Private Riverfront Cabin

It is a relaxing stay. Deer streaming out of the woods to the green grasses along the river. Muskrats swimming in the river. Fishing if you like that sort of activity. Largest TV I've found Vrboing and easy to use.

Enjoyed watching the deer in the evenings. Such a peaceful place.

We looked at soo many places to just take a quick trip away from the everyday rat race.. this place is simply adorable! So quiet and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need! Communication with owner was great! We have no complaints at all. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely wonderful stay. House was clean and inviting. Everything worked as it should. Just a few minutes from dining and shopping. The view is spectacular. Not too far from the parkway and the music center which I highly recommend!

very clean and quaint! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was well stocked with supplies . We did use the washing machine and it did not spin clothes very well. We had to hand wring them before drying. It was the retreat we were looking for.

My partner, and and our 17 yo daughter enjoyed a week at this cabin. The kitchen was well-appointed, the living room and front porch was very comfortable. The view and access to the New River was fabulous. Even two neighborhood dogs came by for multiple visits.

We had a quick two-night trip to Galax for a gravel bike ride event in Grayson County. The cabin was perfect for our stay. Very quiet and peaceful view of the New River.

We had a great relaxing time

When my wife and I arrived on the 20th, finding the keys was a problem because the key box was on the wall to the left of the door and it wasn't clearly marked. The other major problem occurred yesterday, the 22nd. At 1:50 p.m. the electrical power went out. We waited two hours without it coming back on, so we packed up and went home, missing the third night for which we had paid. I suggested to Craig that we are due a partial refund, but he didn't seem willing. I'm disappointed. I expected better of a Vrbo provider.

Such a Great place to stay for comfort and view. The house was very clean with everything needed to relax, cook and just rest! View is spectacular and we just sit for hours watching the river flow by. Neighbor's sweet dogs stopped by couple times a day to visit and get belly rubs.Quiet street with very little traffic.Craig was very responsive as aways. This was my second visit and we will be back!

This was our first VRBO experience and we pick a gem . Immaculate condition well kept home. We had an extraordinary river front view of the New River in our front yard. Definitely would stay here again if we are in the area. Highly-recommend

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary with our children at Craig’s place. It was amazing! Our children had never seen snow and the front yard was covered! We had a relaxing weekend where we played games, had a snow ball fight and just reconnected as a family while celebrating our marriage with who mattered most. We have family moving to the area and are looking forward to booking this home during the summer!

My first time using Vrbo. Online search & registration was easy. Location as described. Clean & comfortable.

We came up for the Christmas Festival in Galax. This was the perfect location and the perfect lil house for our stay. It had everything we needed for cooking and was so cozy and warm. We hope to come back in the Spring and do some kayaking down the New River.

A little home away from home with every convenience you would want! The New River is right in front of the house with views of surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the jam sessions of mountain music in nearby towns of Independence and Fries, VA. A tour of the Matthews working farm was a treat. Lots of things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend Fries Dam Steakhouse! Our host was very helpful. Want to go back and stay longer. Room for 6 sleepers. Just bring your toothbrush and clothes!!

This charming home was beautifully situated on the water and close to both the Baywood community and town of Galax. It was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Perfect sized house for a couple or small family. Well appointed, loved the porch and river view. Convenient to town. Quiet neighbors and little traffic on road between house and river made for a very peaceful stay, but we were there Sun-Wed, so can’t speak for the weekends.

We enjoyed our visit on the New River. We also enjoyed shopping in the quaint little town of Galax. The host was flexible and allowed us to check in early. The house was very clean and accommodating.
