Pentwater, Michigan
Welcome to Cozy Cove Cabins, a historic part of Pentwater tradition that was renovated in March/April of 2018. Cozy Cove has been around for decades, and consists of the cottage and 4 old fashioned Bel Air log cabins. Bel Air log cabins are found all over northern Michigan, and are named after the town of Bel Air where they originated.
Cabin 4 is referred to as "Up North," and sleeps 7. The cabin is roughly 600 square feet, with an open floor plan. The main sleeping area sleeps 2 on the double bed, the sofa sleeper has a queen pull out that sleeps 2, and the front porch is another "bedroom," with bunk beds and a pull out trundle, sleeping 3 more. The living room has all new furniture, including a sleeper sofa, chairs, and flat screen smart tv, just in case of rain. The cabin has a bath that was just updated with a new stool and vanity, and has a fully equipped kitchen with apartment size appliances. The rental also provides access to paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards, as available. The cabin sits on a couple of wooded acres on the lake, providing waterfront, woods, and access to beaches and the pier.
We are a small, family run operation, and have some limitations due to the fact that we don't have "staff." We're set up for weekly rentals, with check-in and check-out on Fridays. This allows us to stay organized and keep the cabins up to our standard of clean, which we think you'll be very happy with. It also allows us to spend time working on other projects and spending time with our family.
We do have a limited number of boat slips available for an additional $200/week. Please check for availability with your reservation. Slips will be held, upon request, as part of your reservation, and cash payment is due upon arrival.
Very nice cabin on the lake. The lake is beautiful and they offer kayaks and paddle boards which we enjoyed.
Beautiful, quiet spot with Pentwater Lake access and amenities. Nice & clean & comfy bed. Family has been coming to Pentwater for most of last 40 years. With so many of us, we need multiple lodging spots. This “Cozy” cabin was a perfect spot for me this year (it sleeps up to 5) to spring to the many family activities planned in Pentwater, Silver Lake & surrounding area.
Close to so many things and people to see.
Great location, clean cabin and friendly owners.
Perfect location, clean, and beautiful water access. Paddle boats and boards were an added bonus! Cannot wait to return next time.
Wonderful time!!!!!!!
Family friendly, clean, great playground. Close to everything.
Great place
Everyone was very friendly and it was a great place to stay.
First, the owners and hosts of Cozy Cabins are four of the loveliest people on the planet! And, while we have never had a bad experience using VRBO, I can say that from our initial online rental through the end of our stay, Cozy Cabins soared above and beyond our expectations. We stayed in Cabin 1, which was, at first sight, smaller than I had imagined it would be. But, after unpacking for our 2-weeks stay, we found that we had plenty of space, never feeling cramped. I attribute this to its well-planned layout, well-stocked kitchen, and spare yet clean, modern, comfortable furnishings. The decor is inviting, happily lacking the kitschy cottage clutter. Cozy cabins are tucked away but close to all sorts of West Michigan activities. Our trip included bike rides (Hart-Montague Trail); frisbee on the beach, ice-cream, small-town shopping, and Sunshine's Pizza (Pentwater); dune hikes and 130-steps up the Big Sable Point Lighthouse (Ludington); great meals at Country Dairy (New Era), Dogs-N-Suds (Montague), and Great Hart Brewing Co. (Hart). We stood under a windmill just to hear it move, walked many times to the South Pier and took long walks along the beach. We 'met' several darling deer, turkey, and swan families along with spotting an eagle, a blue heron, and what we thought might have been a bear but could have been a burl on a tree. It was dusk, and we have middle-aged eyes, so. We did not use the amenities that Cozy Cove Cabins offers, but we will certainly do so on our next visit. I recommend you make this your up-north basecamp destination as soon as possible!
The property had a lot to do on Pentwater Lake. There was kayaking and stand up paddle boarding which was very fun. Also, Charles Mears State Park is nearby and had one of the most beautiful beaches we had ever seen. The cabin was very clean, and the owners took us on a sunset cruise which was so nice! Our family also had fun going on a dune ride by Silver Lake.
