Relax Directly On The Crystal Clear Platte River!

Very relaxing and clean property.

A perfect quiet retreat with all the basics. The Cedar Waxwings, deer and occasional King Fisher were fun to watch along the river. Many attractions within a 20-30 minute radius. I will definitely stay again!

We rented this property for two nights. Our overall experience was very positive. The property was clean and well maintained. We loved the cabin and all the little details that were put into it. The rooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated the deck and the river view. The first night it rained but the second night we took advantage of the fire pit by the river. The sound of the fire crackling and the water running was a relaxing and unique campfire experience. Overall, I would recommend this property, particularly if you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature.

From booking to check-out, this property was absolutely stellar. The hosts were clear about how to check-in and what to do before check-out. I don't think the property listing can capture how charming and peaceful this cabin is. It's set back from the road so that you'd never know it was on a fairly busy highway. The back door is literally steps away from the river so you hear the water flowing all around you. The cabin is set up for maximum comfort and convenience. Important to note that for a cabin, there is fabulous water pressure in the shower LOL. Plenty of seating inside and outside, comfortable beds, room to spread out or gather together. We found it a great base for our wanderings. 20 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, 30 from Glen Arbor, 20 minutes from Frankfort. This is a fantastic starting point for exploring West Michigan.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is darling with very comfy beds. Perfect location for us between the dunes and Glen Arbor. A little magical spot on the river.

As usual, cabin was comfortable and welcoming. River was high and moving very fast due to all the previous rain. Mattresses felt like they were new as was the refrigerator. Great time, see you in the Fall.

Our family was looking for a cozy cottage for a get-together and this rental was just perfect! Just steps away from the Platte River, but also plenty to do and see nearby. Bill and Holly are excellent hosts and communicators. Already looking at our calendars for a possible return trip!

Had an amazing stay! We saw deer walking the icy Platte River every morning. Cabin was cozy with a beautiful snowy backdrop. Also enjoyed Beulah’s Winterfest, sunsets by the frozen Frankfort Pier, and Northern lights at the mouth of Platte River!

Had a wonderful time at this charming cabin on the river. Close to lots of outdoor activities!

Secluded little cabin on peaceful river. We loved how quiet and peaceful this place is. Very long driveway away from road. Perfect space for little get away from city life. Not far from Traverse City & Sleeping Bear Dunes. Would definitely come back!!

Everything was great

The property was great!! Couldn’t ask for a better location to fish without driving anywhere. So peaceful. Hope to make it back and stay there again next year!

Overall was a beautiful cabin especially being right on the river with the spacious deck made it very peaceful!

This was a magical place to stay. The river is so peaceful I enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the water. My kids loved playing in the river. You feel very secluded. I hope to come back in the future to enjoy another week here.

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is brilliant, the location amazing, we loved the river and watching the kingfishers fly every morning from the deck. I would be back in a heartbeat!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very nice cabin right on the Platte River. Location was great close to Lake Michigan beaches, a short drive to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We would stay again if we vacation in that area again.

We have stayed on the Platte for several years, we have never had a bad time. The cabin is always immaculate, the river is soothing, the air is always fresh, best week of the year.

We had Great time chasing Steelhead and watching other fisherman out front. Very relaxing with the river so close meandering by.

We had a great stay at this property. It was as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Excellent location for accessing Crystal Mountain. Would also be a great location for accessing Sleeping Bear, but we didn't make time to do that. Reading lights in all the spots you might want one. The kids loved the spacious loft area. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the location - very peaceful and fun to watch salmon swimming upstream . We even lucked out w northern lights one night ! Can’t wait to return !

Great place to stay for our Fall fishing trip. Although we didn’t fish the river behind the cabin, we could have because there were plenty swimming by on their way upstream. We fished several other rivers in the area and used the cabin as our home base. It was a wonderful trip and we’ll be booking again !
