One bed had wet pillow cases and the pull out couch was a little rough to sleep on. Very well stocked kitchen and bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at Trout Creek Cabin. It is located in a very small, quiet, tree lined community about 20 minutes outside of the town of Payson. We appreciated the location because it's just far enough outside of town to boast that getaway feel.We really appreciated the many super cute wood carved bears & beavers, as well as all the cabin signs & decorations both inside & out. You definitely experience a cabin vibe.We didn't need for anything, they had it all & then some. Plus, it was clean! They provide a nice propane BBQ, outdoor couch with cute pillows, fire pit, chairs & string lights for ambiance. Inside you'll find plenty of games, 2 televisions with service, a nice couch with slide-out feet rests, a comfy chair & automan, plenty of games, a wood stove with wood, a nice binder with local & pertinent information, a fully stocked kitchen (you provide the food), closets, linens, blankets, pillows, towels, soaps, a washer, a dryer with soap pods w/ wool dryer balls & even a first aide kit. Basically you'll find almost everything you might need. The cabin was quite enjoyable! We definitely recommend!The only thing we would say is watch out for spiders both inside & outside in the yard. It is a cabin in the mountains, so we weren't upset or surprised, but there were a few & couple of them were a bit bigger.

Loved the stay. Just make sure you download and read the instructions sent by the owners regarding checking in the cabin. You don’t want to drive back into town for WiFi :)

Such a lovely clean property. This was our second time staying at this property. We love that it is fenced in for our 4 legged family members.

A perfect little cabin with all the amenities you could find at a hotel with all the space you need to stretch out and relax! It was the perfect setup for a little getaway from the desert for me and my dog! Enjoy some coffee on the front porch with the hummingbirds or s’mores in the backyard with the stars! Had an issue with a fan once I arrived, and the host instantly helped me resolve it! The neighbors were doing some construction, but they only did it mid-day for about an hour and were very respectful. Adored my time here for some RNR!

This was our third time at this wonderful property. Our dog absolutely loves spending time walking around the fenced in property.The cabin is clean has everything needed to have an awesome stay. We will continue to rent this property, thank you for allowing us to relax and enjoy our time there.

This cabin was perfect for a little weekend getaway. It was more than enough room for my husband and me (we didn’t even use the upstairs). The kitchen was well-equipped and we ate in. Neighbors were nice and not too close, so we felt like we were in the woods, not a neighborhood. The community is quiet and well-kept. It was nice to walk down to the river. One day we drove to Water Wheel Falls and did part of the hike. Totally worth the visit! We ended up driving to the cute little town of Pine on the backroads, also worth a visit. We had our small (22lbs) dog with us and it was great that the yard was completely fenced in for her. TV and internet worked great and there are plenty of ways to heat the place if you’re cold. I’d highly recommend!

This cabin was perfectly sized, perfectly located, and perfectly clean and comfortable. I loved being so close to the river, and the dogs enjoyed their daily walks and dips in the water. We will definitely book again in the future!

Once again, an amazing trip and stay with our dogs. This place has never let us down and this is around our 5th time staying here. Clean, no issues, anything and everything you need for a cabin stay and some winding down from the busy city life. Booking again for the Summer to get out the Phoenix heat!

We had a great stay at Trout Creek Cabin! Our dog loved the completely fenced in yard. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. This was a great place to unplug and relax for the weekend. We will definitely be back in the summer months.

We have stayed at this cabin multiple times and it is always lovely! The inside is very cozy and well-appointed, and the outside space is wonderful - great deck, comfortable seating, all fenced in so our dog could enjoy herself. As with every stay here, everything was super clean and orderly and communication with the owners easy. Highly recommend!

Cabin and amenities were excellent. Clean beautiful. Yard and surrounding area was great for our family and dogs. Perfect getaway.

Everything was clean, organized, and stocked, even with a few surprise extras (like coffee/creamer/hot chocolate). It helped make the stay enjoyable, relaxing and low stress. The porch was beautiful to relax on and enjoy great conversation and the fenced yard was great for our dog. Great experience and would visit again.

Fantastic cabin. I’d have to say it’s one of the best I’ve stayed in. The decor was so incredibly coordinated and just the design of the home was charming. The neighborhood was super friendly and the area was beautiful. Our dog loved the gated yard and at times didn’t want to come in. Highly recommend as I don’t normally fill these out, this one I could not ignore. Communication with the owners was very easy with hardly any delay.

Trout creek cabin is a great stay in the Payson area. We really enjoyed the cabin feel while still being renovated with everything we needed. The kids loved the loft and upstairs play space. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and hanging out in the yard. It is in a great location -- in the middle of the neighborhood but offers plenty of privacy. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had the best time! The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s so cozy and well decorated and comfortable. We especially loved how the porch and backyard were all gated and connected so our pup could roam freely.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful! The hosts were very responsive. It was very peaceful, clean and well kept. The attention to detail in making it warm and cozy was exceptional. Definitely looking forward to going back!

If we could give this place 10 stars, we absolutely would! Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped — you can tell the owners have put real care into making guests feel at home. The cabin’s décor was cute and cozy, giving it such a warm, inviting atmosphere.It was perfect for our dogs, too. We were a little nervous about bringing them at first, but we quickly felt completely comfortable. The area was quiet and peaceful, and we loved walking to both sides of the creek every day. The scenery behind the tennis court is simply picturesque — the kind of spot that makes you stop and take it all in.Our son had an amazing time as well, especially making s’mores over the fire pit in the evenings. It was such a special way to end each day.I really enjoyed the serenity. It was everything we hoped for and more — truly the ideal getaway for our whole family.

They should call this place the Hobby Lobby Comfort Cabin. It's very cozy and quaint. The decor is very woodsy and like you stepped into the outdoor section at Hobby Lobby. I love it. It's had just the perfect size and amenities for a family of five to start for a few. It has a neat wrap around deck that you can sit on and just take in the outdoor tranquility. Friendly neighbors that welcome you. Plenty of accessories if you want to play games. A fire pit to start gaze by. This was such a wonderful retreat. Thank you.

This place is so lovely. We were so relaxed. We did not want to leave. We also brought our pets and the fenced in yard let them explore without the leads. We loved the decoration, and all the special touches.

We had another wonderful time at the Trout Cabin. We brought our dogs with us and they also enjoyed it! The place is very well kept up and taken care of. We love the location—about 15 minutes from Payson. The neighborhood is really cute and great for a morning walk! Highly recommend!

Even better than last time. Sorry about leaving the potatoes in the microwave. I highly recommend heading to Washington Park for a hike. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place , has everything you need and quiet too but close enough to all the places to visit

Trout Creek Cabin” is just north of Payson in the Beaver Valley area along the East Verde River. This is a beautiful 3/1 cabin that can sleep 6, has a covered porch, BBQ, fire pits, bird feeders, and a huge securely fenced yard for a dog. We were up with the sun at 5am each day to beat the heat in the afternoon. We photographed the Osprey at Green Valley Park in the morning and got great action photos of the birds of prey in flight. We stopped at Willow Springs Lake for birding and wading in the cool lake. It was not crowded at all. We stopped at a viewpoint called Military Sinkhole which had awesome views from the rim. We drove back down Hwy 260 to Woods Canyon Lake which is more developed with many camping sites, a store & boat rentals. It had many people fishing along the banks there.We explored some hiking trails within a couple of miles from our cabin along Houston Mesa Road. The road follows the East Verde River About 1/2 a mile from our cabin was a day use area called First Crossing. We walked upstream a short distance along an easy path filled with greenery. My partner is a birder and enjoyed doing that in this area. Water Wheel Falls trail was my favorite place. The trail to the top was moderately challenging since it required some bouldering and crossing over slick rocks to get to the falls. Third Crossing Day Area was very nice area along the river with lots of flat, grassy land to run on for kids & dogs.

4 generation annual mini-vacay. 74, 52, 21, 10 yr old and everyone enjoyed it! Very nice size, well maintained and furnished cabin, (easy on G-Ma) Short walk to creek, tranquil and peaceful, excellent for the younger guys to fish) The few people we did see were friendly. Were able to watch animals, squirrels, various birds, (entertaining and relaxing for the school teacher) Mostly stayed outside all day, walking, fishing, playing family games, good for everyone) Would definitely recommend this rental-only regret is that we didn't have more time!!

Fantastic stay

I have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years all over the US and this one was amazing. I came in to Phoenix for the first time to visit a close friend who lives locally and she’s already talked about wanting to come back with her family. You can tell the owners care about their guest and really have taken the time to think about what might be helpful for their guests.

This is the second time I have stayed here in the past two years. It was just as wonderful this time as it was last time. The location is perfect, the local area is excellent, and the cabin/home is a place that anyone would enjoy. The property owners/managers are readily available if needed and quick to respond to the needs of the clients. I cannot think of any way it could be better. My adult daughter agrees. We go for the fly fishing, but just hanging out is awesome too. Our two dogs loved it. It is truly a comfortable cabin and great for weekends or week long getaways.

And ive been to a lot. From luxury to very rustic. This one felt extra homey, clean, and cozy. It has everything you need. We very much enjoyed the finishing at the nearby river. We honestly wish we couldve had stayed longer. Until next time? Thank you again!

Very nice very clean very quaint

Everything was clean and useful. Decorated beautifully and had all amenities you need for a mountain retreat. Pups loved the backyard and playground down the road. Great little community with lovely creek and trails.

I absolutely loved this property. The cabin was so well laid out and set up with all amenities that I needed. I went for hiking and vacation just myself and my dogs.It was very cozy and the porch was very comfortable as well. I spent a lot of time Outdoors on the property and in the neighborhood. The short walk past the Verde River to the local park was great. Many people were there with their children and dogs playing at that park. The location is far enough away to feel remote but close enough to town that anything you need is 15 minutes away. I did not want to leave and I look forward to the opportunity to go stay again.

We received very detailed instructions and directions to the property. This was crucial, as the cabin is in a great location but not super easy to find without these directions. The property was very clean, with everything included exactly as it appeared in the listing. Quiet and cool evenings in late March. Exactly what we wanted, away from town, traffic, etc. Thank you!!!

Cabin and location was beautiful! The only suggestion I have is outside furniture could have been cleaner. I suggest having a cover for your sectional! It was very dusty and didn't use! It was awesome overall.

This was our second time staying and we fell in love with this cabin again. It’s the perfect spot to build a fire and relax. We found an incredible spot for dinner named Duza’s. I have no idea how a place like this needed up in Payson, but it is outstanding. The yard at the cabin is perfect for our pups. We just love this for a quick getaway from the valley. We did some great hiking just down the road too. Thank you for having us again. We love this cabin!

Had a nice weekend getaway! They had everything you would ever need to enjoy the outdoors and we absolutely loved the cabin. Definitely want to go back!

We enjoyed our stay place is cozy we enjoyed being able to play tennis and basketball near by and walk by creek. This was our first time traveling with our small dogs they loved the out door area. It was gated good for my small dogs.

Very clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Only wish we would have had more wood to burn. Only had one night’s worth and had to go buy wood for remainder of week. Would stay again!

The cabin was very beautiful. We pulled into the drive and saw a gas fire pit, comfy chairs, and best of all a giant connect four game for my two year old granddaughter. Her joy continued as she discovered the secret play room upstairs. It was wonderful. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other a queen. The cabin was excellent and we took walks to the creek. Beautiful scenery. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This cabin is well appointed inside with most everything we could need. The check in process was easy enough once I figured out the keypad entry. The patio area of this cabin is especially pleasant - but the other outside areas are getting a bit dated and the furniture is a bit weather worn etc. Also - we had to move the one propane tank from the grill to the firepit as the other two containers were empty. I mentioned during check in I had a few issues initially and when I tried to call both numbers provided by the host - both went to voicemail. Luckily we figured it out. Finally - while the proximity to the river for fishing or even swimming was awesome - it is a bit crowded in the neighborhood and we had many many dogs in the neighborhood on a pretty constant barking spree every time someone walked by - especially if walking their dog. Again - overall we liked the place - and the price was very reasonable - but we like to be honest in our reviews.
