Fabulous home with plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together.

Host was great and very easy to communicate with. He partially refunded my booking because the hot tub had a small issue. I didn't ask for nothing but he called me and informed me of it did it without hesitation. Everything was as advertised. I will definitely use him again.

Hot tub worked great, overall maintenance was lacking

My only complaint was the shower. The spray was so stingy I couldn’t hardly stay in the shower. It would not adjust any other pressure.

extremely dirty no evidence it's cleaned between clients. The bathroom smelled like urine in the shower was dirty floor was soft. There was a bloody Band-Aid on the edge of the indoor tub. We swept five large dustpans full of filth from the floor in the living room bedroom and kitchen area it was dried food on the dishes the counters the furniture and the table and the bed clothes look question on whether they were clean or not the hot tub leaked about 40 yards of water per day and only had a few jets working and the owner how to plaque asking you to fill the hot tub daily. In reading what other clients had put in we noticed people had been asked to fill the hot tub daily since 2022. if VRBO really had customer service instead of AI and automated machines keeping you from getting customer service we would've looked for another place instead we clean the place up. My fiancé has a cleaning company and would love to send him a bill

Great trip. Cabin was very homey and comfortable.

Everything you will need is in the cabin. I had great communication with the owner. Everything was really nice and plan to return in the future.

Host was great! He was responsive, quick and helpful. Cabin living room, kitchen and bedroom were okay. Lots of dirt webs that have been there for years. I tested the smoke alarms and they didn’t work. Also the fire extinguisher was empty. I alerted the host and he brought new batteries and extinguisher. I installed them all properly and tested them. The cabins bathroom was subpar. The tub is cracked, leaks, the faucet is broken and someone plumbed it with rough plumbing to be able to fill it with water. The bathroom floor is sagging, broken, and dirty. The outdoor hot tub had little to no chlorine. I did not get to use it or the indoor tub due to its condition. I rented this cabin because it had a hot tub (2). I only rated this 2 stars because the host was good and the tv’s worked. Oh, wifi is decent too.

The cabin was nice and clean. We felt right at home. We plan on going back.

The cabin was cozy and perfect for fall hiking trip at DeSota State Park and Little River Falls. Not too far from Ft Payne to pick up groceries.

The cabin was very quiet and pretty secluded, even though there were neighbors nearby. It was like you was out by yourself. The home was clean and well stocked, nice amenities, like a hot tub and one of those heart-shaped bathtubs in the bathroom. Hope you have a little extra things just really to make you stay enjoyable

Quiet cabin on a mountain. Love that it was pet-friendly. Deer in the yard every morning. Wish it had a fire pit. No complaints with our two-night stay.

Mystic Hideaway, a charming cabin, was an ideal choice for our one-night stay. It provided a cozy base for our adventures with our dogs, as we embarked on hikes to Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon.

Clean but dated, great price, no hassle check in, hot tub was hot but had very few working jets. Overall great property for the price!

BEWARE! The home is NOT as pictured in the listing; it may once have been but is currently in need of a very thorough cleaning and much repair. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets, dirty/greasy appliances, mouse droppings in cabinets, dirty appliances shoved in cabinets, cobwebs everywhere, and disrepair. The furniture is not as pictured, and some of it is very worn.The bathroom floor is soft and feels like rotten subfloor. The sink, shower and toilet were not cleaned properly. The shower is so small you can hardly move and shower head does not adjust so felt like using a fire hydrant. We had to wear flip flops to shower. Tub has exposed piping and towels/washcloths looked like they came from Goodwill.We didn't want to stay but it was too late when we arrived to find other lodging. The sheets seemed 'ok' but we had a very restless night. I tried to contact host that evening with no response then contacted VRBO who got a hold of him. We received a 50% refund but it should have been 100%. We got out of there early and found a nice restaurant to eat breakfast, the Tiger Inn.I HATE leaving bad reviews and prefer to let host know of problems directly but this was not a 9.0 rating location and others need to be made aware. I checked comments before booking. It seemed very odd to us that others were leaving good reports. This was not just a one-time poor cleaning. It has been neglected for a while. Please see photos.

It gave us the late 60’s, early 70’s vibe. The directions for the tv were very helpful. Great little one night travel day.

We wanted a quiet stay and we got it! Place was nice well furnished dishes and grill fridge you pack groceries and you wouldnt have to leave. There are some good places to eat nearby though. House was cozy.

Very nice and private, cozy little cabin perfect for a couple. Others have said it needs updating and professional cleaning, but we enjoyed it as it was and so will you if you aren’t nit-picky! If it were updated and constantly professionally cleaned the rate would reflect that, it’s a more than fair rate for what you get. In deck Hot tub was awesome and the bathroom tub was a surprise. Directions were confusing at first but I found it on Apple Maps listed as a campground same name “Mystic Hideaway” so it took us right to it. Would certainly visit again! Thank you!

Toilet did not work when we arrived but my husband fixed it. The hot tub needs to be replaced. There were cob webs on the pictures and overall it just needed to be cleaned and updated.

We have stayed in this cabin 3-4 times and have found it to be very cozy and enjoyable every time! Looking forward to our next visit!

Property was beyond expectation, me and my fiance wanted a quiet cozy getaway for Valentines and thats exactly what we got. Enjoyed every second and will definitely be back.

There was hair all in the bed sheets, so we slept on top of the comforter for two nights.There’s cob webs in various places, and the floor was dirty.The place is surrounded by down trees and piles of brush all around.Loose boards on the steps going up to the bathtub, which had exposed plumbing.The hot tub was nice.This place could be great if it was cleaner inside and out. Needs a lot of renovation.We had a “problem-free” stay but this was not up to par with a lot of the other cabins we have stayed at for the same price.

My wife and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary. Cabin was bigger than we expected. Great price.!

The house has the potential of being great. There was lots of dust and even cobwebs. The coffee pot was in horrible condition because it was so dirty. Like I said, it has a lot potential. It just needs to be cleaned professionally.

The cabin is older and needs some work done to it. Kitchenware and utensils need to be updated. The unit had not been cleaned very well when I arrived. There were cobwebs inside the cabin and the glasses had to be washed before they were used. However, the owner was quick to respond when I reported a leak at the kitchen sink.

We had a great stay. Internet worked fine as well as texting iPhone to iPhone. I would bring extra towels but other than that we had what we needed and will stay again.
