We greatly enjoyed our stay. Communication was great and everything was as described. Only little thing, the bed is extremely soft. Some people (me) really don't like those plush pillow tops. The other beds are located in tough spots to sleep because of the roof slanting over them. I am 6 foot 2 so that was the only little thing on the negative side.

Truly a slice of heaven, beautiful quiet secluded property, easy to find, all the photos were accurate, super comfortable bed, a freestanding and wall mounted fan were waiting for us and were more than enough for July. Super clean, had one of the most well stocked kitchens I've ever seen in a vacation rental, and the most delicious tap water I've had in years! Happily spent each night out on the porch listening to the frogs and watching the bats, and each morning listening to the birds and watching the dragonflies and the trout rises. I took the most lovely outdoor shower in the rain. I think we arrived at a particularly buggy point in the summer for the whole area, but dragonflies, trout, and bats were clearly doing their job because the bugs around the cabin were super minimal. My only potential complaint was the minimal nature of the checkout instructions - we did everything listed, but wanted to and felt like we could've helped a little more!We already can't wait to come back, and still feel so incredibly grateful that the hosts have chosen to share such a beautiful and special place.

Such a cute cabin. It was spotless, had the simple basics you need to stay a few nights. The shower is outside but is very clean and has ample hot water. We will definitely be back. A little gem.

We discovered this place online and were immediately drawn to it. Upon arriving, we realized pictures couldn't capture all of true beauty. We explored several charming country stores, enjoyed delicious meals at local restaurants, visited Taylor Farm, and took in the beautiful foliage. The Trout Cabin is a hidden gem, exuding happiness and tranquility.

We we were here almost exactly a year ago to celebrate a belated honeymoon of our marriage in August of 2023. We loved it so much the first time we booked it for this year only weeks after returning from our first visit. Unfortunately for this trip, my wife was sick almost the entire week we were up there, so obviously that put a damper on our trip, but it had no reflection on the cabin and how much we loved it. We even said to each other that if there was ever an ideal place to rest and recover, it would be here at Trout Cabin. Spent a good amount of time fly fishing on the pond, but the trout totally eluded us. We were able to get out and fish on the West River, the Waloomsic River and at Lowell Lake toward the end of the week when my wife felt better.

We loved quiet coffee looking over the pond in the morning, and amazing stargazing at night (there for cloudless new moon). Our water dog loved access to the pond. The nearby homes are barely visible and a not intrusive. The cabin is well equipped and kitchen is easy for making breakfast and simple meals for two. We didn't use the loft, since only 2 of us. We hiked in the area - many choices, tho most involved a small drive. Hiking Magic Mountain was fine, but other hikes much prettier and better maintained.

An amazing get away hidden on the edge of the woods overlooking a pond. Extremely private with every amenity desired. Owners were very easy to reach and very accommodating. Cabin was very clean and furnished with dishes, sheets, towels, and robes. Outdoor shower was an added bonus. A fire pit with wood was available as was a rustic deck to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. A definite 5 star and will definitely return for a longer stay!
