Fiddlers Roost - Walking Distance to Historic Downtown Galax, Virginia

We met the host on arrival as he was finishing up in the apartment. The host were easily accessible, very friendly and helpful. The apartment was quiet and private, clean, with a comfortably large kitchen and living area. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Bathroom was clean and everything was nicely decorated. We would definitly stay again!

This was a short day as I am looking at properties in the area. I loved being close to downtown and will definitely stay again as I am looking. Super cute decorations and comfortable with all the supplies and equipment needed plus more.

Our host was very easy to reach. The place was very comfortable with nice little extras and it was easy to walk to places to eat.

We had a wonderful stay in the Fiddlers Roost! The property was spotless and well appointed. It was quiet and we especially appreciated the black out curtains which allowed us to sleep in. The property is within walking distance to downtown and the New River bike trail was a short ride away. We will definitely return in the future!

This was the best place I’ve stayed in Galax. I come 2 times a year. I’ve came for 25 years now. Perfect location, beautiful apartment, owners are great to work with.

My friends and I had a great stay at Fiddler’s Roost. Brian and Heather were great hosts, having so many nice and thoughtful amenities throughout the apartment. In addition, they were very communicative and responded very quickly with answers to questions we had. We definitely plan to stay there again!

HUGE bed in master room. Fully stocked kitchen with all we needed for small meals, very clean, and a great view of the mountain. Minutes from Wal-Mart, dining and even walking distance to a Dollar Tree.

Our stay was very enjoyable. I can tell the homeowners genuinely care about their guests and their home. The decor was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. My absolute favorite thing about this place was the shower! Plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure!!! The location was noisy since we were so close to the road, this was disruptive since we are used to a quiet home in the woods. Also, as you should expect, there is a limited number of stores and restaurants in the area. That said, we weren’t looking to visit a city so it suited us just fine. Parking was a challenge because the neighbors parked their mini bus in the center of the only 3 available parking spots. However, that is certainly not a reflection of the homeowners. The home was clean but not perfect, such as a few hairs found on the toilet and in the shower. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars! (If you imagine all the luxuries of a 5-star hotel, this place isn’t that. But it’s lovely!)

Absolutely lovely. Very clean! Plenty of space and privacy. Owners touched base to make sure everything was good via messaging through the app, but they were not obtrusive. I would absolutely stay here again next time we visit VA. Thank you for a memorable and relaxing weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was excellent about the property. The property manager checked in to make sure that everything was going well and that nothing was needed. The home was fully stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen had all the dishware and cutlery for cooking. The bathroom had more than enough towels and accessories. The air conditioning and hot water worked well. The location of the property was convenient to everything that Galax and the New River Valley have to offer. The home was spotless and modern. This will be my first choice to stay when I next return to Galax.

We stayed here for a long weekend to attend the smoke on the mountain festival in Galax! It was so clean and cozy. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The snacks & drinks were very appreciated :) we had 3 adults and 2 children (ages 3 & 5) and we had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably!

We were there to visit a friend who lives in Galax. While the apartment is small, it was plenty for us. The building and grounds were spotless. Brian was also very helpful for a little technical issue.

Lovely place in the heart of Galax. We were in for graduation and never more than 5 minutes away from the places we needed to be. Very clean. Great communication from owner and enough hot water for lots of showers!
