It was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery. It was the relaxing weekend that we needed.

We loved this sweet little cabin! Unexpectedly, we arrived on a day when the temperature was plummeting and snow was expected. We arrived early enough that getting to the cabin wasn't difficult with a 2 wheel drive pickup, but were a bit worried about getting out. We enjoyed a quiet night by the fire watching TV, reading books, and watching the weather outside. It snowed overnight, about 2 inches, but we were pleasantly surprised that a landscape company was working to make the road down safer - and it was no problem! I just wish we had more time and the weather was better in the area so we could visit more of Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice getaway!

Location was very convenient for us. Cabin is located between Blowing Rock and Boone. Luckily we got one of the cabins near river. Otherwise the other cabins are located up a steep gravel hill. The cabin needed an extra cleaning. Living room smelled of urine. Hot tub was dirty. But cabin is nice but it just needs a good cleaning.

Convenient location to downtown Blowing Rock but still felt secluded with access to a small stream. Cabin was up a steep drive but doable in 4x4. Pet Friendly, plenty of space for 2, Included all the necessary amenities. Really enjoyed our weekend stay!

We rent cabins in the TN & NC mountains a few times every year and have never had a bad experience with a rental, until this one. We booked the Cabin for 6 days and left within 36 hours of arrival. The first night we checked in late (10pm) after an 11 hour drive. As soon as we opened the door, there was a heavy musty / moldy smell. My wife has asthma (mold is a big trigger) and her first night in the Cabin was miserable. The next day we had her doctor call in an extra prescription and tried another night with the same result. When the Cabin is open, during the day, it’s not so bad. But when everything is closed up at night, it is horrible. The cabin would benefit greatly from some clean-up time and capital investment on the owners part. It’s dark, damp and moldy (unlike the bright and airy photos in the listing). There is a quiet creek, but the road noise (all night and all day) spoils the serenity of being “in the woods”. The highlight was the awesome 4WD climb up the mountain - but we would not recommend the stay.

The unit was old and needed updates. The Range Oven was filthy. Getting response from property manager was non existent. Kitchen was not stocked properly with dinner ware or eating utensils. Poor air circulation. One window air conditioner for entire unit. Heating consists of baseboard heaters and 50 year old wall heaters. Did not use heat so can't comment on efficiency. Access to the unit definitely needed four wheel drive. Overall the unit was clean and somewhat comfortable. Do not anticipate returning to this unit.

Think it would be wise to indicate the need for four wheel drive getting to the top cabin. We just found out about this days prior to check in. We are grateful a lower cabin was available to substitute.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was very quaint and cozy. Due to the bad weather, we did not get to use the hot tub. We ate our meals out, but enjoyed our hot coffee in the mornings before going out and our beverages on the porch in the evenings. It was very pretty setting and helped us relax for the weekend. We enjoyed the gas logs as well. We highly recommend the cabin to others (Holly cabin). We will be back.

Unfortunate and misleading experience. Our stay was scheduled for two weeks after Hurricane Helene, and we were understandably concerned about possible damage or disruptions in the area. After speaking with local homeowners, we contacted the host to ensure everything was in order. The host assured us that the property was ready for our visit, and with reassurance from both the host and Vrbo, we went ahead with our plans. However, upon arrival, we encountered a serious issue: the only bridge providing access to the cabins was chained off and blocked. The creek under the bridge had experienced significant erosion, making it unsafe to cross. There was even construction equipment parked on the gravel path. Exhausted and confused, we repeatedly tried to reach the host, but it was only after several attempts that we were told about the problem. The host suggested we park on unstable ground and haul our belongings across the damaged bridge and a long distance to the cabin—a completely unsafe and unreasonable request. Not only did this create a stressful situation, but it also left us with no choice but to leave the property and spend a significant amount of money on last-minute accommodation. The lack of prior communication about the condition of the property and access issues was alarming. It made us question whether the cabin itself was safe, given the surrounding damage. To make matters worse, the host stopped responding and took no responsibility for the situation. We reached

Very nice accommodations, road into property was very steep and rougher than I expected but was able to navigate it. Thought we would be closer to the stream of water, but I had not inquired about this so it was not a big deal. Very convenient location, near great restaurants and stores. All together well satisfied. great internet/ tv, Very Clean.

Great location near town of Blowing Rock, nicely appointed log cabin with porch. A little difficult maneuvering driveway due to gravel washout, but overall great experience.

listing showing photo of cabin was correct. riverside views of gazebo and firepit shelter was also shown. I assumed that this was the place that we were staying. Surely disappointing to find out that was not true. Had to go up a gravel road that was washed out in several places. ruts up to a foot deep. has been this way for a long time . should have been repaired. Had a hard time getting up to the cabin with my Lincoln MKZ which is built lower to the ground. Scraped bottom every time that I went up and down the hill. Overall we had a good tiime. Road need to be repaired.
