Lake Superior lakefront log cabin, forest, sauna, gazebo, peaceful retreat

We had a perfect experience. The cabin was cozy, and pictures don’t do justice to how majestic the views from the rear of the cabin are over the Lake. It was a great getaway and next time we make it to the North Shore of Minnesota we hope to stay again.

This was my second time at this gorgeous property, and my stay was just as picturesque and rejuvenating as the last! The interior of the cabin is well appointed with all the comforts of home, and the lovely owner/host was always communicative, accommodating, and welcoming. The sunrise over the lake is not to be missed. I'm looking forward to my next visit already!

The cabin is incredible in every way and was the perfect getaway for us.

We have been coming to this place for five years now and every year it keeps getting better. The host is fantastic.

This was our 3rd stay at this cozy, clean and well-equipped cabin. We enjoyed use of the kitchen, wood stove, and sauna, and slept so well! The views of Palisade Head and Lake Superior are spectacular, and the full moon over the lake was absolutely magical!

We’ve lost track of the exact number of visits to this cabin, but it’s our favorite family winter trip.

This was one of the easiest places I have ever checked in based on the type of keypad. No confusion and well explained. Excellent layout and well appointed kitchen. Great access to amenities within a 10 minute drive yet awesome view and private. Only regret was that the weather was not colder and we couldn’t enjoy the sauna and other parts of the grounds.

A perfect place to relax and unwind. Beautiful views of Lake Superior with plenty of privacy. The log cabin and sauna were so nice! Comfortable bed. Will stay again!

Very clean. Nice accommodations. Beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again. The view is amazing and calm. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The sauna and gazebo are top notch.

Cabin was awesome! Better than the pictures of it. It was easy to get to, very clean and had a beautiful view. Everything we needed was there and worked great. Would highly recommend it to everyone!

What a lovely cabin! Information in advance of our arrival made check-in a breeze. The cabin is as pictured-comfortable furniture and excellent views. The kitchen was well organized and well stocked. A kitchen water filter was a nice touch, given the very hard water in the area. We enjoyed the scenic view from the yard—the sunrises were amazing! And we enjoyed the lake view and cliffs after spending our time exploring the impressive parks and beaches in the area.

This place is spectacular! It was the most serene cabin for R&R, even for our dog! The sauna is top notch & they have everything you would ever need/forget to bring. This will be the only place we stay on the North Shore!

Everything was as good or better than advertised in the property listing. This is a rustic cabin; although, has all the modern amenities and is extremely well cared for. Much appreciation for the property owners who obviously care for what they have.Thanks so much to them for sharing it with us.

Long weekend stay in the northwoods cabin, clean comfortable and convenient. Beautiful view! Great location for a relaxing getaway.

Neat, clean, perfect view of Lake Superior.Cabin is well equipped, if they don't have it, you don't need it.We did bring some fire starters for easily litfires.Will definitely stay for a 3rd time.

Peaceful

The cabin was even better than advertised, very clean and it was apparent it was very well cared for. The setting was beautiful, like having our own little state park for the week. The cabin was stocked with plenty of amenities for staying in and cooking, and the RO water was a nice addition we don’t often see at other rentals. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the patio, what a view. It was tough to leave that setting sometimes, but the cabin is also close to many awesome parks, trails, and local sites and shops. This was one of our favorite locations we have ever visited, and we hope to return!

Wonderful views of Lake Superior and the surrounding cliffs from the well-provisioned log cabin. Great location for exploring nearby parks along the North Shore. Hosts have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Everything about the cabin is perfect. The view of the lake was so incredible we probably could have just looked out the window all weekend. The cabin itself was clean and cozy and well stocked with kitchen supplies. It’s close to hiking trails and black bleach, and overall a perfect stay.

Great for a weekend away.

We’ve stayed in this adorable cabin a few times and absolutely love it. It is small, but perfect size. The location is great, the view fantastic. Sarah responded immediately to my questions and was wonderful. The beds were comfy. And despite the extreme cold weather mid February we were toasty in the cabin. Already want to return.

This was our second stay at the Palisade Log Cabin. The cabin itself is super clean, well-equipped for cooking and dining in, and has comfortable spots to read, play games, and take in the gorgeous views of Lake Superior. We LOVE the privacy and serenity of the property. We couldn't ask for a more welcoming and relaxing place to be when we need to get away from it all!!

This was our third time staying at this cabin. We once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. The view is fantastic.

I loved my time in this amazing cabin. When I first walked in, I was awestruck. A picture can’t do justice to the impression made by those beautiful, huge logs and grand vaulted ceiling. Everything was pristine and well maintained. Sitting far off the highway, there is a wonderful sense of privacy since you cannot see the neighbor’s homes. The decor is tasteful and appropriate to the cabin and its setting. Furnishings are comfortable. Getting in and out was so easy, and it was very convenient for leashing my dog. Finally, you can’t beat the Lake Superior view. I so hope I’ll be able to return sometime.

This was our second stay at this lovely log cabin in a wonderful private setting on Lake Superior. Perfect for a couple. Quality amenities all around with a great wood fired sauna just a few steps from the cabin. The lakeside deck faces almost due east for some amazing sunrises.

We stayed 5 nights and were pleased to find a very fine crafted wooden cabin with huge logs and awesome views of the lake and the cliffs. Quiet cabin, comfortable beds, effective heating, everything appears new and well designed. The anti-slip mat in the bath tub was slippery. Just place a hand towel over it and it goes well. No reason to complain. The cabin might be too much a treasure to let dogs in. Outside, you may hear traffic, neighbours, and dogs. Since it is very quiet inside, we think that the cabin is well insulated. We recommend the place and would like to come back.
