We ran into an issue and the manager promptly made it right. It was a beautiful spot, and so close to activities.

hot tub was clean. rooms were clean. kitchen was questionable, which was fine. we didn’t need it. living room was clean and the place smelled nice. the driveway is a one way bridge, the hill climbing up to the cabin is not well maintained. 4x4 is optional, but helpful. you will likely bang up your sedan trying to get up the hill. I would definitely book again - but it may not be the best fit for non 4x4 vehicles.

Great cabin with a clean hot tub. Everything in the cabin was clean and the heat worked great once we figured out how to turn it on. The drive up is very steep with sharp turns as described so we were thankful to have an AWD vehicle. Pet friendly area, but just not the most space to walk them around without going into someone else’s property. Great hiking/restaurants/coffee nearby!

Perfect place to spend our anniversary! The location of the cabin was private but close enough to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. The quaint cabin, fireplace and jacuzzi provided the romantic vibe we were hoping for! We will definitely be back!

We were unable to get to the property due to the road being washed out. I am still trying to get our money back from VRBO and the host. It has been two weeks now with no refund.

The very top cabin we had. Was really a clean and quiet place to stay. Just a little traffic noise from Hwy 321 but you can’t see the traffic. My blood pressure lowered 40 psi!!!!! Most definitely need a truck/SUV or Jeep for the incline to and from the cabin. Did not need 4 wheel drive. Just higher axle vehicle to get through the small ruts. The HOT tub captured our heart!!!!!!!! Go and enjoy!!!!

This is a cute getaway site for couples, located very close to Blowing Rock and Boone, and with easy Blue Ridge Parkway access.

Nice and peaceful cabin in the woods. You can hear the birds chirping at night. Lots of rabbits, butterflies, all the wildlife. Wildflowers everywhere. It is within driving distance of food, shopping, jump on the parkway to go hiking. We loved it. Our favorite place to eat was Six pence pub had great food! Highlight recommend.

We booked this cabin online based on the descriptions/pictures of the property on VRBO. It is a very quaint cabin that was really cute and mostly like it was pictured. To be more informative, it is a small community of a series of little cabins off a steep downhill road off Hwy 321. There are several cabins that are directly next to the river, but there are a few other cabins that are not beside the river and instead up a steep incline drive of a perilous gravel road. Unfortunately this was not clearly communicated to us and so our perception of the driveway is that it is ridiculously dangerous with washouts on both sides, divots that scrape the undercarriage of anything that is not an SUV or truck. You NEED to have a 4x4 vehicle for these upper cabins. Not just the casual comment about an AWD vehicle is preferred in winter months. Our convertible struggled each day up and each day down with the incline -- so much so, that we kind of felt like we were only able to come and go once a day to minimize our risk. The cabin is higher up on the property and secluded and nice in its environment. Very private and serene even though you can still faintly hear the traffic of 321 in the distance. The cabin itself was great and not a disappointment. Just the location we felt was unsafe to reach without notice or preparation. To us, it was not an acceptable means of ingress or egress.

The address the host gave us took us to the wrong cabin… fortunately no one else was home. The cabin we rented was at the end of a series of extremely steep climbs… they would have been better executed with a four wheel drive and there wasn’t a recommendation for this. The host let us change to a cabin at the bottom of the hill, but the hot tub was full of debris due to a broken cover and the cabin had lots of dust under the bed which aggravated my husbands allergies. The host had the hot tub cleaned but the water was still cloudy and only two of the four jets somewhat worked. We had really only rented a cabin to enjoy the hot tub so this was extremely disappointing. Hot tubs need to be appropriately maintained; and if a property has a lot of severely steep inclines to reach, then the description should call for a four wheel drive to safely reach the property. And the place really needs a thorough cleaning. Thanks for reading this

Enjoyed the stay. Our only negative was the concern for the road to the highest cabin we were concerned Heavy rain could cause washouts and difficulty in getting down once we got up. As advertised AWD or 4WD is recommended. Overall the cabin and hot tub were great.

Private cabin at the top of a windy, steep driveway surrounded by woods. It was just what the doctor ordered for a weekend getaway. Property was clean and the owner was very responsive to a question we had following check in.

The cabin is awesome. We really enjoyed everything about it. Highly recommended using a four-wheel-drive and staying in cabins four through six. cabins one through three can be reached with normal transportation. The property was clean, our unit was well stocked and cleaned with supplies. Well heated. The fireplace added a nice ambience to the evening.. for a mountain getaway, close to town, this is your stay. There is a river at the bottom, which is nice and a gazebo with fire pit, which is even better highly recommend.

Very easy check-in process and communication with the owner. Clean and well-kept. Perfect for a solo or couple’s getaway for a few days, just a couple miles north of Blowing Rock. The road up to the cabin was steep and had several switchbacks, so best not to arrive after dark. Had a great stay and enjoyed using the hot tub before checkout.

We loved our stay! We loved that the cabin was secluded and away from the main road. The only downside was having to walk to the cabin, but that is not something that could be controlled and was clearly communicated to us. I just was not expecting that steep of a hill. Overall, we loved our stay and definitely will be back! We also really enjoyed the area! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!
