Summary:

Nestled at the foot of Lookout Mountain, Maggie Cabin offers a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a shared fire pit. It accommodates 6 guests and has a main bedroom, a sleeping loft and built-in bunk beds.

The Space:

Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.

Named after Frank & Nicole's niece, Maggie is one of our luxurious cabana cabins.

During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub with cabana & privacy curtains, furnished back deck, covered front porch with charcoal grill, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature.

Maggie can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests between the main bedroom, built in bunk beds and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, private washer dryer combo, and more.

Outside you’ll find your luxury outdoor spa–a private covered hot tub, complete with bistro lighting and curtains for extra privacy. Just beside the cabana is your fire pit, shared with the cabin next door, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.

Up the steps from the spa cabana, is the spacious back deck furnished with four Adirondack chairs. At the other end of the cabin is your covered porch with charcoal grill and outdoor dining set (guests must provide their own charcoal).

Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, four closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom are the built-in twin bunkbeds on the right and the full bathroom with bathtub on the left.

A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.

Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

We are pleased to allow dogs at Maggie Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information.

Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request.

To make sure your stay at Wauhatchie Woodlands is perfect, our locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week.

Guest Access:

You’ll have your cabin all to yourself during your stay. Wauhatchie Woodlands is a 14-acre property surrounded by National Forest. A cabin in the woods is what we were looking for. Looked exactly like the pictures and smelled like a cabin inside. It had everything we needed for our stay. My husband and I are railroaders so we actually liked the train tracks out back. We will definitely be back.

The host was very accommodating. Easy to get in touch when we had a problem figuring out the mini split. The page did say it was close to the tracks, thought it to be near the Tennessee Railroad we were going on. It is not. Freight trains instead. No problem sleeping, just put rain with pink noise on and slepted through the trains. Loved tbe goats and other animals down below the cabin. Walked our fur baby and listened to the animal calls waiting for their breakfast. The host checked in to make sure things were good.

Cute little cabin village! Love it, but as others mentioned it is very close to 2 sets of railroads and they stop all the time which makes them screach when they stop and the bang when they start back up. The loft stairs are quite steep so keep that in mind for little ones. Overall the cabin is very cozy and perfect for a little getaway with family.

It was a lovely cabin exactly as described. The interior was spotless clean. Very comfortable bed and the cabin has everything we needed. The hot tub was very clean and a wonderful addition to the stay. Close to Ruby falls and everything downtown.

Extremely clean and comfortable. The only drawback is some noise from the train. It isn't terrible, but you do notice it. I'd still stay here again despite that because everything else was so perfect.

Overall we all loved how spacious and accommodating the cabin was for about 500 sqft. The cabin community was in the forest so close to shops, groceries, downtown and much more. There is 1 major reason we could not give this 5 stars, the community was closely bordered by train tracks. Trains ran multiple times a day and in the night which made for loud outdoor time and interrupted sleep. I'd take these cabins any day, just not near trains.
