We had a wonderful stay at this cabin, which is perfectly situated to be easy to access but to feel like you're worlds away from it all. It has easy access to Government Camp and surrounding areas for provisions, dining out, and sightseeing, while also feeling like you are somewhere totally remote in a peaceful, beautiful setting nearby natural beauty of trails, the lake, and the property around the cabin itself. The cabin is really large and well-appointed, with lots of thoughtful touches. The large picture windows surrounded by the forest almost makes it feel like you are in a tree house, and the sounds of the creek are so serene and peaceful. We are already planning our next visit!
The beds were what brought us here and they didn’t disappoint. It’s hard to find somewhere with as many and as comfortably spread out. The creek is so refreshing and lake trillium is just a hop and a skip away. We loved the spacious lay out and simple timeless design of the place. Would absolutely recommend and hope to stay again 3
We had a snowstorm the day of arrival. Our group came from Portland, Seattle, & Lopez Island. Definitely needed an SUV to easily navigate in and out of the house. We are all seasoned winter sports professionals so we had no issues. The location is incredible; walking distance to Trillium Lake; close to Govt Camp and not far from Teacup Nordic Snopark. The house accommodated us easily (group of 6 women). It is the perfect home for a fantastic Mt. Hood experience. Nestled near Trilium Lake and a babbling creek, the home was very private and quiet. The kitchen was easy for meal prep and very well stocked with all the materials to cook any type of meal. We had a storm that cut the power to the house for a few hours. The owner thought of everything as they had a very powerful back-up generator that powered everything in the home. Cooking, heating and showering were not interrupted. Would love to return to this gorgeous home. We have all referred many other friends to this cozy cabin in the woods.
Great place great location
This house is well appointed. We were comfortable and enjoyed our time hanging out around the fire.
One of our favorite trips every year is snowshoeing into Trillium Lake for a few days. This was our first time staying at this house and we loved it. Nice to have 4 bedrooms to spread out. Kitchen / dining / living are on the smaller side but because they’re all open to one another, it worked fine for us. We loved the covered front porch and were delighted to have so much snow this year to play in. Also loved that this house is off the main trail so incredibly peaceful.
This house was so cute and just what we needed. We really needed some time together...this was perfect. This time of year there's not much else to do in this location with the ski hill closed. There is no shampoo so bring your own. Cabin was well stocked with all other amenities. Both bathrooms are on the main floor with only one bedroom. Note that if you have people staying/sleeping upstairs or downstairs they will need to either go up/down stairs to use the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and cabin was SUPER clean. I would recommend this location for sure. Thank you for having us!!!
we really enjoyed this property. we exclusively used the main floor, and deck. it was a super quiet property - very relaxing. would definitely stay here again. the property managers were also very excellent. great job.
It’s hard to call this beautiful historic cabin a cabin as it had all the amenities you’d need for a comfortable stay. We were lucky enough to get 3 feet of snow during our trip and this place is truly a winter wonderland in December! Miles of X-country and snow shoe trails surround this location. We can’t wait to book this again!
This cabin is incredible! The 2 acre property is a perfect buffer from all surrounding cabins and has a great yard for a dog. We stayed during the record-breaking heat wave and spent many afternoons sitting in the ice cold creek that ran next to the property. The basement bedrooms stayed nice and cool as well. The beds downstairs and the master were super comfortable. We did not use the upstairs space, so I cannot comment on comfort, however the cabin sleeps a ton of people! The kitchen was well stocked will everything you could possibly need to cook at home. The covered porch with table was a really nice space to eat, play games, work or just relax on. The internet worked well enough to get emails or even stream videos. The only issue we ran into was that we kept getting splinters from the wood chips. We are outdoor mountain people, so we dealt with it, but just a head's up when walking around barefoot :) Trillium Lake is a short drive or walk and great, easy access to Timberline. We LOVED this place and cannot wait to come back next year.
