Magnolia Cabin

The Magnolia Cabin was the perfect place to stay while we enjoyed the races at Bristol. A beautiful location and a wonderful experience.

It seemed like the planning and preparing for this cabin was done by a genius! The shrubs and greenery just to the east along the river to the next cabin we had full privacy and sitting on the porch watching and listening to the river was wonderful. We appreciate the instruction sheets. It helped us know exactly what we were to do and we don’t have one complaint. Thank you so very much.

The Magnolia Cabin is one of our favorite Happy Places. It’s clean, well stocked for cooking in and comfortable. We love sitting on the porch overlooking the river.

The cabin was so cute and clean. We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. Great diner to eat breakfast is called the Country Diner

This Magnolia cabin is a perfect place for two people. It is very clean and the furniture is in great condition. The porch overlooking the river is our favorite place. We plan to stay there again!

The perfect place for a long weekend trip in East Tennessee. Magnolia Cabin is ideal for a couple and is dog friendly. The property is very peaceful and this cabin provides privacy from the main lodging area. Comfortable bed, well set up kitchen and the sound of the Wautaga River...a lovely stay.

Pet friendly! Didn’t need to bring anything but food! They had everything. Lots of privacy and beautiful views of the river and countryside. Had a wonderful every night. Can’t wait to go again. It was a fantastic get away.

A10 out of 10 for me! I came down to fish for a couple days and the location is amazing.. right on the river. A cool / quaint one bedroom cabin. When I wasn't on a float trip I was able to walk down steps into the river and wade in to fish a variety of water from faster runs to deep pools. Tons of fish! It's a hot spot for guides when they come through. Nice comfortable back porch. Bed and pillows were comfortable... bathroom clean and shower had nice pressure. Kitchen had everything I needed and I did use it to cook. I will look to stay again next time I'm able to get down again.

We have previously stayed in all the other cabins which are AWESOME, but now its just the two of us and we love the Magnolia. It is perfect for our needs.

Very nice accommodations for 2, it has everything you need in a very nice setting next to the river. It was quiet, comfortable, and well stocked with a woodsy feel. Will stay there again, I’m sure.

Such a cozy cabin by the water. Second time we have stayed in this cabin. The Christmas tree was such a great added touch. We have stayed at this property 3 times. I always look foreward to staying here. It’s so peaceful!!

Best location for a riverside getaway. First off this cabin is adorable and has everything you could ever need. Then you have that porch that is perfect for drinking coffee in the morning listening to the water and watching the birds. My husband and son learned how to fly fish while we were there and it was the perfect location for it. Also it being pet friendly and having a huge field right off the side was perfect for our pup. We will definitely be back.

Once again the experience at Wautauga River cabins was exceptional. I can’t say enough good things about the owners, managers, cabin, and the river. The property is always clean. The area is quiet and peaceful. It is a wonderful place to relax and recharge from everyday life.

It was the perfect getaway for us to stay at while we attended the BMS night race. We loved the location and how beautiful the scenery was along with how simple yet practical the cabin was. It was clean and very inviting. We will definitely be back at some point.

Awesome location on the river, beautiful views, lots of room for activities, and perfect for adults and children.This trip we actually rented 3 of the cabins for family. First stay in the Magnolia Cabin and it was perfect for my wife and me. Family stayed in the Hemlock and the Sycamore Cabins. 12 of us in total. Perfect location for a family reunion.

I rented this for my elderly uncle to stay in for our wedding weekend. He loved everything about it and felt very comfortable. He said one of the mornings he was sitting on the porch drinking his coffee, when a baby owl landed near him and stayed there for a long while!

What a GREAT place to stay

I come up to fish the Watauga and South Holston rivers every year. This place is perfect for that. I have stayed at this property many times, usually the Laurel cabin. This time it was the Magnolia cabin and it was just right!

Beautiful property on the river!!The wildlife was spectacular!Coffee on the porch every morning.

We rented 3 of the cabins for our family - ages 8-adult. The weather was nice for all but 1 day, so we used the yard, picnic tables, grill for eating our meals and playing outdoor games (horseshoes, etc). The water was too cold for swimming but we had great bonfires at night by the firepit and walks around the area. Plenty of parking for all our cars. Since we were all related, no problem with privacy sharing the yard. The cabins were supplied with all we needed and heaters kept us warm at night.

Relaxing visit, enjoyed the porch very much, saw deer across the river, ducks with babies. Took walks on property. Country setting we liked that Cabin is nice and clean and open. Very pleased. Hope to go again. just on outskirts of Johnson City so lots to do! Great place!

This was SO perfect. Just what we needed. Peaceful setting by the Watauga. Close enough to town to get eat/shop/etc., but super quiet cabin. I imagine if the guests in the big cabin were loud or rowdy it might be less so but that absolutely wasn't the case this past weekend. We are saving this listing for sure!

I just transferred to the area for work. It was a great place to relax, sit on deck and watch the river. I highly recommend if you are wanting to relax and have peace and quiet.

The Magnolia cabin was the perfect size and location for us to stay while visiting with friends in the area. It had everything that was needed for a restful stay. The only issue we had was there seemed to be dog hair everywhere, but we also knew dogs were allowed on property. We found clean pillowcases to swap out the others, wiped off surfaces, and cleaned the pans and all was good. We would definitely stay again and have recommended to friends!

We came to Johnson City visit our son and watch some baseball at Milligan U. We had no idea what a gem we had booked. This cabin was perfect! It was clean, the bed was comfy, it has everything you would need in the kitchen and the covered porch was the best for willing coffee and watching the ducks float down the river. We hope to visit this property again.soon.

Beautiful cabin by the river. Great modern amenities and the most comfortable king bed I have ever slept on..

We had stayed in 2 of the other rentals on this property. This one is newer overall, but on last day it rained and there were several leaks around the windows etc... We left early. The owners said it was unusual that this happened.

A great little cabin for the two of us. It was a short visit and no fishing becasue the river was still muddy but we love sitting on the deck and watching the water and birds. We'll be back in the spring.

This place was absolutely cozy. We had everything we needed. I could tell that things were very thought out. The best place I’ve ever stayed at. The water was so relaxing . There was plenty of room for our 4 adult children to come visit and eat dinner with us. We can’t wait to come back. We’ve told our friends about the property and now they want to rent a cabin here too!

We stayed here since we had a family wedding in town. Needed a place to get away from the daily life. We will be staying here again when we come back to Tn. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Nice little cabin in a beautiful location, with a perfect water view. Nice shower, comfortable bed. Porch had railings and gates so we could let our dogs sit out there and look for squirrels. Our Mayze would have liked to see more. We stayed during hurricane Helene, power as out for most of our stay. It was a challenge but we managed. We were happy to have a safe place to stay. The owner did email to check on us. We would stay there again, just not during hurricane season. f

We enjoyed the cabin very much except for the thin, not-soft toilet paper and the dust on the bedroom fan. Beautiful location- peaceful and not a lot of bugs.

We enjoyed our stay at the magnolia cabin. The cabin was cleaned and stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. We brought our dog and the porch was enclosed so we weren’t concerned. Only negative that we had was- yes it was a cabin right on the river, but you had to access the water behind the main cabin. Which during our weekend that main cabin was filled with people so it was always crowded going down to the river so we only went down there once during our weekend trip.
