Everything was great (bedrooms, fire pit, fish pond, hot tub, 4 fire places) .. the only thing that would have made it better would have been a smart tv in the common area.

The host provided a lot of information before we arrived and it was very helpful. The host Misty and Randy were quick to respond when I had a question. We have stayed at numerous places through VRBO and this log cabin is in the top 10. We cannot wait to stay here again. It was a great location to go skiing and tubing.

the hot was clean but the surface was exteremely slipping getting in to it. the overall cabin was very nice the dishes and sliverware had to be washed prior to use, I would still stay again.

Enjoyed the stay very much. House is just wonderful with beautiful views. Property owners responded quickly to our questions and checked in with us during the stay.

We had a very nice stay! We didn’t get to fully enjoy all of the amenities provided but would definitely return for a longer stay to be able to do so. It was a nice relaxing place to come back and unwind after days filled with hiking and other activities.

The whole process was easy end-to-end with clear communication with the property owner/managers. Gorgeous views and convenient location. I was only there with one other person but would definitely go back with a group/recommend for a group.

The perfect place for my friends and I to relax on a girl's weekend. So many ways to sit and take in the surrounding view. The cabin was exactly as pictured and very clean. The beds were very comfy. Our favorite part was sitting in the hot tub watching the stars come out.

We were traveling the east coast and picked Hawksbill retreat as a location to meet our son who lives in DC and connect for a week. The property is beautiful, the cabin was great and we especially liked the wrap around porch. There was only three of us so we probably only used half of the unit. The Mare House can accommodate probably 6 people comfortably. The location right outside the Shenandoah National Park was terrific and we also made day trips over to New Market and also Monticello.

We really enjoyed the place. House is exactly as described. The bedrooms are REALLY big and there's a ton of natural light. We have two kids and they really enjoyed exploring the grounds and the playground across the street. One thing to note is that a lot of the nearby hikes are on the other side of some hills with no road access, so look ahead at any hikes you're planning to do, and make sure you're not an hour's drive away!
