NEW Owl and Moon Romantic Cabin Majestic Views for Miles Fireplace and Hottub

I LOVED everything about the cabin and the deck. It was superb. Just wish the view had been nothing but mountains instead of houses, buildings, and roads. However, driving down the road we saw some of the most beautiful leaves we have ever seen.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The view was beautiful, and one of our favorite parts was watching the sunset from the large porch each evening. The cabin was comfortable and provided a relaxing place to spend a few days away.

Cabin was extremely clean and exceeded our expectations.

Perfect place to relax and let go. The deck is the best feature of the property. Setting in the swing with a glass of wine watching the sunset is an awesome experience.

Amazing property! Quaint and cozy cabin...perfect for a couple looking to get away for a few days. View off the deck is absolutely beautiful. Cabin itself is well appointed and decorated nicely, properly stocked and has everything you need for your stay. Bed is SUPER comfortable and the copper bathtub is amazing! My wife and I enjoyed everything about our stay and would love to visit again...next time during the winter when we can enjoy the fireplaces. Highly recommended!

What a picturesque cabin on the ridge with a fantastic view of the valley and incredible sunsets. My wife and I stayed here for our second anniversary and had a great time roasting s'mores in the fire pit and enjoying the hot tub. It's on a peaceful road with very little traffic. We saw a black bear poking around the fire pit the first night, wanting to join in on the s'mores action. It ran off after it heard us come back out of the cabin and we didn't see it again, but just a warning to be careful with food outside at night because they are around.

Cabin was very clean and well equipped and extra plus were the incredible views of the sunset from the spacious deck! The host was very responsive.

Cozy cabin with a fantastic view from the brow. Well equipped. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the views. Had a great meal in Mentone at Elevation Bistro - definitely recommend.

We had a great experience. 5 stars. The cabin was easy to find, clean, private, and well stocked. The tiny town is precious and offers plenty to do for a quiet romantic weekend or a family getaway. Spent a lot of time just laying on the deck with our books or in the hot tub. I love that there were 2 white robes, to add to the vacation vibe. I love that there was a small shelf of books and a rack of DVDs. Only constructive feedback I would give on something that could be improved is perhaps a sturdier bed frame. The bed frame underneath is squeaky, and the headboard is propped against the wall but not attached to the frame, so it would move/knock sometimes and wake me up during the night. But that's a pretty minor thing! The mattress itself was comfortable, the copper tub was amazing, the shower was spacious and squeaky clean, and we loved staying there. Hope to be back someday! Thank you!

We enjoyed staying here. Everything was pretty much as described and it has just as awesome a view as it shows in the picture.

Was an amazing view. Very clean. The town people were not friendly or just not happy people. Didn't care for the local food. Glad we brought our own. Wasn't that much to do. But, the quietness and views made it worth the stay.

Bed was super comfortable! Cabin is close to lovely hiking trails! Location is quiet and peaceful but close enough to several great restaurants.

Great stay

Cabin was great! Just as its described on the listing and in pictures. Check in was a breeze and communication was good. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner one night. The dining table is a little small but we ate at the bar instead. Would like to come back when its cold and use the wood-burning fireplace. If I had to say anything negative, I'd say bring your own bath soap. Not a huge deal but we did have to buy some while we were there. Love this spot and will stay there again!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The views are stunning especially at sunset. It is located very close to Desoto State Park which is great to drive through, with many hiking trails and waterfalls. The host is very informative, helpful and responsive to inquiries. My wife and I hated to leave and would love to go back again!

Home and all amenities were as advertised. Space was small, but just fine for two people. Great views.

Beautiful cabin with beautiful view. We really enjoyed our stay. We were unable to get the gas logs outside to turn on and the hot tub only worked properly on one side. Not a deal breaker as the cabin with view and hot tub was enough.

This cabin was amazing! Beautiful inside and out! We enjoyed the hot tub after hiking, the outdoor fireplace was great for cold evenings! We used the indoor fireplace daily and enjoyed the beautiful views and one of the most amazing sunsets ever! Kitchen was great! Stainless steel appliances plus has washer and dryer. Huge tv with dish network was great for watching football! Quiet and peaceful area. We didn't want to leave! Definitely will be back!

Great romantic weekend getaway.

Very, very nice cabin. Well decorated and super clean. Perfect for two people. Went out hiking every day and enjoying Mentone. We made sure we were back at the cabin in the late afternoon for what we called “the show”, that incredible sunset! After dark we would stargaze. The stars are amazing at this cabin. We enjoyed it so much. Can’t wait to go back to Mentone. Wish we were back there now. P. S. Robert was great!

The area is quiet and peaceful. Very clean and very comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub, it was also very clean and easy to use. We hope to return.

My wife and I booked this stay because we have too many kids, and we needed to get away. This cabin has everything we needed for the perfect, quiet getaway. Our only regret is not staying longer. Lesson learned. We'll definitely see about a longer stay here, next time. On another note, whatever the housekeeper, Lisa, is being paid, she's worth it and more. This place was absolutely spotless.

Our stay was amazing as usual. We love this property of Robert's. This is our home away from home now. God put Robert and his special place in our lives at the perfect time. We have stayed multiple times now and love it each time. Check in is always so easy and the kitchen is perfect for a short or long stay. Wi-Fi is great even at the top of the mountain day and night, never an issue. There are amazing restaurants within a few minutes of the cabin, and we have not had a bad experience yet. Hopefully we will get to meet Robert in person and personally thank him for allowing us the privilege to rent his special cabin on the top of the mountain. We are already planning our next trip up very soon.

So peaceful. It feels like you're basically in a tree house when you're on the back porch. I was even above the clouds one morning - beautiful. Wonderful place to get away from reality and relax for a while.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay in Mentone. The cabin was just as pictured and the view was breathtaking! We enjoyed a weekend of relaxing on the wraparound deck and taking in all the views. Can’t wait to come back!

There is not enough good things I can say about the New Owl and Moon. The cabin itself. The land. The location. The view. The serenity. The air quality. Everything was more than what I was expecting. I will definitely be returning if it is in the Lords will. The inside of the cabin is like a little travel back in time to simpler days. The full wraparound porch was a very nice touch. The way it looks to that breath taking view of the land and mountain rang and trees from the rear of the cabin was sublime. Even the air was crisp with a rejuvenating feeling. Definitely worth renting. Everything isnt for everyone, but I hope everyone gives this cabin a try. Oh, and before I forget. The property owner was beyond polite. I give this little gem a 5 out of 5 stars. Keep up the good work.

Though the weather was less than ideal, this cliffside cabin was perfectly appointed, well maintained and a beautiful respite for my husband and I.

Was looking for a getaway and this was perfect.The view was amazing and centrally located to what we wanted.Plan to visit here again.

The property was as described, clean, and very conveniently situated on the bluff. There were a couple of other cabins fairly close so the patio area and hot tub wasn't as private as it could be. Enjoyed the stay.

The view was spectacular! The property was nice and quiet so perfect for my husband to spend some much needed alone time together. The bed was super comfy!

My husband and I needed just a few days of peace and quiet. The cabin is beautiful and has every convenience. We were hoping for a little more privacy (outdoor space is very visible to neighbors on both sides) but enjoyed the beautiful views and just having time alone. Robert was wonderful with communication and getting everything set up for us.

We go to Mentone a lot, at least twice a year and had another cabin we loved and then we saw this one and wanted to try it out. We loved it even more. We’ll be booking again for the Fall.

We loved this place. The view was great. Mentone is perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s very peaceful. Lots of places to hike around it. The host responded quickly. My only complaint was that our trip happened to be during a severe weather event. Alabama was declared to be in a state of emergency and I asked the host to cancel because we didn’t want to leave our kids and he refused to. He told us the property didn’t have a safe room but we could get in the crawl space if we needed. Instead of being out the money and not getting to go at all we decided to still go. We had a great time but tornadoes did hit the area my kids were in and there were lots of tears she’d while we watched the news and the direction the tornadoes were headed. They were okay. All of that to say the place was great and we had a good weekend but the host seems to not have much empathy and understanding when it comes to emergent situations. I wouldn’t have asked to cancel for a simple thunderstorm. Our state was in a state of emergency and all of the places to eat in Mentone closed the day of severe weather.

We had relaxing time, loved the fireplace and the views were amazing! The kitchen had everything you need. The bed was so comfortable.

So awesome! That wrap around deck is Amazing!!! Such a cozy cabin and soooo romantic! We needed a break from our busy lives and we sure got it! Very inviting and we will definitely be back! That view was what sealed the deal!!! We couldn’t get enough of the sunsets!! Highly recommend Owl and Moon!!

An unbelievably cozy and comfortable place to stay if you are a couple visiting Mentone. Large back deck overlooking the valley below. We spent most of our time on the deck! We loved everything about the cabin. Highly recommend.

Property is new construction the last few years. Elegantly designed. Sits perfectly on the property with perfect views off the brow. Plenty of seating options on the deck to enjoy the view. You can literally see for 40 miles. Did not want to leave. WE WILL BE BACK.

Very relaxing with breathtaking views

We chose this property for a second time to celebrate our anniversary and escape the rat race of life. The home, location and amenities are perfect for couples. We dined at delicious restaurants such as Elevation, Wildflower, and Mentone Market and visited Orbix Glass blowing for an opportunity make Christmas ornaments. Rob is a wonderful host, and Lisa does an amazing job keeping the home neat and tidy. A perfect place for a perfect getaway. Clean, well maintained cabin with good amenities (large flatscreen TV, porch with chaise lounges,jacuzzi, gas and wood fireplaces, BBQ grill). Also centrally located with respect to parks, Rock City, Ruby Falls, etc. Wonderful experience.

We have been to this cabin 3 times now and it is just like a touch of heaven each time we go. The cabin is ALWAYS spotless and is so comfortable and cozy. We have stressful family issues at home and this is a perfect escape to relax, recharge and the view is truly amazing and it just takes all stress away while we are there. We are hoping and praying that one day we will get to spend a whole month there. We also hope and pray to get the pleasure and honor of meeting the owner, Robert. He will never know how much it means to us to be able to come to his cabin and just leave our cares down here on the coast while we are in our little spot of heaven while enjoying the beauty and peace and quiet and the comforts of his cabin. We are truly blessed to have this beautiful cabin to go to when we just need a weekend get away. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are truly thankful and blessed every time we stay at the Owl & Moon cabin.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The cabin was extremely clean and cozy! It was a little difficult to find at night, but it was dark, rainy, and foggy when we arrived. The cabin is right off of the road and easy to see during the day. It has a beautiful view! We hope to return again!
