Newly built deluxe cabins, in a private redwood setting near the Smith River

The location is unbeatable, the cabin is beautiful, and being practically steps from giant redwoods is something you can’t put a price on. What more could you ask for?

Nice and new, everything ok but since there is no TV or Internet, reading lamps would be nice. Great location for Jedediah Smith hiking. Also, please use unscented laundry products.

Places to stay around Hiouchi are scarce so we were very happy to have this cabin. We will be back.

Location was fantastic. The porch of the cabin faces the driveway area instead of the surrounding forest, but there are enough large windows that you can still enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable, and the entire building is cozy while not feeling too cramped. It's a bit of a drive into town, but the drive is through the redwoods and was enjoyable every time. If you're planning on spending a lot of time at the cabin playing board games like we did, make sure to bring a folding table to put things on so you're not too crowded. Would definitely recommend booking this location, and we look forward to our next visit!

Great place!

It took about 17-20 minutes to get to trails we were interested in hiking (The Grove of the Titans, Stout Grove, Metcalf Grove) and Crescent City. It was super clean, the host was friendly and I would stay here again.

As advertised. Enjoyed the cabin. Only negative was VRBO problem with check in code - NOT the owner’s problem - it was VRBO. The owner was terrific and helped resolve the checkin issue as soon as he heard about the issue. .

Cant get any better to stay close to the Redwoods. Cabin was clean, warm, and comfortable. Host was very nice. Had 5 deer walk by the cabin in the morning. Very picturesque and peaceful stay.

Easy to book, exactly as listed and SPOTLESS. Had everything we needed. One observation, and maybe it’s because I’m old, but lamps on bedside tables would be a plus. Thanks so much!

Home was gorgeously situated in the pines, and a short drive to hikes and crescent city without being surrounded by people. No TV, no WiFi. Cabin was exceptionally clean and well cared for. Extra linens were available, with plenty of room to cook and enjoy evenings. Host was quick to respond to questions, and had a very easy checkout process (clean up, lock up).

Quaint place to stay in a gorgeous setting! The self check-in process was seamless. We were essentially only there to sleep before we continued on our roadtrip, so having coffee was appreciated!

We would love the cabin. Check-in was easy. The Kitchen was clean. There’s no Wi-Fi access.

Very new cabin right near the redwoods. The cabin was very clean and neat. The kitchen needed some additional utensils but other than that we were very satisfied and would recommend to other couples.

This was the perfect place for exploring the redwoods . . . just wish the weather had been better!

Beautiful, well kept, fully stocked place to stay. Easy access to Redwoods trails and information center. We really enjoyed our stay, we wish it was longer.

It was everything we expected and more. The cabin is new and very clean. We enjoyed the quiet location. The bed was very comfortable and the Linens and towels were very nice. We highly recommend visitors to the redwoods stay here. You are literally nestled in the redwoods. Cozy, comfortable and quiet!
