Lakewood Lodge is a beautiful, spacious log cabin with four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Wake up to views of Lake Superior across the street (no lake/beach access) and start your day on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail for biking, walking, hiking, and snowmobiling. The trail can be accessed on foot through the backyard, and snowmobiles can access it about 30 seconds down the street. The trail continues along the shore of Lake Superior to downtown Marquette and beyond to Ishpeming.

Stayed May 1, 2026This was the prefect place to stay for my daughters graduation at NMU! This is one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed at and we had plenty of room to stretch our for our group of 7. Everyone raved about how comfortable their beds were and fireplace was perfect for those cold Northern Michigan spring days. The views of Lake Superior were a great bonus!

Plenty of room for parking, plenty of beds for sleeping, and clean, well supplied bathrooms!The fireplace ambience in the evenings was perfect for good conversations about the day's activities including walks on the trail next to the lodge. It is so convenient to restaurants and local activities. We loved the quietness and location with views to the lake.
