Fire Pit & Games! Secluded Chalet 30 Mi to Montage

The place is as described. I didn’t give 5 stars because there was a book of rules that I wasn’t made aware of till two weeks before we were staying there. I honestly would have looked for a different place to rent if I knew these rules upon booking. I was on a multi family vacation where families wanted to be able to hang out together and this was not possible at this house. The owner also came during our stay to drop off ‘supplies’ (more dish soap that we did not need) and walked around the house for about 20 minutes. It was honestly a little weird and felt like he was checking up on us. (We were a family of 7 adults above the age of 30 2 small children) it would have been more appropriate for him to come before we checked in.

The Horan’s were amazing hosts! They were very quick to respond to any question I had before and during our stay. The house was clean and beautiful and perfect for my family vacation. The community is beautiful, quiet and very well kept. I can’t recommend this property and hosts enough for your next vacation or weekend get away!

The seven of us had a great weekend stay here; the place was perfect for the group! It's a nice location (both for 'getting there' and just taking a walk around), and the building/amenities were very nice. Definitely a place we'll look into in the future!

Communication was great before and throughout the trip. All our needs and questions were quickly handled. The house has a great winter cabin feel with classic entertainment that the children loved.

The cabin itself was charming, and offered a peaceful retreat with plenty of amenities to enjoy. As many other reviews, I confirm that it could have more towels and definitely some more wine glasses. There is still a lot of potential. The location was good, with various of activities and nature spots nearby. However, there were definitely some issues with cleanliness that left a bit to be desired. Spiderwebs were noticeable inside the cabin, and the deck was scattered with leaves that hadn’t been cleared for multiple days (if not weeks). It took me one hour to clean the deck as there was only 1 small broom available. The most concerning part was finding some mice droppings in the kitchen area, which really made us question the upkeep of the space. Given these cleanliness issues, charging a cleaning fee felt unreasonable. Friendly hosts made sure to give us plenty of reminders about the house rules, however forgot about their own responsibilities.

Our stay was fine but the house was a bit small for 5 adults and two children. Very nice deck and firepit. I got way too many emails about rules and such, and the required phone call with the owner was over the top in my opinion.

Only stayed for a weekend but could have stayed much longer. The house was in great shape and the fire pit in the backyard made for some great nights. Easy to communicate with host and everything was just as described.

The house was everything I could've asked for. My fellow guests and I loved using the outdoor fire pit and the house itself was very spacious. Tennants provided a ton of valuable information on activities to do around the area which was very beneficial. The close proximity to the main lake and other ponds was another bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if I was ever in the area.

The area was beautiful and there were so many things to do. We hope to stay longer next time we visit. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owners were awesome and we were so lucky to meet them.

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the cabin's charm and the breathtaking views of the lake.The cabin itself was perfect - cozy, yet spacious, and equipped with all the amenities we could have asked for. The kitchen was fully stocked, allowing us to prepare meals with ease, and the living area was comfortable, with a beautiful fireplace that made our evenings extra special.Cant wait to go back
