This is such a nice gated community! The cabin was very cozy and perfect for 2. We met some of the people staying in the cabins around us everyone so nice. The hiking trails that were literally like the information said, (right outside of the property, o.7mi away) were amazing, we hiked 8mi and it was gorgeous! We could have spent another 2 days hiking there without going anyplace else, there were mountain bike trails as well. Everything was exactly what was posted on the website about this cute, cozy cabin. We are looking forward to going again in the spring and summer. Your about 20min from Highlands, we drove over there on our way out and it was a great place to go for shops and Resturants and Cashiers is about a 5-10min drive at most, and it is very nice too. Golf and tennis clubs very close by as well. It will be nice to enjoy the clubhouse at this property in the spring and hit golf balls at their driving range that they have!! Owners were very easy to work with gave us all the information we needed literally right after we paid so make sure you save the emails that they send and they text you too a few times right up to your stay so you have everything you need. Very convenient and easy!
Cabin was perfect size for 2 with beautiful mountain views. We visited at Christmas and pretty much had the neighborhood to ourselves. Kind of a winding road to get to the location, but nothing too difficult. Ample wildlife sightings, including deer, a bear, and a turkey. Outdoor screened-in porch with the fireplace was great, but would have been better if the door wasn't missing. Everything was comfortably appointed, including a heat setting for the bathroom fan, which was very nice after stepping out of the shower. Only minor thing is there are no oven mitts in the kitchen.
