The view is beautiful

This property is beautiful. We walked to the peaceful river in the mornings and saw many deer. We also saw a couple of turkeys. The views are amazing. It is very quiet and had all upgraded appliances. It is a perfect get away for a couple. Short drive to Durango. Thank you to the owners of this property! We will definitely be back!

This property was the perfect getaway and I will definitely go back again. It was clean, quiet and felt like home.

Perfect cabin for our weekend stay. Clean, cozy and convenient. Watching the sunrise over the river from the front porch was a wonderful way to start the day.

Such a cute little place! I recommend taking your coffee outside and sipping to the sound of the river as the sun rises. Simply lovely!!

This is a great cabin and area. The river is beautiful. Loved Durango and Silverton.

Overall cleanliness was great! Cabin was the perfect size for 2 people. Views from the front porch were beautiful! Would definitely stay again but for a longer time. Great location away from city but located close enough to get to places to eat all activities that we had planned.

Current property description is accurate regarding location, layout, & amenities; well furnished, clean, and well-maintained. The owner is professional, polite, & realistically accommodating. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative, traveling alone or with one other adult. Day 1: Early rise to drive to Cortez for breakfast before heading to 4-Corners Monument, then back for lunch in Cortez before a 3-4 hour self guided tour by car & easy hiking through Mesa Verde Nat'l Park Day 2: Pagosa Springs visit ended up just being for breakfast, due to construction in the town, so we drove back to the cabin in Bayfield, before deciding to drive up to Vallecito Reservoir for a late lunch, plus walked the dam Day 3: Durango for breakfast & historic downtown shopping, turned into a trip to Purgatory for 3-4 hours of summer activities, including the resort's ski lift, alpine slide,& mountain coaster Day 4: Breakfast in Durango before taking the Durango/Silverton steam train up into the San Juan Nat'l Forest/mountains to the small western town of Silverton for a 2.5 hrs. lunch/shopping, before coming back down by train again. As for restaurants, I looked at most recent reviews on restaurants in each individual town, to find places that we might like to try for fun. So recent 5-star reviews and on-line menu and photos helped make restaurant decisions ahead of time, NOT split second after already hungry! We tended to eat between 3-4pm, to avoid restaurant evening rush hour :)

A small house quite comfortable for 2 people. Very nicely furnished, kitchen is adequate (no stove but a two burner hotplate), coffee maker, dish towels. Washer & dryer. Laundry soap and dish soap provided. Bathroom is also adequate for one person at a time. My only concern is that the house was very dusty. Would definitely rent it again as it is only 10 minutes to Bayfield where we have family.

We loved the convenience of being close to family in Bayfield. Previously we have stayed in hotels in Durango and were glad not to have to drive back and forth to Durango every day. The cabin was in such a pretty setting by the river. Although we didn’t have time to enjoy the property, we hope to return! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host said we could bring an air mattress, so each grandchild spent a night with us also. Perfect!

Very cute and clean rental property. We saw deer on property 2 out of 5 mornings we were there. We were out and about most of the time but this property is nicely furnished for cooking, etc. It is a 19 mile drive from Durango but we did not mind the drive at all! Bayfield is a cute little town and good restaurant options. We would love to rent this space again if we travel to Durango in the future.

Loved our stay here! Beautiful location, accomodating & friendly hosts, and a perfect tiny house with all we could need.

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was nicely furnished (down to makeup cloths!) and decorated. The host sent a welcoming text & asked that we contact her if we needed anything. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the quiet. We strolled historic Durango one day & took the train to Silverton the next.
