Amazing views! Beautiful interior! Comfortable beds! Great communication with owners! I would definitely stay here again!
When I found this rustic cabin online and read the reviews, I knew my boyfriend and I would love it. It looks exactly like the pictures - very clean, well-appointed, and cozy. We loved relaxing in front of the gas fireplace and I enjoyed a long, luxurious soak in the deep copper bathtub. The cabin is big enough to sleep 5-6 with the king sized bed downstairs and the queen bed and futon upstairs. Meadows of Dan is just minutes away. We loved the town - everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Mabry Mill (the most photographed point of interest on the Blue Ridge Parkway) is just a few minutes away. And if you're a wine lover, Chateau Morisette is a must! We look forward to visiting the area and staying in the cabin again soon. Highly recommend it!
A beautiful relaxing home for a winter respite. The whole house was beautifully furnished. We loved sleeping on a comfortable bed in the loft! Loved the brass tub! I was pleased there were so many essentials that were provided, coffee, sugar, shampoo, hand lotion, hairdryer and so much more. Plus many in nice decanters. The views were gorgeous and the location felt away from the hustle and bustle of life yet close to Meadows of Dan for shopping and eating out. Dylan gave informative information about the area, took care of every question and need. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful home. I would stay their again.
The cabin was just as described and pictured. The deck was very nice as well with a fire pit and comfortable furniture. The cabin is situated on a hill with many other cabins surrounding it, but it still has some good views of the mountains. The general area surrounding this cabin is pretty sparse. There are only two restaurants (neither of which I would go back to) in the town and the closest grocery store/Walmart is a 30 minute drive over a windy highway that will be under construction for the next five years. There are a few stores that sell sandwiches and some grocery items though. Another drawback was that I was unable to contact the host prior to our stay to ask about potential changes to our reservations with no answers to several emails sent via the VRBO portal and a phone number with a full mailbox. The host did contact me via email a few days before our reservation with check in instructions and the actual address of the cabin. The email gave a phone number but included explicit instructions that it was only to be used in the event of an emergency. So, if you are looking for a hands off host, this is the place.
Excellent floor plan for short stay; easy to access everything; approx 28’ X 28’ square cabin; excellent comfort features…..grill & fire pit on porch; plenty of comfortable furniture and beds.Simple digital entry/exit.
The owners were welcoming and exceptional in their communication, the stay was pleasant. There were a few cleanliness issues: some hairs found on the pillows and questionable vacuuming, as well as a dish we pulled out that had dried up food on it lol. The tv in the bedroom did not work. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
The location was excellent, very clean. Everything we needed was there in the kitchen. The TV in the bedroom did not work and we could not find local channels on whatever system they were using We enjoyed the porch every morning and evening. The little area of Medows was great. We would definitely stay again.
Immaculately kept mountain retreat. High end finishes including a luxurious copper tub. Dylan (host) was super helpful and responsive with clear instructions and great recommendations for local attractions. The cabin is in a quiet community with a lovely view and very comfortable. Just as described! We truly enjoyed our stay
Outstanding!!! Looking forward to next stay.
The cabin was very well equipped, so clean and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was equipped with everything and anything we needed or wanted in a beautiful setting. We couldn't have asked for more!
My wife and I stayed here on a weekend getaway. We loved the cabin! It’s stylish and cozy. We loved the gas fireplace and the kitchen and bathroom are very nicely furnished. The host was outstanding with great communication and suggestions on where to eat, shop, etc. We will be back for another stay!
My husband and I took an impromptu trip. We were surprised to see that such a beautiful property was available for a last minute booking. The pictures did not do the cabin justice. It was such a cute cabin that had everything you would need and more. I would definitely recommend getting there in daylight first because it can be a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. I would also suggest going to the store before settling in because the closest restaurant or familiar store is about 30 minutes away. However, the cabin really was everything we could imagine for a romantic getaway. We really appreciated how much attention was put in to make it a unique stay from the touch lights with phone charging ports next to the bed to the candles in the bathroom near the bath tub and even pillows to sit on next to the fireplace. Check in/out and communication was very smooth. My husband and I were so comfortable we didn't want our vacation to end! Thank you for providing such a beautiful and comfortable cabin that was just perfect!!
Will return
This cabin is perfect in every way. The hosts are amazing, very responsive and they've thought of everything. I will look to stay in any of their properties in the future.
This cabin is absolutely stunning. To anyone traveling to this area I highly recommend this cabin! Clean, classy an cozy. We will definitely be returning.
Wow! This is a beautiful, well appointed cabin with many extra little details that made us feel pampered. The deck was our favorite spot and where we spent most of our time! Great dinner at Pickle & Ash, great sandwiches at Poor Farmers Farm & The Mabry Mill is nearby. Excellent communication w host!
If you are looking for a well kept and updated cottage that gets you away from the hustle and bustle this is your place. Really enjoyed the new grille, propane fire pit on the back porch and the fresh coffee grounds. Looking forward to a return trip!
A perfect stay-location can’t be beat, cabin was immaculate! Just as pictured, this true log cabin was wonderfully equipped, absolutely beautiful inside and out. Kitchen has everything needed to eat “in” including comfortable dining area. But, man, the porch! Covered for protection from the rain, but the views of the wide open spaces was second to none. Watching the storm roll in or enjoying the morning coffee, it is where we spent most of our time. Everything was first rate, including communication with owners. The cabin sits only minutes from miles of scenic roads on Jeb Stuart Hwy or the Blue Ridge Parkway. You will NOT be disappointed.
