Moondance Cabin at Red River Gorge - Hot Tub

Very impressed with how clean the property was. Also appreciated the communication with info about the property and the surrounding area. Ongoing communication was responsive. Amenities in the cabin were very good. Pretty much anything you’d need was provided and internet was very fast. Amenities in the area are very lacking but that was expected. Gas and grocery are available in town but restaurants and entertainment are quite scarce. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and will look to book here again in the future.

Moondance was great! Location is perfect for Red River Gorge outings. We ventured into Lexington one day for the Railbird music festival, otherwise, we just took in the scenery and hiking options. The cabin itself was very clean and well appointed...exactly as described in the listing. We are a family of 5 (18yo/16yo/ and 13yo kids), and the cabin was terrific to keep them entertained and everyone had enough space.

This property and cabin exceeded our expectations. For a family of 4 we had plenty of room and accommodations were above what we needed. The cabin has amazing views and plenty of privacy. Management company and owner are easy to reach when any issue arises. We are already planning a return.

The property is spectacular. It was very clean, well stocked, and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable too. The cabin setting is very private with a wooded view. We really enjoyed the fire pit as well. The owner answered all of my questions promptly and offered suggestions too. We have rented many VRBO properties and this cabin is one of the nicest we have stayed in. We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring RRG and thoroughly enjoyed the Gorge Underground Deluxe kayak tour. Thanks to Brad for hosting us

Lovely cabin. Beautiful view from the deck, hot tub was nice and bed was very comfortable. Quiet location was exactly what we needed to relax.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Moondance Cabin! It was worth the slightly farther, but scenic drive for the privacy and natural surroundings. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was easy to communicate with and we would stay here again!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Moondance. Cabin was very clean and had many of the supplies needed for a short stay. (Paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soaps. Hot tub was very nice and warm. Great on a cool night or after a day of hiking. Brad was great to work with and sent great info about the area and the cabin. Red River Gorge and most restaurants are at least 40-50 minutes for cabin so be prepared with some food. Well stocked kitchen but pots and pans could use an upgrade. The view was gorgeous. Very peaceful. There are only a handful of homes/cabins on the gravel road back to the cabin. Be prepared, there are some rough older homes/trailers with lots of trash and old cars on the way back to the cabin. Lots of winding roads in the area. The only downside that I can mention about the cabin is the sheets on the master weren’t great and kept coming off. The pillows also need an upgrade so I’d recommend bringing them from home. Additionally, we had some trouble with the fireplace. My husband was able to get it lit but he had to mess with it for about 10 minutes to do so. The cabin was stocked with some games and puzzles. We had dinner on the balcony a few nights. It was beautiful and peaceful. We ate at Toad’s Barn & Grill. Would highly recommend on a nice day. We also had La Cabana in Slade and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this cabin and the area.

We truly enjoyed our stay and the views are amazing! The kitchen had exactly what we needed and the rooms were clean. The kids loved playing bags and soaking in the tub. Thanks again for your hospitality and sharing your home with us!

This cabin was the best of cabins we've reserved through VRBO. Clean, well stocked and it just made us happy! Appreciated the layout of the cabin with the kitchen and living area being in the center and two bedrooms with full baths being on opposite ends. Loved the fire pit, star gazing and hot tub. Gravel road to the cabin was well marked and the owner gave great tips on navigating to the cabin as well as eating, shopping and traversing local roads.Nada tunnel is a must see! Takes a little over 40 minutes to get to Slade and the visitor center for Red River Gorge area. We experienced wonderful KY hospitality wherever we went.Ate at Miguel's which was average at best but enjoyed their large T-shirt selection. We felt better about our meal at the Hungry Hiker. Would highly recommend this cabin, host and the surrounding area.

The host was very responsive, the cabin had all the amenities you could ask for, clean, comfortable, well stocked and beautiful!

Had all the essentials in the kitchen to cook and the view is phenomena of the sunset! The beds are really hot so I would suggest maybe bringing light sheets. I think it might have been the waterproof covers which is understandable for a rental! Overall a great and clean place with firewood delivery and trails within walking distance!

Wish there were stairs leading from the upstairs patio to downstairs for easier acess to the swing. Hot tub could have been hotter. Minor cleaning needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

I think this was the cleanest VRBO we have ever rented! The extra amenities around the house were an amazing bonus, making it feel extra homey! It was spacious and relaxing, and we all had a great time!

The cabin was beautiful, fully stocked. We had a wonderful time we stayed for three nights. Brad our host was great, prior to our arrival he sent information regarding places to get groceries, information on things to do in the area and also a number for a local gentleman who will drop off fire wood for a very reasonable amount. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

We had a great time staying at Moondance Cabin and introducing our children to Red River Gorge! The property was a little far out, but that just made the stargazing even better. We really enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole and the fire pit. The house was just the right size for our family of 5. All the instructions and suggestions from our host were great. Highly recommend!

Immaculately clean home nestled in a remote area with a fabulous view of the autumn colors! Just close enough to RRG hikes and other activities. Perfect property layout and spacious cabin with many amenities including kitchen knives that are actually sharp (that almost never happens in a rental so I had to mention!) We will definitely be back!

Very clean and very nice. Beautiful spot in the woods. Gravel road was fine for the 4 runner. Take food with you there is an IGA in town with limited selection. It’s about 40 min to the park which was disappointing. Cabin was great it was quiet and peaceful. Wish it was closer to the park all and all would recommend. Wasn’t aware how few options there are on eating out and groceries. Might let people know that.

This cabin is great. The fire pit and screened on porch were a definite plus. There are a few other cabins on this road but you are still secluded. We would stay here again.

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area was absolutely beautiful. Our host was very responsive & the communications provided was thorough, which was very helpful. We found the cabin to be very clean & the layout was perfect for our family. We enjoyed all the extra offered having a fire, bags set and hottub were all enjoyed. The gorge underground kayak tour is a must, along with the sky bridge and Miguel's for pizza.

Moondance cabin was exactly what our family needed for this vacation! Our family of 5 fit perfectly! The view was stunning, and the secludedness of the cabin made it relaxing and quiet. Brad was an excellent host. He answered all my questions, sent recommendations for the area, and sent thorough check in and out instructions. The cabin was stocked so well - from shampoo, to make up wipes, to paper towel, kitchen supplies, games and more. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay. The cabin was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. We would highly recommend Moondance for your next stay!

The only star I took away was for distance to the park & it's many attractions - still a 4-star. That's part of what you want, seclusion & great views. The roads are windy & tight, making drive time easily 45 minutes to some of the main attractions but the drive is BEAUTIFUL & there are many sites to look at along the way. Overall, the cabin was perfect to spend time in - the hot tub, the porches & views, the corn hole boards... the kitchen allowed us to cook home cooked meals & the living areas were relaxing.

This was our family’s first trip to Red River Gorge and Our stay at Moondance was fantastic from start to finish! We were able to have firewood delivered as soon as we arrived to use in the fire pit. The cabin was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Communication with Brad was timely and very informative. Would love to stay at this cabin again in the future!

Cabin has any amenity you could want right there. Loved the sparkling hot tub and the relaxing swing on bottom deck. Even provided coffee pods and toiletries! Going to try to come back when we can spend all our time there (Had a large wedding gathering at nearby lodge)!

If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded cabin near the Red River Gorge, this is your place. The cabin and the views were stunning.

This was our first time in RRG, took some time away from our farms to do some hiking and relaxing. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck and firepit just as much as the hikes. We were blessed with excellent weather- only one full day of rain and it was peaceful as we sat on the deck. We recommend the Gorge Underground Crystal Clear Tour and all the popular hikes on the map. Great cabin, beautiful area.

Just tremendous! We love the gorge and have been coming for years. Thoroughly enjoyed a quick “date night” away with my spouse. We dinned outside on the spectacular verdana; watched the sun go down; enjoyed the stars while in hot tube; and slept great. This place has ALL the amenities with the best view. We will be back with our kiddos soon. Thank you!

So many positive things to say! Even though the door lock pad was acting up, the owner gave me a heads up and an alternative way to get in if it wasn’t fixed yet. He also sent so many other details and information that was very helpful with directions and things to do. The communication with him was easy and quick accurate responses. The cabin was beautiful, warm, clean and comfortable! Loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed cooking while we stayed there. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of good things to say! Looking forward to coming back!

This cabin was adorable and very well cared for. My kids appreciated the oversized bunk beds, the outdoor games, and the puzzles/games available. Brad was an excellent communicator and gave fantastic recommendations and directions. The outdoor space was beautiful and very cozy. We used the fire pit and hot tub frequently. Very comfortable space for family of 5.

The property was amazing, great views, kitchen was fully stocked to cook, inside was comfy cozy but plenty of room outside to enjoy the nature all around us. The host sent us directions for hiking and other recommendations prior to the stay. (Always a bonus) Firewoood was delivered to the cabin for easy fire pit. Overall a great family getaway to disconnect from the outside world. (Yes we had wifi and it was excellent as well) but sitting outside watching the leaves change in the hot tub was a crowd favorite.

Absolutely amazing stay! Very clean cabin which I am obsessed about, neat outside with sun room, cute fireplace where we grilled all stay. Cabin has everything you can possibly need, from dish tablets to shampoos, huge jenga blocks which we enjoyed with kids and other table games. Big thank you to the gost for keeping the cabin organized and making our stay such a pleasant experience. We decided it will be our come back cabin, it stole our hearts with amazing sunset views. We also went to hike at Natural Bridge, you don’t get tired of it, and explored some other trails. 100% recommended!!!

Had a great time at the Moondance cabin for a fall trip. The cabin was extremely clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The view from the deck and fire pit was awesome! Will definitely add this to the list of places to visit again!

We visited after my husband participated in an Ironman race. Between the hot tub and the comfortable deck with an wonderful view, it was the perfect place to relax and recover. So very peaceful; such a treat!
