We stayed here for a long Valentine's weekend get away. The location of this home was absolutely perfect. It allows you to walk downtown Helen just walking out your door and saves having to find or pay for parking. I will say the driveway is quite steep and a beast to walk up and down, but otherwise it's just down that walk and you are in the downtown area. AWD vehicles are helpful due to the steep incline, and cars close to the ground may have a tough time where the driveway meets the road. Everything is super close by. We did several hikes in the area and they were less than 15 minutes drive. Uhuburg castle is about 10 minutes drive. All of downtown is walking distance. Bettys country store is downtown and has a good selection and some neat novelty items as well. Walmart super center and Ingles are about 15 minutes away in Cleveland. The host was very responsive and super helpful. The home itself has a nice view off all levels of downtown and is very clean. The home is a little snug (especially kitchen) if you have a bigger party, but it was just as the pictures showed and perfect for just the 2 of us. Overall a perfect weekend away.

I would give our stay five stars if it weren’t for the **extremely steep driveway**. The location is great if you want to be close to downtown Helen, but future guests should be aware that the driveway is very difficult to drive or walk up and down; even for healthy, athletic teenagers. I mentioned the driveway issue to our host, Christine, and she said she is aware of it and hopes to have work done to it soon. Christine was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. The cabin itself was excellent; very clean, comfortable mattresses, and a well-stocked kitchen. If the driveway issue is resolved, this would truly be the perfect place for my family to stay in Helen.

Very nice stay. Only thing I can say negative is we booked this house under the expectation we could walk into town and not fight traffic or pay for parking, but the driveway is an 90 degree angle the wife and I walked down and up it one time and would not try it again and it was way too unsafe for kids to try

I loved the cabin. The basement game room was really nice. It was close to downtown. The driveway is really steep. Stairs from the road to the cabin would be nice.

Our family of 6 stayed for fall break. The location was great, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Only negatives we really had were the dryer took forever to dry clothes, and the neighbors that you share trash cans with filled them up before they left and we couldn’t get trash into it. (Not really anything the property owners could control)We would stay again. Overall the cabin was nice, big and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and communication was very fast.
