Other things to note:
*The train comes by throughout the day and the night. Most guests don't mind it but if you think you would be sensitive to this, then we are not the best fit for you. We do provide sound machines if that helps to sleep with.

The hosts live directly adjacent to this Cottage. The driveway to The Cottage is a shared driveway with our driveway. It is a rural setting however we are on the premiss of the property should you need anything.

Charming cottage nestled on a private property. The details put into the decor was amazing. Just like out of a storybook. Great for a quiet romantic getaway, or a weekend family trip. Property has lots of shade, sun and beautiful flowers!

Property was clean and grounds were lovely. Owner was accommodating with an earlier check in time. Recommend some additional outdoor lighting on the driveway- it was hard to maneuver at night. The washing machine was confusing - some instructions in the laundry area would be helpful. Enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The cottage was like something out of storybook! Great location close to downtown food and shopping. I loved the art gallery with all the local artists that was on the property just a short walk across the field! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was spot on as described in the listing. Exceeded expectations with how cozy and romantic the space is. Everything is set up to perfection. Truly thought out furniture pieces and art pieces are pristinely placed. This place is truly something out of a fairytale storybook. We didn’t take any pictures other than of the beautiful night sky. Don’t overthink it, just book this location. My husband surprised me with booking this trip for my 40th birthday and we went on many different excursions which were about a 20ish minutes away. Worth the drive every time. We will definitely be back again!Don’t forget to take in the fresh air and look up at the sky.

The home was a perfectly charming cottage-really story book lovely with high beamed ceilings and wooden doors. The bed linens were amazingly soft and warm. And the outdoor areas were so pretty. However, we were quite chilly the whole time and the uneven surfaces in our bedroom and bath were difficult for us as we are older folk.

Our stay was great. The location is perfect - close to Charlottesville but also quiet and a little bit away from the center of activity. We discovered some great places in Crozet, too. Check-in was super easy, and the place was fun and quirky. Our hosts were excellent. We had a minor issue on day two and the host responded within 10 minutes and had the problem fixed in less than an hour. We had a great trip and we loved the place.

Our night at the Ivy Rose Cottage was cozy and charming. Nestled between Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge, the hand-built cottage amazed us with its timber framing and copper trellises. We enjoyed Dino’s pizza and marveled at the tiny water closet where knees nearly touched the door. The next morning, we had breakfast overlooking the misty garden—truly a peaceful and beautiful start to the day. Mary is also an excellent host and check in/check-out was a breeze!

The Ivy Rose Cottage was perfect. It reminded all of us of a fairy tale type house with all its unique knucks and crannies. The kitchen was well stocked and we were pleasantly surprised to find coffee in the canister ready to brew. Beds were super comfortable but the train was loud and close. After the initial surprise of it, we settled in and actually enjoyed hearing it. The owners a a fire pit out back that the wood was set up and ready to light. We had a wonderful time around the fire talking until late in the evenin. We are already talking about returning.g

This lovely cottage was built with so many unique features—reclaimed doors and windows with original iron hardware, nature prints throughout the rooms, wooden beams and slate tile floor downstairs. The queen bed upstairs had the softest sheets and a very comfortable mattress. It has all the amenities of a modern home with dishwasher, internet, ceiling fans, easy keypad entry and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

Really cute little cottage in a perfect location about 10 minutes drive from Charlottesville. Close to Crozet and all the good things around that area. Be aware it is right next to a railway track! And the trains go at night. We were looking forward to a quaint stay in the adorable house! I had booked the house, but hadn’t noticed that the bath upstairs had no shower so we had to schedule our showers which worked out OK. We did encounter quite a lot of lady bugs and stink beds sharing the house with us, but they were friendly. At least we saw no spiders! Overall it is a cute and cozy abode suited well for family members.
