Quail's Nest with Hot tub

The property was well cared for, clean, well furnished and cozy. The kitchen had a combo Keurig pod and pot coffee maker, it was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc. It was in a very quiet and peaceful setting.

Was a great experience, would 10/10 recommend. Devin the property owner was great had some small issues but he had them fixed and ready to go before the next day! We will be back!

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and nice. It was furnished very well and was quite comfy. The kitchen was very nice and had all of the basic items needed for preparing and serving meals. The spa and garden tub made for relaxing evenings as well! The drive into Ft. Payne or Mentone for shopping, dining, and supplies was an easy one. For anyone concerned about hilly, curvy roads, these can be avoided by taking the Hwy 35 to Hwy 89 route out of downtown Ft. Payne, then cut through DeSoto State Park. It’s a much more straightforward route that doesn’t add too much time to the trip. But there are shorter, steeper, curvier routes for the adventurous :) We’ll definitely be making a return trip!

The overall experience was great. No WiFi or phones but made it enjoyable and spent time together. Highly recommended getaway.

The property was great, it felt very secluded, the amenities were great, especially the hot tub and jacuzzi tub, it was very relaxing, the only knock I would have if any is because of how secluded it was there was no phone service so you couldn’t make any phone calls, get on the internet, or use your gps on your phone to find your way around, so it would’ve been nice to have free WiFi at the cabin, but besides that I would highly recommend this cabin.

This cabin is absolutely perfect. It is just enough. It is in the perfect location to everything. My family and I fell in love. It's simple, cozy, decorated perfectly. Check in and check out were so east. The owner gets back to you very quickly. We had an amazing family time. Highly recommended!

A bit of a challenge to find at night, but no big deal. This is a wonderful cabin. Very comfortable, warm and cozy (It was well below freezing both nights), well appointed and the Christmas tree was a very nice touch. Highly recommended and definitely coming back. Worth the drive from Texas.

Very pleased with the overall stay.

We loved the cabin and it was very nice. There were a few things that needed attention and it seemed like just wear and tear from the season. There were a lack of kitchen items that were needed. We took food to cook and had to be creative with pots and pans, etc. there are only 4 plates and 4 bowls, 2 glasses etc. this ment we had to wash dishes quite often. The hot tub was older and the cover is tearing apart. The back deck was dirty from previous guest dropping food and ashes. Fire pit had trash from the previous guest’s including aluminum foil where they had cooked over the fire. The back deck area just needed a good cleaning. We were very happy with our stay and enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch, playing games and watching movies by the fire. This is a great place to rent and I’m sure we will be back. Don’t take my comments as if you should not stay here. Just make sure you are prepared for lack of kitchen items and the back porch is cleaned. This did not seem like it was the normal way this cabin is. We did not reach out to the owners because it was very minor issue and it didn’t mess up our stay. We were grateful for the hospitality that given and the small touches that made it special. My husband and I made some great memories celebrating our anniversary on this short trip.

Beautiful location and cabin. We did want to let you know about just a few things because it may be important for you to know. We found a watch on the back deck and we left it on the inside kitchen table. We also ran out of warm water in the shower every time we took a shower, whether or not we were using hot water elsewhere. There was a loose or stripped drawer pull on the top left kitchen drawer. It just came off when I opened the drawer. We put it back, but it's still loose. The most impactful thing was a hot then -surprise cold shower. We did have a great time .

this is a very luxurious cabin . We checked in at the height of the heat , and they had left the AC on SIBERIA ‼ it was so cold and clean inside , the bed was very comfortable. But the best part of the stay waa the nice , clean hot tub. We loved how much light was available out back because we could use the hot tub in the wee hours of the morning and feel safe . The cabin was overstocked with anything you would need to cook with , there were plenty clean towels and the rocking chairs on the front porch made for a lovely after dark event . There are other cabins around , but they do not interfere with the privacy of this cabin , it's very secluded and I'd recommend this to a couple that wants to be alone , or a small family

What a cute cabin! We enjoyed our weekend even though the weather was terrible. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Close to several delicious restaurants and places to hike. So disappointed we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors but the view from the back deck made up for it. It's close to a few other cabins but also still very private. Check in and out was super easy. We definitely plan to make another trip!

The area was beautiful but there were neighbors all around. We expected it to be secluded but it wasn’t. The place was small but cozy. The beds were not very comfortable. I would stay in the area again but not in the same cabin.

My fiancé and I were happy with how clean and cozy this cabin is. The central heat was warm quickly for the 20 nights and the wood burning stove helped add a fun touch. Thank you for including wood! The fully stocked kitchen made it easy for us to bake and grill. Minimal cell service, but great wifi if you need to stay connected.

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was comfortable with everything we needed for some “at home” meals. The hot tub is especially enjoyable after a day of hiking and the cool nights make it even better.Communication with the host was very good and instructions were minimal and easy to follow. Check in and out was very easy also.

Husband and I took a weekend for ourselves & we couldn’t have been happier with the Quails Nest cabin. Everything we needed in the cabin and absolutely loved the working fireplace.

Really cute cabin. Needs to be more clear directions/address marked on cabin. Needs to be clear directions for TV. Personally we had left jewelry behind and cleaning staff and manager let us know! It was great to get that returned to us!

Everything about the Quail’s Nest was top-notch – apart from the driving directions, conflicting street address, and near impossible to see street number/signage from the road in the dark (and it gets dark on the ridge). It took three drive-bys and a flashlight to find. We would love to return for a longer second stay to further explore Desoto State Park and the surrounding area, especially now that we know the road like the back of our hand even in the dark 

We really enjoyed our visit. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed being at the cabin together with no phones ringing (phone service was hit or miss) but we did not mind. The cabin is perfect for two people or a small family. We did explore several towns in the area and found some unique shops as well as restaurants. Visited several waterfalls in the area. The cabin is central y located to several waterfalls.

This was the cutest little cabin, with lots of privacy!
