Location was perfect. Nestled among trees and boulders, but not too far from hiking and restaurants.

What a wonderful place! My best friend and I had a girls' weekend away and we could not have been more pleased with this lovely cabin. It's cozy, comfortable and very well appointed. We did not lack for anything.Larry is a considerate and thoughtful host. Special shout out for the new sponge in the kitchen! My always pet peeve is a sponge that you don't know where it's been. I usually bring my own, but forgot it this time. What a great surprise to find that! I would add another star just for the new sponge.You will love this place-a perfect 10!

Very nice place in a quiet location. Comfortable, with nice grounds and several nice decks on which to relax and enjoy the views of the pine trees.

Wonderful time in a lovely home and setting.

This is a great spot for nature lovers. I enjoyed watching deer in the morning and watching the squirrels, chipmunks, and birds from the deck. It’s a beautiful place to recharge and enjoy the slower pace of Idyllwild. The property feels very private but it’s also close to everything.

We loved our stay in this comfy home with all amenities. The host was welcoming, communicative, and provided helpful instructions. Everything was great!

We loved the secluded feeling of the location of the cabin. It was a short few minute drive to restaurants and hiking trails. The spacious deck was a nice relaxing bonus. The cabin had an updated kitchen and everything we needed. The only negative was the inefficiency and noise of the wall heater downstairs on two chilly days. The upstairs was always much warmer even when no heaters were on anywhere. The bathroom heater was also nice to have. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. This lovely, warm, and welcoming cabin was everything we hoped for. The beautiful outdoor deck quickly became our favorite spot—perfect for greeting the morning, sharing quiet moments, enjoying meaningful conversations, and grilling some great BBQ.From the deck, we also enjoyed watching squirrels, chipmunks, and birds frolic around. The birds gathered at a well-stocked feeder, while the squirrels kept us entertained with their playful energy. It was peaceful, charming, and added so much to the experience.The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication from the owners was excellent, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful care they extended to us as welcomed guests.We highly recommend this special place and are already looking forward to returning!

Our stay at Boulder Creek Cottage was lovely! Such a cozy peaceful setting nestled within trees with a babbling stream out back. The cottage was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Larry the owner was very responsive if we had questions, Thank you for a very beautiful place to stay in Idyllwild!

Had a wonderful time. The cabin was great, and the outside deck was beautiful. We enjoyed our time and wish we could have stayed longer. The nearby hiking was the best I’ve seen since North Carolina. Would love to come back again.

This property is a great location. Wonderful place to relax and apend time with nature. Property owner is super helpful and the property itself was stocked with everything that we needed and the owner was super helpful even giving us a warning of potential surprise snow the day we left.

We can’t express how much we enjoyed our stay at Boulder Creek! We had our annualMarch Madness getaway and it exceeded our expectations. The beautiful cabin was so comfortable and cozy. The wildlife of birds, chipmunks, and squirrels that entertained us was heartwarming. The swing and deck provided perfect places to relax! It also felt very private. A very special place. We will definitely be back!

This property was well stocked with kitchen items. Clean with views of squirrels, humming birds, and woodpeckers. Very comfortable.

Perfect in every way for 2 couples. Larry is the best host as well. Lots of wildlife right outside the window. One of my favorites was watching the hummingbird coming to the hummingbird feeder right outside the window as I sat on the living room couch. We will be back for sure!

The cabin is great all around. This was our third stay. It's consistently beautiful and Larry is always accommodating and quick to respond.

This place is amazing, Larry and Anne are absolutely amazing hosts, check in is easy and everything was kept clean and beautiful. The cabin is amazing and dreamy I was I could stay more longer but next time!

Great property, great host, quiet neighborhood but close to town.

Loved our time here. The perfect cozy get away for the weekend. Loved getting a warm fire going and spending the evening in playing board games with the family. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Amazing location & great communication from host.

Exactly what I was hoping for, and even better in several ways. House is welcoming, spacious for our family of 4, and cozy. Quiet at the end of a cul de sac backing the forest. Terrace is very pleasant with plenty of birds, squirrels and chipmunks visiting. Owner is very responsive. An adventure pass is provided (required to park at trailheads). All appliances work well, there are plenty of pots, pans and utensils for cooking, as well as coffee and filters. We loved the fireplace (high quality firewood is provided), reclining armchairs, heated blankets, board games, and all the nice touches around the house. That was our first time in Idyllwild and we'd probably try to rent the same place if we return!

Cozy, clean, and well equipped cabin; close to town but feels tucked away. Beautiful deck and garden swing where we spotted birds, squirrels & deer. The host could not have been nicer, and even helped advise & locate local vehicle assistance when our car battery died unexpectedly.

This was our first time to Idlewild. We came up from Orange County and were pleasantly surprised with the cute mountain town Of Idyllwild. the Boulder Creek cottage is so storybook like. It is quaint & cozy. It was everything that I had hoped for. We spent the weekend hiking, playing cards by the fire & completing a puzzle. it’s a wonderful place to stay

Very nice, clean indoor and outdoor spaces. Updated kitchen and bathrooms. We arrived on a cool evening and it took us a bit to warm up with the wall heaters, but soon had the cabin cozy. Had a fun family get together on the large deck.

We found everything we needed for our 3-night stay in this cozy cottage. The large deck was perfect for relaxing and reading in the sun or shade, constantly serenaded by busy squirrels and birds foraging nearby. It's only a short drive to downtown Idyllwild, where we found a nice restaurant for breakfast (The Red Kettle).

This is our second time staying here and it was just as good as we remembered. It’s close to town but very quiet and peaceful. We loved watching all the birds on the deck and sitting on the swing over looking the trees in the back. Larry is a great host!

The cabin is very comfortable with all that you need for a stress free getaway. The master bed is too soft for our liking. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant for early fall.

This house is aptly named - sitting between huge boulders and filled with the sounds of birds and critters. Perfect location. Quiet and peaceful and 5 min to town. We loved our stay!!

Cabin was located at the end of a cul-de-sac so you couldn’t see any neighbors. The cabin was just as described and very well stocked. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and loved exploring the surrounding area.

We loved the cabin and Idyllwild! It was our first trip to the area and we picked it to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and quickly felt like home. We enjoyed exploring the area around the cabin. The views from the neighborhood were simply amazing. Our host was communicative and made sure we settled in alright, but was never intrusive. We definitely hope to return.
