Great place with all the emenities

We spent three nights here for a gals getaway and it was a perfect spot! Quiet, beautiful, clean, roomy, and relaxing. We cooked, we did puzzles, we watched movies, we went into town a couple times, and we used the hot tub a lot. The kitchen is well-appointed and the knifes are actually sharp...seemingly unheard of in a rental property! Communication and responsibilities were clear and helpful. We plan to return!

What a view! This property has everything you need!! Supplies were abundant! Great little gas fireplace. Hot tub out on the deck, we had 20 degree weather with 20 mph winds. We were in there for hours. Great attention to detail - you will not need a thing!

The Milky Way Hideaway is a gorgeous spot with everything you need for a perfect getaway. It’s quiet, private, and set up with all the right amenities. The sunrise over Lake Michigan is incredible, and having a hot tub right on the patio with that view makes it even better. The outdoor seating area, the firepit, and the big yard all add to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Our family just spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it! Wonderful lake views, and the house is on a quiet street that is peaceful and private. The house is comfortable and well equipped, too. We highly recommend!!

We absolutely love this place. It has everything you need PLUS the wonderful sound of Lake Michigan lapping at the shore. We couldn't have asked for better weather to enjoy coffee on the deck in the morning and cocktails at night. We just love this place and are always so sad when we have to pack up and leave.

Clean, comfortable and beautiful property located on a peaceful dead end. We used the hot tub several times and it worked perfectly! The solo fire pit was great to gather around, bring yourself extra wood :) Just a few out the backdoor and you're down to the gorgeous shoreline of Lake Michigan. Thanks for an amazing trip, we will stay again in the future!

Very clean property, great location.

This was such an amazing stay! Highly recommend to any family, friend, or any type of stay. You can actually see the Milky Way in the night sky, the views were breathtaking and the photos don’t do it justice. It was nice every morning and evening popping open the sliding door and listening to the waves, they were surprisingly very loud. When all the doors and windows were closed, you couldn’t hear anything, very well insulated. We didn’t use the activity shed, but there are lots of options. The beach is nice with concrete steps down to it, the sandbar goes out about 100 yards or so. No cell phone service, but great wi-fi. Good way to unplug and get away. Great location near Sturgeon Bay, many scenic viewing locations.I would recommend making the 1.5 hour drive north to Washington Island, definitely an experience you don’t want to miss. Perfect location to visit the National Shrine in Champion.

We had such a good time staying at this lake house! The sand beach is close to the house, the hot tub was amazing (especially with fall weather upon us!), and the house was stocked with everything we needed - kid stuff, dog stuff, kitchen utensils and cooking supplies and oil and seasoning and coffee … they were certainly ready to host! The adventure shed had life vests and chalk and balls and more. Plenty to keep us busy. We could have never left during the week we stayed and been plenty happy. We hope to come back again in the future!

Truly a refreshing place to stay! The host had everything so very thoughtfully ready, which made it feel relaxing & easy to settle in right away. The woodsy driveway in to the home, having beyond breathtaking beach barefoot steps away, and all of the generous amenities including the well kept and large hottubmakes this property a repeat stay and repeat again. The locals were all very friendly as well! There were several things to do or see not far at all from the property, however we did not want to leave much this 1st time with it being such a respite right at the home. Thank you for the memorable vacation!

This is a great property - very true to the pictures. The area has a few neighbors, but definitely feels private. The lake is in the backyard, and depending on the lake levels there is quite a bit of beach to walk on. The communication upon arrival was great and when we had a fire alarm issue they responded quickly and stayed in communication until the issue was resolved. A really peaceful vacation and would definitely stay here again.

The house was great - it had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for our family plus my parents. Emily was a timely and helpful host. The house is remote and quiet, which we loved, but it was also close to Algoma, Sturgeon Bay and Potawatomi State Park. The kids LOVED being able to play in the lake and kayak. The hot tub and fire pit were nice perks. We saw tons of stars, gorgeous sunrises and amazing views of Lake Michigan. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Had an amazing time staying at the Milky Way property. Group of friends all enjoyed this beautiful place with an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Having a large hot tub and access to kayaks and firepit were some of the highlights we utilized during our stay. Place was well cared for and in great condition. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely return to this property when we visit Door County again!

Milky Way was well stocked, clean, everything you’ll need for family vacation. Beautiful lakefront. Loved that they have combo coffee maker, cleaning supplies to tidy up. We didn’t have small children but everything you need if you do. Door county is so dog friendly every outing we went on, ( visited towns on the peninsula), had Pet friendly breweries/ restaurants and dog parks for Maisey to run and play on the way back to the house. Loved it !!!

The property is excellent! The home is very well stocked with everything you need. The view is beautiful and peaceful. Emily is an outstanding host. She gave us several recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. She was so kind and helpful!

The house was comfortable, clean, and ideally-furnished for our group of six. The setting could not have been peaceful. We enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit--you name it. No issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this place!

Milky Way Hideaway was very accurately described. Its location could not have been better for quietude and peace. Being able to sit on the beach and watch the many waterfowl was amazing. This was our first time to Door County and this place was an excellent home base. We will definitely return.

Great property ! Good options for singles, doubles, and families.

4 gals on a road trip! Took our mom on a road trip to Door County. Loved the house it was spacious and set up well, all the kitchen items needed to cook, able to do laundry. The only bummer (no fault of the property owners) was the mayflies!! Couldn't enjoy the outdoor area because we were smothered by the flying bugs!

Close to everything in Door County with amazing views of Lake Michigan

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful lakefront home in Algoma. The house was clean, well-stocked, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. The layout made it easy to settle in and relax, and the views of the lake were peaceful and serene, especially in the late winter when we had the whole beach to ourselves.The private beach, hot tub, and easy access to everything made it feel like a true getaway. We brought our senior golden retriever, who unfortunately only has weeks to months left, and it meant the world to us to watch him enjoy the quiet, run along the shore, and live his very best life here.This was the perfect spot to relax, reflect, and just enjoy being present. We are already looking forward to returning with our kids and extended family. Thank you for sharing such a special home, it gave us memories we will hold close forever. Also, check out Pizza Bowl, we enjoyed it and met some wonderful people from around town.

Our stay was perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub and access to the lake. Fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals. So many little details to feel very comfortable and very much like a home-away-from-home.

We stayed in Emily's house for a weekend getaway and the Door County Fall 50. It was absolutely perfect. The view and hot tub were amazing, and the house was beautiful and clean. I hope to return for a family getaway as well - it is perfect for adults only OR kids (swing, playhouse, private sand beach). Emily responded very quickly when I had a question. 10/10 recommend!

Wonderful place to visit. House was as described, beds and couch comfy. The adventure shed, fire out and toys/games for kids were awesome. My favorite part was the water front private beach. So beautiful. Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Although it was just a quick get-away, we were able to explore Algoma, cycled 25 miles around Washington Island, and enjoyed a relaxing evening that included hot tubbing under the stars! Thanks for an awesome experience

The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with dishes, bath towels (bring your own beach towels), board games and activities. The kids loved the kayaks and easy access to the beautiful pebble beach. Hot tub was a hit and the view of the lake (plus the sound of the waves) made for a relaxing stay. Grilling and chilling. Highly recommended!

Great place for chill family vacation. Nice modern house, clean bathrooms, open concept kitchen great room, screen porch. Sun, swim, kayak, bike, grill, firepit, chill. Loved it. Quiet and private away from NorDoor touristy stuff but all that is accessible in 20 - 30 minute drive. Everyone loved it. Dog friendly too! Sun swim

This property is beautiful. The location is south of Door county however the little town of Algoma didnt disappoint. Great for all ages to visit and the lake front property is beautiful. I would recommend this propery to anyone seeking a relaxing enjoyable vacation.
