Lowry’s Retreat

This is very nice, quiet relaxing place. Perfect for two people to spend the weekend at. It was clean and well kept. My wife and I enjoyed staying here. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you to the owners for providing us with a great experience.

Despite the power being out for the first two days, we still had an incredible time. The cabin was perfect clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The fire kept us warm and made the experience feel even more special. It ended up being such a memorable stay, and we truly enjoyed every moment. We will definitely be back for another stay at Lowry’s Retreat

Relaxing and great time.

We came to the cabin for a nice weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was quiet, secluded, and all the amenities were nice. The host were very good at quick responses for any questions we had. Perfect cabin for a getaway weekend!

The cabin was perfect for our trip. The only downfall I failed to recall is the smell that water tanks sometimes create. Outside of that which is to be expected, it was a fabulous trip and look forward to future returns!

Close enough to Hocking Hills but still remote enough to feel like a true getaway. NCT is just down the road & lots of great trails to hike! Hot tub was such a nice treat! Fire pit in the back yard was a great way to end the day.

We loved the cabin! Perfect distance to the different hiking trails. The cabin was very clean! We would definitely return!

Property was very nice. It is clean and accurate to the description. The only issue we had was with the neighbors dog. Although the dog is not aggressive he will jump on you and does not leave. Upon our request the neighbor called him back but would not tie him up and the dog continued to return. We ended up just going inside. I brought this to the attention of the VRBO owner when we were checking out. He acknowledged this has happened before but seemed to feel that there wasn't anything he could do.

Exceptional! Better than expected!!

Very cozy, comfy cabin. We wanted to escape the noise of 4th of July, and this cabin nailed it! We enjoyed drinking our breakfast drink on the covered porch. The hot tub felt great after a long bike ride on the Hocking Adena Bike Way in Nelsonville, and after hiking the many beautiful trails in Hocking Hills. The cabin was perfect for us. Would like to come back.

It was just what we needed. The cabin was clean & cozy. Had a small kitchen, great for making breakfast before heading out for a day of hiking. The hottub was a great way to relax in the evenings. The owner was so friendly. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

This cabin was very clean and a nice getaway from day to day life. There is a big white dog that lives across the street and seems intimidating at first. He is actually a very lovable dog named Zeke (?sp). Would definitely stay at this location again.

Such a great little cabin. Cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Owner was easy to communicate with and very nice. If you look at this cabin and are second guessing because of the decor being outdated, please don’t let that alone scare you away. Will definitely stay again if we go back to the area.

My wife and I have an amazing time here. The place a beautiful, secluded and quiet.The hot tube was great. The host was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from it all

I first want to say that we had an amazing time, everything was as advertised in the listing, and I have nothing bad to say about my stay nor the listing. If I could provide any critique or possible helpful information to anyone, then I will say a few things and hopefully it will help. I cook a lot and would’ve liked a chef knife instead of the knife that was provided. And there were five kitchen spoons but no tongs except for the ones for the grill. Firewood was provided but nothing to light it with. And we weren’t allowed to increase the temperature of the hot tub, but probably for good reason. Like I said, all in all this isn’t a complaint. We would certainly stay there again and plan to. GREAT LISTING!!!

We had an amazing time at this quiet little cabin, the only thing being fixed by the owner during our stay! Definitely staying again sometime!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Lowrys retreat was in a very quiet and almost remote area which was perfect! Not a far drive away from Hocking Hills which was great.

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We spent hours in the hot tub, enjoying the tranquility. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a lot of fun hiking hocking hills and this cabin was a good place to return to at the end of the day! There were a lot of ladybugs in the bathroom for some reason but not too big of a deal. And yes there is actually a Pac-Man arcade game in the bedroom! Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, we were only given half a roll to use :/

The cabin was absolutely wonderful! The pictures honestly dont do it justice. Such a beautiful location especially at night with all the stars. The bed was comfy and everything was VERY clean. The hot tub was just perfect after hiking all day. The fire pit was a nice touch as well. Will definitely be looking forward to staying again.

We were heading to gatlinburg and wanted a little hideaway for a couple days prior to leaving.. this was just what we needed!! Quiet peaceful perfect cabin for 2 people!!

The cabin was just as advertised. Had issue getting code from Vrbo’s end but the owner was quick to reply. Highly recommended.
