Peaceful, fun, beautiful scenery
Jack and Abby have created a wonderful sanctuary at Pretty Lake. The cabin is perfect. The recording studio gave us the perfect place to read and listen to music on a rainy day. We thoroughly enjoyed paddling around the lake on paddle boards and feeding the fish off the dock. We’ll certainly be back!
The cabin was just what we were expecting for our short weekend getaway. We were able to relax out on the dock and take in the water and wildlife around us. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching a movie on the nice projector TV. In the morning, as we had our coffee we would see the wild turkey, young deer, and the resident goose couple tending to her eggs:) There are some short trails on the property and I did some fishing. Also they gifted us a nice bottle of wine for our Anniversary which was very sweet and thoughtful. It was nice to have Columbia close by to run into town for a dinner and pick up a couple of things. I look forward to making it back in the future.
Loved the property and was very comfortable. Be sure and bring food! Miscommunication about the fee. They said they had never had that before. I guess I didn’t read the fine print. Just a really relaxing and very clean place to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Pretty Lake. It was the perfect spot while we enjoyed Family Weekend at Mizzou. It is a beautiful location, and we loved coming back to kayak and paddle board.
Hosts were very accommodating and friendly! They truly went above and beyond.
Best weekend get a way with your own privacy! Lake House is beautiful and so clean, along with the outside property.
One of our absolute favorite places that we stayed. If you love nature and outdoor activities, this place is perfect. This beautiful property has the ambiance that must be experienced. Can't wait to go back.
We had a very relaxing time. Loved watching all the wildlife.
As an architect Jack has done an impressive job with very quality work and high end materials in the construction of the Pretty Lake cabin. Abby and Jack were very friendly hosts and helpful. I was having trouble with tv/projector and Jack was there in minutes to fix the problem. Kayaks and paddle board were a lot of fun. They have created a sanctuary to encourage lots of wildlife; we woke up in the morning and were again visited in the evening surrounded by does and fawns along with turkey and a lovely geese “couple”. Very nice quiet getaway.
