Stayed Jan 1, 1It has everything my wife and I need. Great area for days out dog walking then in my small fishing boat, which I take with me for a few hours fishing. We have seen otters next to the boat, Kingfishers zipping here and there. The odd seal and loads more wildlife from the boat. It’s not the first time we’ve been and hopefully will be going back soon.

Stayed Jan 1, 1A fantastic Lodge in a great and quiet location, super views. Plenty of space, big TV screen, warm and cosy, virtually everything you could think of needing or using they supply. Bedroom and bathrooms well appointed, could not fault a thing - Well done Norfolk Holiday Lodges! - Thanks for a great holiday.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Another great stay at this lovely site. Tina excelled as always, with treats for the dogs and friendly welcome. Weather dry, fish caught (so men happy). We will return.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We have just spent five days at River Rest and it was simply perfect. Really felt like home from home inside the lodge with everything you could want provided. Sitting watching the boats and bird life floating right past your window was just so peaceful, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and would love to come back ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble for Tina who was there to welcome us.

Stayed Jan 1, 1I had three weeks in River Rest. For some of the time I was working as a software engineer at the dining table - it was splendid to look over the laptop at the river and basin - with passing boats and even a young kingfisher. Throughout my stay I had three boats on Rest's moorings - two River Cruise yachts and a dory. It was a good safe mooring with easy access to the main river. I can see that the basin which houses the four main lodges would be a fantastic, safe, place for families to fool around with paddle boards and perhaps a dinghy. The accommodation is clean fresh and modern.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We loved our week here. I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere as tranquil. Sitting on the deck watching the river, the boats and the wildlife was very relaxing. We saw Heron, kingfishers, swans and a variety of waterfowl. We ate good pub grub at the White Heron and had a very good takeaway from The Bay leaf Indian restaurant. There is a very good cafe on the marina for bacon baps and fresh bread and pastries and the train into Norwich takes 10 minutes. A really good spot from which to explore the Broads and parts of the lovely Norfolk coast.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We re booked this lodge for a 2nd year due to its quiet location. Once again on arrival we found the lodge to be clean and ready for us, Tina the manager turned up to check the electric was on due to a previous outage, all good. If you want peace and quiet and a spot of fishing I can suggest Norfolk Holiday Lodges.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The lodge was spotlessly clean, and everything you would need for a stay, it felt like home away from home. The doggy basket was a real hit with our Max who was on his first holiday. We enjoyed sitting outside the lodge watching the swans and exploring Norfolk. A really lovely stay! Not a lot of luck fishing for my dad but hasn’t put us off staying again.

Stayed Jan 1, 1This was our 3rd stay at River Rest and yet again we were not disappointed. The lodge was super clean. It was so relaxing sitting on the veranda watching the boats go by. It is so peaceful that you immediately go into a relaxation mode. The fishing was good catching plenty of mullet, bream, perch & roach. Tina, the Lodge Manager was super helpful yet again, and goes over & beyond to assist her customers. We have already booked and are looking forward to our 4th stay next year. Many thanks for everything.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We cannot fault the lodge at all. Super clean, large and spacious and with a view out to the river from the balcony doors that makes you relax straightaway. We couldn't believe that there is everything you need here. We would definitely come back again.

Stayed Jan 1, 1I stopped for a week with my partner and elderly parents. What a beautiful, peaceful place, I’d highly recommend it. The lodge offered all the comforts of home, we wanted for nothing and Tina (host) was only a call away to answer any queries. She was bubbly, approachable and very attentive. Brundall is a central location which gave us easy access to travel to Wroxham for a cruise down a broad. Great Yarmouth for a beach, Norwich, Ely, Cambridge for a punt down the river and we even saw seals in their own habitat at Horsey Gap. Brilliant holiday and something for everyone.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only downside was that the sofas were very low which made it difficult for us oldier and less mobile people to get up from.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969River Rest is a perfect lodge to stay at for a relaxing break. The lodge is perfectly equipped and very clean. This was our second stay and we have booked for next year. The fishing is also an added plus for anglers. There is nothing negative to say about this property as you return from your break feeling so relaxed. We also take our dog with us and she loves it. A special mention to Tina, who cannot do enough for all her customers. Looking forward to our return next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I booked river rest because of its location near water being a keen angler myself, the cottage/lodge looks idyllic in the pictures and did not disappoint when we arrived. My wife and I needed a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle and were not at all disappointed. All in all a lovely time, and re booked for next year by the way.

Stayed May 13, 2024Lovely setting, very quiet although no one else was staying in the other 3 lodges when we stayed. Loved watching the boats going past whilst sat on the veranda. Frequently visited by ducks and a heron. Village had everything you needed and the bakery at the marina was great for coffee and pastries. Lodge clean and today with everything you needed for stay.
