Gorgeous Views of Lake JUST REMODELED one of a kind property sitting ON the DAM!

This property was absolutely beautiful. This was an adventure stay for my wife and I as we explored nearby caves, hiking trails and waterfalls. It was so nice to relax at the end of a long day on the deck just enjoying the peace and quiet of nature along the lake. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunrise enjoying our coffee and watching the geese swim along in the lake. We will definitely book this location on our next trip to Mentone!

Everything was perfect! Robert was so helpful and answered all my questions quickly. We had a wonderful time hiking to the dam and got some gorgeous photos. The cabin was beautiful inside and out, and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you for such a awesome time with my family.

Had an excellent stay the views and the ambiance was magnificent. Everything you need and then some very thorough instructions. River Run was very peaceful, serene and very relaxing. The host was very communicative and accommodating could not have asked for a better individual coupled with all the efforts has warranted another stay in the future for me, my family and friends that accompanied me on this trip. The property is well suited for a review above 5 stars, last but not least the cleaning person went well beyond the scope of her job and I want to give her a heartfelt thank you Ms V.

Gorgeous views and very comfortable home!

We enjoyed our stay at River Run. Comfortable beds, inviting hot tub & porch sitting with a view of the lake while drinking our morning coffee were the best! We couldn’t have ask for anything better! We even caught some bream while fishing off the dock. It was very peaceful and relaxing!! The host was very prompt in responding to questions as well.

Everything was great. The view was beautiful & the house was very clean. Host was easy to get in contact with.

This was a great rental. I gave it a 4 due to the excessive Asian Beetles everywhere in doors. I would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous house! Loved being right on the lake! We saw an eagle and some hummingbirds, and the stars were glorious at night. Definitely want to go back as soon as possible.

It was a beautiful house, but not handicapped friendly. Would not have even thought about that normally but broke my femur 2 months ago and stairs are not my friend! other than that everything was fine.

Perfect places for the vacation we wanted. So much to do and enjoy right there without having to leave.

The best swimming hole and kayaking spot- so quiet and beautiful. Truly heals something within being in such a place.

Beautiful property! Quiet and secluded we loved just sitting on the deck with our books watching the geese swim by. Well appointed kitchen but also close to Mentone Market for lunch and breakfast. Will definitely book again!

Great place, with incredible views!

My family and I had an amazing time at River Run. It was my husband and I along with our 3 adult kids and their partners. With everyone’s busy schedule with work and college it was nice to have us all in one place relaxing and enjoying each others company.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the ease of check in and check out. The views are lovely.

The property was very nice and as advertised- the house was beautiful, the deck was very nice, the waterfall/dam was close and very neat. We were a bit taken aback after booking when we got the email with all the house rules and instructions. The way the rules were written just came across very agressively and it left a bad taste in our mouth that impacted the rest of the dtay.

My son and his family were visiting (he is military) and we wanted to have a nice relaxing weekend with plenty of room. Your home provided exactly what we needed!!

We loved our few days on the river. Being able to walk out to the dam just a few feet from the home was nice. We had a couple of small issues (lights) and the manager was very quick to respond and send someone out to fix. Be ready to get your steps in if you make many trips down to the dock. Would gladly return!

The house was as listed. Plenty of room to spread out and we really enjoyed using the hot tub and seeing the pretty water views. Definitely recommend!

Loved the location. Easy little walk down to the dam from the cabin. Interior was cozy during the storm with a nice view of the lake. Great location to area attractions.

Four high school classmates get together once a year, and this was a perfect venue for us--spacious and scenic. Great access to Desoto, the camps, the gorge, and the waterfalls.

This property is absolutely stunning!!! It made us want to look at other places for sale there. Which we did. The neighborhood is very community oriented which is a nice change of pace. And views were breath taking.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend getaway in the beautiful mountains of Mentone, Alabama, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The house was well-equipped, featuring a fully functional kitchen that made meal prep easy. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces—there’s a nice grill, a hot tub, and a fire pit, each thoughtfully placed in different areas around the property, allowing us to enjoy the scenery and relax in comfort.One of the highlights of the property was the soothing sound of the water flowing over the dam nearby. It created a peaceful atmosphere that really enhanced the whole experience.That said, we did feel a bit uncomfortable with the exterior cameras. While the camera above the front door was fine, the ones overlooking the back porch and hot tub were a bit much. This wasn’t disclosed until after booking, so it took us by surprise.We also ran into a small issue with the jacuzzi bathtub—it seemed the water heater wasn’t quite sufficient to fill the tub with enough hot water for a full soak, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker for us.The host was very responsive and helpful, always quick to address any questions we had. Despite a couple of minor concerns, it was a lovely stay, and we’d definitely consider returning for another peaceful mountain retreat in Mentone!

Beautiful location and property

I recently stayed at this cozy mountain cabin, & overall, it was a wonderful experience with just a couple of notable downsides. The cabin is perfectly situated in a serene & picturesque location, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains & beautiful lake. It’s the kind of place that truly lets you escape from the hustle & bustle of daily life.The amenities were as described & functional. The layout of the cabin was thoughtfully designed, making it both comfortable & practical for a weekend getaway.However, there were a couple of issues that impacted the experience. Both of the doors to the main deck kept getting stuck, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, the cleanliness of the cabin left something to be desired. While it wasn’t uninhabitable, it was clear that the space hadn’t had a thorough deep clean in a while. The bathtub had pink mold accumulating around the base of the tiles, the window ledges were littered with dead bugs, & there were water bottles & candy wrappers left on the upstairs floors from a previous guest. The appliances were also overdue for a proper cleaning, & the back patio had several lightbulbs that needed replacement.With a little maintenance to fix the sticking deck door & some extra attention to cleaning, this cabin would be absolutely perfect. As it stands, I’d rate it 4 stars & would still recommend it, especially for those seeking peace & quiet in a beautiful setting.

Hot tub water looked dirty and did not smell clean.Other than that, it was perfect

We had a wonderful stay at RiverRun. The space was perfect for our family. Well stocked and very comfortable. Close to state parks and waterfalls and about 50 minutes to Chattanooga. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and outdoor adventure. We would definitely come back again.

This property was conveniently located to Mentone Market and Desoto Park. We enjoyed the large family room with plenty of seating for our family of 7. One day we decided to stay at the property to enjoy the canoe, kayak, trails to the nearby dam, hot tub, and the beautiful scenery this property has to offer. Everything was comfortable and worked properly. Our family will be coming back during the warmer months to enjoy the water holes!

We had the best time at River Run! The home was gorgeous and in an ideal location. The owner was very responsive and quick to communicate. I would suggest updating the pots and pans that previous guests have ruined with metal utensils, and some WD40 on the patio doors, but there is nothing that would discourage me from returning! Thank you for a weekend of beautiful memories!

This was the most beautiful and super clean home and property. Most everything we needed was there or not too far away. Couldn't have asked for better weather, and the leaves were just beginning to change. Unfortunately we didn't canoe until the last afternoon, because that would have been a daily outing. The dam and trail to it is right next door which was just beautiful as well. I usually have issues with beds, but this bed was quite comfortable. I love watching the moon, and also just happened to be there on the full moon and an unexpected eclipse as well! It came up directly over the water which was a terrific surprise!! ❤️ We will definitely be back and will recommend this beautiful home to others.

We loved our stay at this property! Our crew included kids ranging from 10 months old to 10 years old. They all had a blast! The boys enjoyed fishing from the dock (buy some worms) and swimming off the dock. We strolled down to the dam our second day here and had fun catching little brim with almost every cast. We booked this cabin for its' close proximity to Desoto State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, and Cloudland Canyon State Park (Georgia) where we did hikes to view waterfalls. This house had everything we needed (listen to owner's advice on what to bring)! I was thankful there was wifi to connect to because we had zero service with AT&T. We ate in town at the Wildflower Cafe as recommended and it was very good! Highly recommend making reservations in advance. Mentone Market was a cool place to shop for a variety of souvenirs and snacks. We also picked apples at the Little River Orchard in town. I would definitely book this house again if we were visiting this area! The only thing I wish we would've known to do is to turn on the hot tub at least an hour before being used because the water wasn't up to temp when we went to get in. There are a couple sets of stairs to get down to the dock, but it didn't phase us. I was also glad the inside stairs were covered with carpet so the little ones could safely crawl up them.
