Sullivan, Maine
This rustic two-bedroom (one w/ queen bed, one w/ two twin beds), one bath cabin sits along the coast in Flanders Bay. All of the comforts, but in a picturesque Maine Downeast setting. Fully appointed kitchen, charcoal grill, Jotul wood stove with back-up monitor heat, full bath w/shower.
Watch the peaceful sunrises while sipping coffee on the front porch or the fiery sunsets while sitting on the water's edge. Walk along the beach or enjoy the expansive front yard playing cornhole, grilling, or simply sitting by the fire pit while breathing in the beauty.
Considered the gateway to the Schoodic Peninsula, home to the only portion of Acadia National Park on the mainland, Sullivan is the quintessential Downeast gem. You can kayak in the bay of your front yard or spend time hiking Schoodic Mountain, Tuck Mountain, or any of Acadia's long list of trails.

I never wanted leave! All the comforts of home with a one in a million view! Fresh seafood a stones throw away and walkable at “Tracy’s!” Since staying indefinitely wasn’t an option; we can’t wait to return!
We loved this cabin for our Acadia visit! It’s close to the park but away from the tourist chaos of Bar Harbor. Incredibly comfortable and cozy, beautiful views, and we had a pair of bald eagles visit every day.
My husband & I stayed at Camp 60 for a week in the fall. This cabin is not fancy - but it is perfect. Clean, plenty of supplies, just about anything you need is there. My only suggestion would be a compact washer dryer & maybe update the TV which is ancient and only plays DVDs. Not a big issue for us but might be for guests with kids. Host was great and communicated frequently and offered great suggestions. The views from the porch are gorgeous and falling asleep to the sounds of the water lapping on the shore and the cry of loons was wonderful. You are close enough to everything and blissfully far away enough to have your own little world. We didn’t want to leave!
I would live in this cabin if I could. The view is unbelievable at all times of day, very quiet area. The RV park next door was quiet and very nice. The cabin was perfect and definitely want to stay here again.
This is such a great location to be right on the water. We were in between MDI Acadia National Park and Schoodic Acadia National Park. Both areas were wonderful with Schoodic being less crowded. We used the wood burning stove as it got down to 49 degrees at night (in June!) and it provided warmth for the entire cabin. We used the fire pit outside for homemade popcorn and marshmallows. We used the grate from the charcoal grill to cook up burgers on that fire even though there was also a charcoal grill and propane grill. We did not use the corn hole games but they we’re available! We should have stopped at the cabin before shopping (major stores only about 15 minutes away) as there were many spices, olive oil, butter, etc. available. We added and left a few unused foods as well! The RV park next door was quiet. The cabin is just off the main road but so it is very convenient for traveling but you don’t hear the noise of the road, and the view of the water was so amazing even on rainy or foggy days. On the few sunny days, my husband took a dip in the water too! The host, Jim, was very responsive and left a great trail guide book that helped us pick out our adventures for the day. The beds (Queen, twins and futon) were all comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. There were plenty of towels, beach towels and hair dryer. Would definitely stay here again and hope to sometime in the future! Thanks Jim!
We had a great stay at the cabin, beautiful location and it is truly a hidden gem! Thanks again Jim!!
LOOKING FOR TOTAL CHILL...THIS IS THE PLACE. WELCOMING ROCKING CHAIRS TO WATCH NATURES HAPPENINGS IN THE WOODS AND PICTURESQUE FLANDERS BAY...SEALS, EAGLES, OSPREYS, LOBSTERMEN, CHUBBY RED FOX AND MUCH MORE. TOTAL JOY. AND NEARBY IS THE MAGNIFICENT SCENERY OF THE SCHOODIC POINT LOOP AS WELL45 MINUTE DRIVE TO BAR HARBOR AND THE MAGICAL CARRAIGE TRAILS. GOD WILLING, DEFINITELY WILL RETURN TO THIS CABIN.
This little cabin on the water's edge of Flanders Bay was everything and more described. It was our own little slice of heaven for the week we enjoyed there. I spent hours sitting on the front porch watching the tide ebb and flow, eagles and ospreys circling overhead and diving for a meal, the lobstermen coming in with their daily harvest, and so much more. I would highly recommend this camp for your next stay along the Downeast Coast of Maine. Our host was delightfully helpful with recommendations for activities as well as local resaurants. Can not wait to visit again.
One of the best stays ive had yet. Beautiful cabin right on the water. Relaxing, quiet, beautiful views. Cant be beat! The cabin was so well set up it had everything you could possibly need. Felt like home.
That's what we felt, that it is or home that we plan to come back to. We love our next door neighbors as well as the neighbors that live in the back yard tree, that being the Bald Eagles. Pretty cool.
My friend and I were amazed at the serenity of this property. Everything we needed was already there. Nothing can beat the view of the water and the mountains. The park and bar harbor are only about 45 mins away. There is a great ice cream place within walking distance. 100% will be visiting again and recommend!!!!!!
This is a spacious cabin with a spectacular waterfront view. We saw bald eagles and various water fowls all day long from the living/dining room windows. The cabin has plenty of amenities and a generous pantry to make it feel like a home away from home. We took the canoe out one afternoon for some bird watching. We also enjoyed the lobster rolls and whole-belly clams from Tracey's seafood just within a short walking distance. It is a ~45-minute drive to Acadia NP but a lot closer (~15 min) to Acadia Schoodic District in Winter Harbor. We stopped by Winter Harbor Lobster Co-op for a tasty and cheap lobster/crab meal one afternoon. Overall a wonderful property and would definitely visit again. One thing missing that would make this experience absolutely perfect would be access to wifi. But we had good phone signals and were able to use our phones as mobile hotspots to get a little work done on our laptops.
Comfortable, cozy spot with the most awesome porch! The view of Flanders Bay and the mountains of Acadia never gets old. The Mason jar fire fly lanterns in the tree and nighlights in the hall speak to a genuine thoughtfulness. Loved the Radio/cd player as we actually had brought our own with us and cd's. And yes, there were lupines in the field.
The first thing to know about this location is its spectacular view of Mount Desert Island and Frenchman Bay. I didn't want to leave it. As a base for exploring Acadia and environs, it met my needs and then some. Comfortable, very clean and quiet, but close enough to the hiking trails. Jim provided all the little extras that I forgot, and responded quickly to my questions. A great Maine camp experience!
