It was absolutely amazing cabin but that’s it. That’s all you get. The cabin and the hot tub. Nothing more. You have to bring anything and I mean anything else you need. There’s a coffee maker but no complimentary coffee at all. There’s not even salt and pepper so if you want to cook bring everything you need. She supplies one flimsy roll of TP which was gone by the start of day 2. Someone has mentioned a list of restaurants and maybe some things to do near by would have been nice. When you leave you have to strip the sheets and sweep And run the dishwasher before you leave. Makes me wonder what the cleaning crew actually does. And the Wi-Fi is terrible. I needed it to communicate with my family and it was terrible. The tv has very little so bring blu-ray movies if you enjoy watching tv at night. All in all I think it’s a beautiful cabin and if she was to add some small things to the cabin for your comfort it would be much better. For what we paid I would have thought there’d be more added touches to make it more “homey” like the photos.
The property had everything we needed! It was clean, quaint and cozy! The only thing I would recommend is to put some better cushions on the chairs outside! We spent our evenings on the deck, so, comfier cushions would have been nice. Other than that, the cabin was perfect for us!
Great cabin with amazing views. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful.
Loved the property
There are several of these cabins on the property, but each are spaced such that you feel secluded. We had cabin #10 and it's a 1BR/1BA setup, but has most everything you could ask for including a hot tub outside under the stars. The property itself is beautiful - nestled in the mountains with gorgeous sunrises (and moonrises) and we were treated to see some of the local wildlife...a buck, a few other deer, a group of pheasants (we think anyway), and even a fox. It's a gated property so traffic is limited to guests only. Really enjoyed it.
Of all the many places I have stayed in the US, Hawaii and abroad this is the first time I have experienced 1 ply toilet paper, no complementary toiletries, or complementary coffee/tea/bottled water basket, no laundry detergent to complement the washer/dryer. A steep cleaning deposit but yet the customer is asked to do half the cleaning up before checking out. With all the added fees this stay turned out to be way more expensive for what it had to offer. To make this a true romantic getaway, which it could be - upgrade the bedding and get rid of the quite uncomfortable couch (although it did hold luggage quite nicely) that is up against a wall not facing the TV, so the end tables can be put in their proper locations. For the price paid the things that are missing is what a customer is expecting to find in order to have a true romantic getaway.
We enjoyed our stay and have zero complaints. The cabin is exactly as listed.
Loved the cabin. It was perfect! Would have appreciated a reading lamp. All of the lights are overhead. From the pictures on line, I thought the cabin sat on the lake. When I went back and looked at the pictures online, it was the gazebo and the lodge that appeared to be on the lake/pond. The restaurant options were very limited in the area. A list of area restaurants and recommendations, would have been helpful. Our last meal there, we found the Hawksbill Diner. It is easy to miss, but the meal was worth it!
What an incredible place!! I can only use words like “magical” and “heavenly” to describe it!! Our only complaint was that we couldn’t have stayed longer! And that was our scheduling troubles, not the availability of the wonderful cabin # 10. It had everything you need to escape the everyday world for just a few days. It was clean, accessible, easy to find , well stocked with amenities and the views and location are just perfect!! We used everything!! The hot tub, the front deck and fire pit were the toppers!! We absolutely cannot wait to come back!!!
This cabin was perfect for two people! Super clean and easy to get to. Great distance from some cool trails. Everything worked and exceeded our expectations!
We had to cut our trip short, but we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, serenity, and overall experience at cabin 10. Everything was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would love to come back, perhaps with a larger group.
The overall property is outstanding...very secluded, excellent views and the grounds are very well maintained. The owners have thought out every little detail for your stay including - a private hot tub with views of the gorgeous mountains, a fire pit area with firewood provided, a grill and a cozy porch with checkers for early mornings coffee or late night drinks. We enjoyed hiking at Shenandoah National Park and touring the Luray Caverns during our stay. My only compliant would be that our cabin was ready before 4PM but were told we had to wait. No big deal...just would have been nice to check in early. Also, if you are looking for breweries and restaurants they are a bit of hike but the drive is beautiful! We will definitely we back to visit!!
