Gorgeous panoramic mountain views from the hot tub!

The stay was fantastic. The cabin had everything we coukd have ever needed or wanted. The sunsets were spectacular. Perfect stay.

Loved our 4 night stay at Breathless for party of 6 adults. Loved all the outdoor amenities: fabulous view, comfortable gliding deck chairs, fire pit and hot tub. Convenient location to local attractions. Kitchen well stocked with coffee supplies and other utensils. House was clean and comfortable. Our host, Laura was very accommodating and easy to work with. Would definitely return! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Laura for a fabulous stay!

The cabin was truly cozy and very comfortable. The hot tub was hot and clean and the views were so amazing, changing throughout our stay. We would definitely come back!

My family and I stayed at Breathless for 6 nights at Christmas, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in to Christmas music playing and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, our stay was wonderful. We cooked and baked in the well stocked kitchen, spent a lot of time on the back porch and around the fire pit taking in the amazing views, watched Christmas movies in the cozy living room, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was so nice to slow down and focus on the true meaning of Christmas as a family! The cabin was immaculately clean, the beds were comfy, and it was stocked with everything we needed and more. Laura was quick to answer any questions we had and was so kind and helpful. We can’t wait for our next stay at Breathless!

The view was spectacular. The Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the clean hot tub and perfectly placed fire pit. The dining table/area was perfect to accommodate our large family. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The cabin is expertly decorated which adds to the amazing ambiance. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

Our family has stayed at Breathless cabin on more than one occasion and on each visit we're greeted with a welcoming cabin in a quiet location with one of a kind view. At sunset we'd gather on the back porch to see what the painted sky had in store for us. The fire pit was also a gathering place after sunset to share stories of our days either shopping or hiking (plenty of opportunities for both in the area). Our family created memories that we'll share for a lifetime during our stay in Mentone and at Breathless.

Breathless is the PERFECT choice for your mountain getaway: secluded, breathtaking views, yet close to Mentone for shopping and restaurants, and close to hiking options like Desoto and Cloudland. (I hesitate to even post this because I selfishly want it all to myself! .... JK) We spent four days, three nights at Breathless and it was the perfect weekend. The weather was amazing; the views were spectacular; and we had everything we needed right there. We took full advantage of the night views by the fire pit with a cozy fire, watching the sunset and looking for shooting stars. We also enjoyed very much the hot tub after a full day of shopping or hiking at Desoto State Park and Cloudland Canyon. The bed was super comfy and the fireplace in the den was so convenient and it warmed the place up quickly. It was so convenient to have firewood for the fire pit stacked by the house (even though we did bring our own). We had our two doodles with us and they felt completely at home there. While we enjoyed the fire pit, they sat at the rock edge staring out over the valley, completely mezmerized. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Book the cabin!!! You won’t regret it! When you drive up and see the view, you’ll know you booked the right place! The cabin was SPOTLESS, cozy, and had everything we needed! Laura was so pleasant to communicate with and very helpful. The cabin is about 10 minutes (at most) from downtown. The deck and hot tub was everyone’s favorite, but we enjoyed everything about this cabin and can’t wait to return!

The cabin was easy to find! When we arrived it was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could possible need…even a crockpot! We used the gas fireplace every evening while we relaxed after hiking most days. We loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. The view from the back deck is amazing and we saw some gorgeous sunsets! And the swing on the front porch is a great spot for reading! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Breathless!

Exceptional view, without question! Fire pit (wood provided) offers great view and nighttime star gazing. Home is warm and welcoming. Laura has thought of every detail. Kitchen is very well supplied. Living room cozy with ample seating. Back deck with beautiful view extends indoor/outdoor seating & dining. The glider seats were so nice. Bedrooms/beds very comfortable. Bathrooms adequate. The property is clean and inviting. We loved our stay & plan to return.

What an awesome time we had at Breathless!! From the initial conversation with the owner to the last day at checkout, it was a great experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderfully clean and comfortable place to stay with amazing views!!

We have stayed at many cabins and Breathless was the best. Every detail was attended to the beds and bedding were top notch, small details like a fully stocked coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate too. Furnished with a mixture of high end antiques and traditional furniture. The view was incredible and the back porch was so comfortable you could sit back there for hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was our second year staying. Beautiful view. Beautiful cabin. We always enjoy it!

Overall.....very nice place. Quiet and cozy. The back porch view was amazing. Only complaints would be the couch (it was in great shape) i think is to low to the floor and the other was the shower heads (they could use a replacement). Everything was as advertised. I would definitely stay again. It seemed to be 20 to 30 degrees cooler on back porch than the temp outside. Sitting out back was comfortable and cool.

This was our 2nd time to stay at Breathless. I could spend all day on the back porch looking at the view! The hot tub on the porch is perfection! The cabin is also stocked with all of the kitchen essentials. It has the cutest coffee bar. Everything was very clean and organized. The location is just a couple of minutes from downtown mentone. I can’t recommend this rental enough.

The cabin was just as nice as the pictures show! The host was great to work with and the view was amazing We found everything we needed for family meals around the dinning room table as well as outside dinning! perfect for what we were looking for.

Cabin had comfortable seating and bedding. It was clean and thoughtfully done, from rocking chairs tall enough to see over the porch to a bar for outdoor eating. It had everything we needed. The view was beautiful. A very short drive to the town area. Highly recommend!

Your “Breathless” home was even better than the online pictures. The home is adorable and the views are beautiful! We only live a couple of hours away, but every time we come to Mentone, we feel like we are far away from the day to day stresses of life. Thank you for all the details you put into making this such a great home to stay in. We will definitely be back!!

The space and the location are perfect for a weekend getaway! The cabin comfortably fit 5 adults, provided all the cookware needed to make food at the cabin, and had a great common area to sit comfortably together. And the outdoor space was incredible, especially around sunset! Less than a 5 minute drive to the town of Mentone, which had cozy shops and dining options. A great place to relax and enjoy quality time with your people!

The cabin was super cute and cozy. Very clean and perfect for our group of 6. The back porch sunset views were truly amazing. We loved the rustic feel of the cabin. It is in a convenient location, close to several great hikes and the cute downtown. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again.

Our family loves the outdoors and this cabin provided that experience with just a step out to the back porch. A very nice, private and quiet location. We experienced every sunset of our stay from either the back porch hot tub or in one of the many chairs. The sunset view is an event of its own! The cabin was spacious for our family of four and generously stocked with all the items that we usually forget at home when we travel. We only brought our food and found that everything else we needed to cook and enjoy our meal was already in the cabin. We found several good options near by for those times when we wanted to dine out. One of our favorite things was to find the cabin so tastefully decorated for the season. We really felt at home as soon as we entered. With both DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Preserve just minutes away, there were plenty of outdoor activities in the area for our family to enjoy. From booking to post-stay, the experience with Mentone Cozy Cabins was a good one. They provided the right amount of contact, information and response to questions (qualities that are appreciated by the guests). Our family travels several times a year and this has been the best renting experience. The family unanimously agreed that I did good in discovering this cabin and that we would stay at Breathless again and again!

We were all family ages 59-79. We enjoyed every part of our stay. The cabin was decorated for Christmas down to the last detail. Every thing we needed to have was there. There was even a book of information to answer any questions . Great stay!

Peaceful retreat

Breathless is a superbly located and equipped cabin with the most incredible westward views which allow for amazing sunsets each evening. The cabin is very comfortable with tons of amenities - hot tub, gas grill, fire pit, telescope, and more. Only a mile from the heart of Mentone, you can easily get out for a bite to eat at one of the quaint restaurants and cafes. Excellent communication from the owner throughout the entire process - would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet and beautiful getaway.

The home was well appointed, very clean, and totally comfortable. even had a fully stocked coffee bar. Mornings were great overlooking the beautiful mountain vistas and comfortable chairs wrapped in comfy blankets. Disappointed most of the amenities like restaurants and gift shops were closed the four days we were there. Most of those open toward the end of the week when we had already left . Fort Payne, which was about 20 minutes away is a beautiful quaint community and we did spend some time there, eating at restaurants, and shopping. Thank you Laura ,will be back!
