Hootenanny at Horton Creek: Creekside Escape!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hootenanny at Horton Creek! Dana, the owner, met us at check-in and showed us around the property, filling us with wonderful stories and showing us everything we needed to know about the house and more. It made our time there so much more meaningful. The creek is wonderful and definitely a highlight of the property! The “driving bridge” is so neat and such an amazing thing! The screen porch is amazing and the house had everything we needed. The house is lovely and everything was exactly as pictured with lots of personal touches. It was a peaceful place and we definitely want to return! We would give six stars if we could! Just lovely!

We have tried and tested a lot of creekside vacation homes and none were even a close match to Hootenanny at Horton Creek. The creek was safe and easy to access, with a beach for the kids to play. The property is a quick drive from downtown Helen and was very peaceful. Even though there was only one bedroom, the excellent layout and oversized closed in porch made it feel like you had more than enough space. This also made checking out so much quicker! Dana is a great hostess who pays extra attention to even the smallest details. The unit was equipped with everything we needed and she made herself available to any questions we had during our stay. We cannot wait to go back in the winter to enjoy the fireplace!

Great getaway for my wife and I. The cabin was perfect for us. Super clean. Creekside location and very close to downtown. The owner even left lights on for us because we were after dark getting there. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The house is perfect, especially for a couple’s getaway. It’s on a beautiful treed lot with the sounds of water running in the creeks, which makes for such a peaceful place. It’s tucked away, yet very close to down town. The best part is the awesome screened in porch with a fire place, couch, and swing, You may never want to leave!

It is a beautiful piece of property. We enjoyed our stay so much. I can't wait to come back and stay a little longer next time.

This property is absolutely amazing! Close to town but secluded and so quiet and relaxing. The creek that wraps around the house is so lovely. Our kids LOVED playing in it. The back porch is the best part! So much family fun and relaxing! 10/10

This little house was an awesome getaway for my wife and I that we desperately needed! Not only did they have everything we needed but also went out of their way to provide us with propane for the fireplace even out of season. They even had a crock pot we used a couple of times! We lived on the screened in porch lounging, reading, talking and playing games for most of the week, just listening to the waterfalls in the creek. It was so incredibly relaxing!! We would recommend this to anyone interested in a relaxing getaway!!

We were completely happy with this trip. The host, Dana, was super nice and responsive, and met us at check-in to go over any info we needed to know at the house. The house was surprisingly clean and well maintained. It was stocked with plenty of supplies, along with bonuses like smores and snacks. The creek wraps around the house so it was really nice to be able to explore all of that in a pretty private setting. We loved the screened in porch with the sound of the waterfall right outside. There was a bed/swing on the porch that we loved, so now have to get one for our house. :)All in all, we had no complaints and hated to leave. Dana really took care of us, and we'd love to come back soon.

Everything is perfect about this property from the farmhouse decor, special touches and location. Did I mention the screened-in porch? Or the waterfall steps from the porch? We’ll be back.

The house & property are absolutely beautiful! Sitting out on the screen porch listening to the stream/falls beside us was our favorite part! So relaxing! The owner is so nice & easy to get in touch with. The house was ready, so she text us to see if we wanted to check in early. She met us at the house to personally welcome us, give us a tour & answer any questions. We will definitely be going back & hope to stay longer next time!

Beautiful property and host was very helpful and friendly. Creek runs through front and on the side is a small waterfall.Very soothing and relaxing.
